Gilbert responded very quickly to my request and scheduled an appointment that week. He showed up as scheduled and replaced my ice maker. Unfortunately the replacement ice maker also did not work after the repair was completed and after I had paid in full for the service. Gilbert let me know that he would come out sometime in the following week to check on his replacement. During the course of his second visit to repair my ice maker, my refrigerator lost all function in the course of his repairs/diagnostics. He explained to me why he believed the root cause was a manufacturing defect but took no responsibility for the total loss of function of my refrigerator while it was in his hands. I have now paid for an ice maker repair that never happened as well as had to purchase a new refrigerator to replace my dead unit. Gilbert is a nice guy and should be trusted with simple repair tasks. I would be cautious in hiring him for anything perceived to be difficult.
