My wife and I spent over $8000 on fixtures at Ferguson. All was fine until we discovered that they failed to deliver a few items totaling around $400. I contacted the sales person who said that he would take care of it but then never heard back and he never returned my follow-up calls. I contacted customer service twice and both times they said I would hear back right away but never did. My wife, who placed the order, also tried to no avail. Very disappointing. read more

I very generously give two stars. The extra star is because they do have low prices. That said, their customer service is horrible. When you walk into the showroom, they have you sign in. The first time I arrived, I told them that I just wanted to look on my own to see what types of products they sold. The receptionist told me that I couldn't look on my own but needed an appointment. Really? You're turning away customers because they don't have appointments? I scheduled an appointment for the next day. We were in the early stages of our remodel and really didn't know what we wanted and were not ready to purchase. They sales person who we met with seemed annoyed that we didn't know what we wanted. Um, maybe you should talk to the front desk lady who required me to make an appointment. I found that if I go in the middle of the day, the sales people are busy and they will let me look on my own, at my leisure but, if I need pricing, I need to make an appointment. Warning, once you sit down with a sales agent, you must go through that agent. If they are busy with other people, it doesn't matter if you want to make a purchase, you need to wait until they call you back. I waited a week for the agent to get back to me so I could purchase my kitchen sink. I'm all for rewarding the person who does the work but, I couldn't wait any longer. I ended up going to Pac Sales and had them price match. The same thing happened for my bathroom fixtures (faucets, sinks, bath tub, accessories). I called and called and my agent was always busy. I ended up ordering those items online for a fraction of the price. read more

Ferguson is the country's largest distributor of plumbing supplies, and the third largest of heating & cooling equipment. They have 1000 locations in 50 states. My plumber sent me there to buy a Toto toilet (my 3rd in my current home) and a new shower head. Ferguson has a beautiful showroom where high-end fixtures and major appliances are displayed. You can test the shower heads in a large, mock glass-enclosed shower. One side is open so you can stick your arm in to feel the spray of the various shower heads. ( I recommend you do not turn all the showers on at the same time......don't ask.) It is best to make an appointment with a sales rep before you arrive at the store......I was unaware of this policy and had to wait. (I played with the showers.) When I finally did get assistance from an extremely knowledgeable young woman named Erica, I was impressed. This is a very professional and efficient establishment where customers are treated like they are important. (Even the ones who attempt to flood the showroom.) I saved the best for last: the prices. My Toto toilet cost almost the same as if I had purchased it online direct from the manufacturer. I was so excited I forgot to photo the place! I'll get it next time when I pick up my stuff. They are open until 5:00 p.m. on Saturdays. I walked in at 4:15 and the lady just sitting at the front was disturbed when I asked to see a touchless faucet. She pointed in the direction it is on display. When I went back to her and asked to see a catalog with touchless faucets, she let me know how busy they had been today and staff was doing paperwork. She then informed me that I could go on-line and look around. I doubled checked to make sure they were still open to the public and she said they were just closing up. I said it's 4:15 and she said, "It's 4:30." When no one came to help me, I left. I would have gone to Friedman's in Long Beach but it's far and it's late. If you need help searching for any products, forget this place. All I got was a run around from inside sales on my phone inquiry, who directed me to their parts dept. Went the next morning to their parts dept, who sent me to their showroom people who didn't come in for another two hours. When I did come back after 10:00, I was told that there was no one available to help me at this time, although I noticed sales people at their desks. The customer lobby person told me that the product I was looking for, which was a Kindred sink product, they had no idea where to get it from and that I would have to come back on Monday where they would then get in touch with Kindred to locate this product. Heck, I can do that myself. So much for customer service. Recommend you go somewhere where they might want to help you. Seems they cater only to contractors. If you're on your own, go elsewhere. read more

Despite walking through the front door about twenty minutes prior to closing we were warmly greeted. The sales associate who helps us was knowledgable and professional in helping us sort through a myriad of choices for kitchen sinks and faucets. This place is divided between a glitzy showroom and a small parts warehouse. The warehouse is good...if you are a plumber or contractor. But if you're just a regular joe, you will waste a lot of time trying to find the parts you need, and they are slightly disorganized. I went on the recommendation of my plumber to pick up some new fixtures for a broken sink. First, I mistakenly entered the showroom, which has a receptionist in the front who will make you sign in if you don't already have an appointment with a design consultant. I looked around the showroom and they have some high end as well as reasonably priced items, and I thought that the place would be great if you wanted personal attention and help in designing a bathroom renovation. The small parts warehouse in back, was in sharp contrast to the showroom. No friendly receptionist, just a long counter in front with very busy guys trying to help out the professional plumbers and contractors who were there to pick up materials. There is no one in the warehouse to help you. I just wandered around until I found the rack containing the parts I needed. Fortunately I took a picture of the exact things I needed, and so it only took me 45 minutes to sort through the 50 different ball stop valves they had. I don't even know what that valve does exactly, all I know is my plumber told me to get it. Then I looked at the actual sink fixtures which were displayed on a wall in the warehouse. None of them had prices or serial numbers. I went up to the front in my flip flops and shorts to take a number and stand around with the pros in their work boots and wait for my number to be called--yeah I felt uncomfortable. They all seemed annoyed at having to wait--it dawns on me that this may be why my plumber sent me to get the parts instead of getting them himself. When my turn came the guy at the counter was friendly and I asked him how I could get the prices of some of the fixtures on display. He asked me which ones and I told him the Price Fisters and the Deltas, and after he hurriedly looked, he could only find the Delta catalog. We went back to the display, much to the dismay of the waiting plumbers, and we tried to find the fixtures in the catalog. After several minutes, he said, "It would help if these had serial numbers so we could find them quicker." I thought, " YOU THINK? " I could tell by now that he was getting anxious because of the line of pros waiting for his help, and I could tell I wasn't going to get what I needed. He pointed to a fixture in the catalog that looked kind of similar to one I was interested in and said, "Here it is!", and I agreed, both of us putting on a charade so we could get the painful ordeal over. We went back up front and he told me the exhorbitant cost and I told him I'll just take the ball valves and pipes I had picked out and that was that. SO, although all the employees were friendly and tried to help as much as they could, it was more disorganized than Home Depot and less selection--except for the ball valves, which they have 50, 000 varieties. read more

I called Fergusons today to purchase parts for my Newport Brass faucet, i have spent 1000's in the store in the last couple of years. As soon as I asked to purchase parts for a faucet I was hung up on. First by a guy named Peter then again after I complained to the receptionist. I purchase a thermocouple kid Stanford White from the store for $65 when they only cost $45 somewhere else. The part did not work I try to return it and they wouldn't give me store credit! I told the store manager that he will lose a customer for life he said he didn't care. They don't believe in the customers always right so I will never shop there again! read more

Customer service is horrible. Maybe because my order was under $200 they give no attention. I asked them for status of my order after 1 week when it was supposed to arrive in 3-5 days. Sales guy says let me call the company for status and will call me back. He never did. I then left message 3 days later and never got a call back. I lost track and called back 1 week later to which Martha, the receptionist, didn't care to direct me to someone else other than my original sales guy. Only after I gave her the brilliant idea to transfer me to ANY sales guy on the status of my order I got an answer. I get to the pickup counter and no one was interested in helping because they were busy chatting away. Service is just terrible here. Their stuff is expensive too. read more

I have had the best experiences with Ferguson. There are two areas of Ferguson's - the luxury showroom and then the area where you can gets parts, faucet sets, plumbing stuff, etc. There are generally really nice plumbers and contractors coming in that 2nd places because they know where to go to get what they need - Ferguson's. Both areas have outstanding customer service and an unbelievable product lines available. Daniel has helped me a number of times and is the best at what he does. He always has a reliable answer. He verifies information with the manufacturer on more difficult areas. Likewise Sam is exceptional. They are always respectful and when they give me an answer or recommend a product or part, I know that it will work - they are 100% trustworthy. Today I needed a part ASAP and they had it. The big box stores would have taken at least a week. Made my day! Generally everything always seems like its in stock and if for any reason it isn't, they generally can figure a way to get it to that location the next day if its at there other location. There is ample parking. If there is ever a wait, worth it! Best of the Southbay. Highly recommend Ferguson. read more

Worked with this location to outfit fixtures for two brand new bathrooms. It was a terrible experience. Two times I made an appt to speak with my sales person only to sit and wait, for 45 min to an hour, while he met with someone that clearly had a larger order than mine. I asked for a non rain shower head and ended up with one. When I went to the warehouse to pick up my order, I had to sit in the sun for 20 minutes while someone located my pallet. Then he loaded it poorly into my trunk and I had to reload it or else pieces would have landed on my kid. In the chaos, I neglected to make him review the parts and one was missing from the order. Really terrible customer service unless you are placing a high price order. read more

Really enjoyed working with Cassidy in the Redondo Beach showroom on on getting fixtures (sink, faucets, etc) for kitchen remodel. She was quick to find the right solutions for my preferences and dimensional constraints - finding options I didn't know existed -- and worked to meet my delivery date needs -- even when the manufacturer had production issues. She kept in touch all the way. Ferguson deliveries were executed smoothly and with good advance notice -- arrived when they said (even early). read more

In their beautiful showroom, I quickly found what I wanted and ordered it. That was on August 23rd. It is now September 26 and all of the items ordered are not delivered. My bathroom is now finished. I was forced to buy the shower innards at Home Depot. When I called twice to have the sales person help me with the problem, I received no call back. I have just been told the showered will arrive in mid October. I will set aside these late arrivals given I will do the other bathroom. However, a store should not make promises they can not keep. read more

The customer service was awful. In particular the Carson CA store. I was the only person in there, and I was standing at the register WITH MY NUMBER. They (the staff) made it a point not to make any eye contact with me. After waiting for about 10 minutes, I asked how much longer, and they said in a minute. I waited for another 10 minutes of being ignored, and then I just left. I could understand if the store was busy, but that was NOT the case. I was so upset, I had to let everyone know about my awful experience. read more

We spent ~40k with Ferguson as we were remodeling our house. Ted did a nice job on the sales aspect, but the customer service after placing our initial order had been simply awful. Don't expect to get calls back, know where your products are, or get any help if the appliances aren't working. Our washer's spin cycle is out of control - the whole house shakes, the washer does tricks and walks out of the cubby, and the clothes come out dripping wet. Ferguson hasn't bothered to call us back on this (or frankly, many of the other issues we've had along the way.) Would strongly encourage anyone thinking about purchasing a big order from Ferguson to reconsider. Been by far the most frustrating part of our (extensive) remodel. I have never written a negative YELP review before but felt compelled to share my experience with the hope that it helps others avoid tremendous aggravation. UPDATE: the store manager from Ferguson called after this posting and was apologetic and offered to help solve our issue. Really glad he followed-up as the washer now works beautifully and it a nice gesture and welcome follow-up. The customer service post purchase is not what I would expect, but glad to have finally connected with a responsive individual. read more

I have always received great service and professionalism from the showroom staff. They are helpful with ordering all the parts needed for installations, with little waiting. The showroom is neat and comfortable. Additionally, my plumber says the store has fair prices for the quality of brands it carries. My complaint is with the Will Call process. Twice, we have ordered (and paid for) a bundle of items such as a shower head, on/off valve, plumbing parts, etc., and were told it would be ready for pickup. I assumed that meant the items would all be in a box or bag upon arrival at Will Call. That didn't happen. It was only then that a staff member went around the warehouse with a cart collecting my items. Today, the waiting time was a half-hour, and one of the items wasn't in stock. It would be available tomorrow, I'm told. So now I get to go back and wait again. read more

About a year or so ago, i purchased all of my bathroom applicances form Fergusons. nice show room and lots of variety. After a year of use, my bathtub had a small problem. The folks at the local fergusons where i spent ALOT of money showed no interest in helping me what so ever. they told me to "call a plumber". i called the General Manager and recived excellent service. He sent a plumber to my house the next day and my bathtub was fixed. He even called me to f/u and make sure tht all was fixed. Now that was service! i was impressed. Too bad that i had to make reapeated calls and get no response to get this type of service. However, i would go back and use them. the selection is great and everything came as ordered. Hopfully they have learned a bit more about customer service in the redondo beach location. read more

This review pertains to the plumbing supply part of their business. If you want to do business with someone who says, "We've got your money, we win!", then this is your place. I purchased a pop up for a sink. But, because I didn't want any mistakes, I put the counter person on the phone with my plumber (whom they know). The counter person went and picked the parts as described by the plumber. I take the part to the plumber who opens the package (part looks practically identical to what we need), but they made a mistake and sold me the wrong part. I take it back to get a refund and Oscar says he has to charge me a re-stocking fee because the package was opened (it was slit along one side, and still held everything neatly in place). Oscar admits the person who sold it to me is normally a driver, not a counter person. Totally their mistake and they wouldn't take responsibility for it. To top it all off, when the transaction was complete, I said "thank you" trying to be cordial and Oscar didn't say a thing and turned away. Home Depot would have given me a full refund even if it was my mistake. Don't go here for plumbing parts, I never will again. Hey Ferguson management, enjoy that $6.50! read more

I will never get anything from them again. First there were problems with the order which was caught by the sales person. Then we found out that our sink didn't come with a template... would have been nice to know that BEFORE they delivered it. Now waiting for an order to be delivered, we wanted to pick it up but were told we couldn't it had to be delivered!!!! Had to call three times to get a hold of the correct department (no they can't transfer you, you have to call back!) Then told that they had scheduled us for between 8 and 11... not 8 and 10 like we were told, and they have to call me back after they figure out where our driver is.... Let's see if that happens, right now I am thinking it won't. read more

Such a paradox - a truly beautiful showroom and the worst customer service ever. Between bites of her sandwich, the receptionist asked me to sign in. I hung out there for almost an hour waiting and hoping that one of several employees sitting at their desks might get up an help me, but no such luck. I actually asked the receptionist for some assistance and she said they were busy. There were only three other customers in the place and at least a half-dozen people sitting at desks. There are no prices on anything so you really do need help if you are thinking about buying something. At the very least, if you are not going to be able to help me for an hour, tell me when I walk in the door and sign in. The merchandise is very high end, which was expected. But I also expect someone to help me when I am trying to spend over a grand on a kitchen faucet. read more

AND, she also gave us the most competitive prices anywhere, including beating the prices of internet only retailers! The place is fine, you can see lots of fixtures . Waited for receptionist to find someone to help me, she took a call and was still on the phone 10 minutes later. Found a person who gave me Info , but when I called her back about measurements, sizes etc she was rude and basically said you can look for yourself on the specs I gave you. Having never done that I was clueless. Would not purchase from them, I think the basic homeowner with one appliance is a pain for them.
