This is a good store for plumbing and lighting supply. The location is convenient and they have a good range of products on display. It is advisable to make an appointment first so that you have someone to work with. Dixon was a great help to me and figure out what I needed for my project. Worst customer service EVER!!!...I show up close to close. Before time. Door is already locked. Lady comes to the door and proceeds to tell me to hurry up. I tell her I will and then tells me "that's what you all say". Seriously??....I've been in the store 5 min and proceeds to find me and tell me I have to leave because they want to close even though there are other customers in with consultants. Can tell you one thing, this location will get NO MONEY from me. Stay away. Choose any other Ferguson other then this one. Funny. They also won't let you leave a negative review on Google either. Jan has an amazing eye for interior design. Our remodeled kitchen is so beautiful! We are truly living in our dream kitchen. Feels like a vacation home every time I walk down the stairs now. The whole family loves it. We've gotten so many compliments from friends who come visit too. Every detail turned out perfect, and we are so beyond happy with the results! The contrast of the white and navy blue was perfect to give the kitchen a modern and spacious look. The design is extremely practical too with the big countertop space, 6-stovetop oven, and big sink. Even with everything being bigger, the kitchen feels so much larger than it did before, which is crazy. We also have a beverage center now that is perfect for making coffee, smoothies, etc. We use it everyday. Plus, these pictures were taken when the kitchen wasn't even done yet! Now that everything has been completed, the kitchen looks even better. I would recommend Jan for anybody who wants to remodel their home; she really knows what she's doing and will not fail to impress. read more

WORST SERVICE EVER. We visited last week and found something we liked. A sales assistant gave us an appointment for Tues. at 10 am. We showed up. The rudest front desk employee ever tells us (1) we have no appointment, (2) we could never have had an appt., because no cabinet expert works on Tuesdays, and (3) she will not make us a different appointment. Years ago when I was strictly a Kitchen and Bath Remodeler, (I now run commercial jobs) anyway, when you walked into a plumbing supply house, you'd better known all the "plumbing terms", or you got the eye roll like you were wasting their time by being a customer. Ferguson has changed this, My main rep is Kimon Alexander, Kimon is an excellent human being that has the patience of Jobe. He and John (Watkins) are often seen helping their fellow peers behind the counter, as well as the customers who refer to plumbing supplies as "thingamajigs". Kimon and John, strive to make this store one of Ferguson's best. I'll add, if they don't have an item in stock, they'll order it right away. Highly overrated by word of mouth. Deeply disappointed with prices and selection, not to mention a laborious process to purchase that takes forever. Let's talk delivery. The guy delivered the item not to our door like we requested but to the back yard! Never called and supposedly had the construction guys back there sign off on it---there actually was no signature on the receipt. We had waited and waited for this delivery and wasted our time because why would the construction guys bother to tell us we had a delivery? I will never use this place again, and I have a basement remodel with full bath in a couple years. Like someone else said, "If there were zero stars I would rate them a zero." Ditto. read more

I ordered any dishwasher in stock and was told it was in stock and just needed to be shipped from warehouse and would receive by thanksgiving as it was in stock. Not so and never had in stick and still don't have it three months later. They lied. They charged my credit card the first day of order three months ago. I have called and called. One salesman was to look for another washer in stock but didn't ever return calls. Have waited on hold only to be disconnected. I have left messages. Which were never returned. The worst customer service imaginable. They apparently don't need to worry about that. I believe they use a third party for their after sale service. I have had several screw ups with orders. For example, I received someone else's order, then received my order in the wrong finish. My latest order was the correct finish, but the hardware to attach the towel rack was not ordered or missing. With both problems, I called "customer service" and they promised to get back to me. Never called back. Called again, never heard of me. PLEEEEEZ. Had to reschedule install. Ferguson is a great place to browse lighting and even buy niche pieces at fair prices. That's about all it was good for. I then sat with a women about kitchens and it was the worst experience ever. She was extremely rude once we said we wanted to spend under 30k. I never was made to feel like I was beneath someone and not worth their time the way this woman did. I even asked to speak with a manager and was told that none would be available for at least 20 min. They took my number as I wasn't going to wait but never called. I then wanted a ceiling fan that I only saw at ferguson so I went all the way to Alexandria from Gaithersburg so I didn't have to encounter this woman. I would give Alexandria 4 stars. read more

I purchased a Temperature Pressure Valve for my hot water heater at Ferguson's recently and also stopped by their bath showroom to ask for some advice about my bathtub faucet, which had a stripped "spinning handle" that would not turn on the water. I stopped by this location a few times as a shopped for a bathroom renovation. It's next to Annapolis Lighting and Architectural Ceramics, as well as close to the showroom I wound up using most. I also stopped by their DC and Alexandria locations while visiting other showrooms. The DC store is smaller and has more of the high end merchandise--it also seems more consistent about pricing. This store and, to some extent, Alexandria have lots of items without prices. The selections are different in each of those two stores and seem a bit random in their representation of major brands' lines. You'll find this is somewhat the case with all the home improvement and remodeling showrooms., but here the presence of no prices and sometimes discontinued items made the shopping experience frustrating. Ferguson handles bath lines for Lowe's and for various hme improvement websites, so you'll encounter them even when you think you're dealing with a competitor. read more

Not surprised this site has terrible reviews. I ordered an obscenely expensive kitchen faucet that had a 5 week lead time. One week before the promised ship date, I called to confirm shipping and learned it wasn't ordered and I'd have to wait another 5-6 weeks. But, hey, they offered to overnight it when it was finally ready. I will have to reschedule additional countertop fabricator, electrician, and plumber visits due to this delay and not be able to use my kitchen for another 5-6 weeks because imagine cooking without a sink. With all the options for purchasing, I wouldn't rely on Ferguson to handle your orders, construction is hard enough without the added headaches and delays caused by this outfit. read more

We came to buy a hanging pendant light and found one we liked but the sales person said we couldn't actually see what it looked like because they had no light bulbs! Unbelievable.why would we buy a light without seeing what it looked like when you turned it on? We asked if we could come back with our own bulb to see what it looked like and then she told us the wrong size bulb! Horrible. read more

Sold us a fluorescent bulb fixture not capable of dimming, when we requested a dimmable fixture. Also sold us the incorrect vanity piece that did not fit with the faucet they sold us (the vanity comes in many variations to accommodate different faucet/ plumbing set ups). We used Ferguson two years ago for a full bathroom remodel and we were quite satisfied. This time around, for a second bathroom project, we had a really great experience. We worked with Paige Rickman who did an excellent job helping us select the right products. She also helped with the replacement by Kohler of a defective piece from two years ago. I was not certain how to approach the selection of quality plumbing fixtures in the master bath. A friend suggested Ferguson Plumbing on East Gude Drive in Rockville. I am very happy that I called and made an appointment with showroom consultant Julianne Moore. Together we selected the faucet and shower controller, towel bar, shower curtain rod, all in oiled rubbed bronze, and such, along with a new acrylic bathtub and a medicine cabinet. A recessed light above the tub and the perfect chandelier-type lighting fixture for the kitchen completed the order. What I truly appreciated was immediate help when there was trouble. The cracked bathtub was replaced within 36 hours with the help of Julianne and her assistant Michelle Paumier. Immediate intervention saved construction delays. And when the medicine cabinet went missing from the order, Michelle found its hiding place in the warehouse. Excellent selection and customer service helped make a renovation job all the more worthwhile. read more
