Ferrer's is by far the BEST company we have ever used for appliance service (or any other service, for that matter). I contacted the company for a quote via Yelp on a Friday night, 2 hours after they closed. I would have been perfectly happy receiving a reply Saturday, but was astounded to receive a reply that same night, just minutes after I sent my request. Brittany was so helpful, so kind, and so professional. Every company needs a "Brtitany" working for them. Luis showed up exactly at the first minute of the three-hour window I was given. Having worked with other companies over the years, I've come to expect delays or at least a visit at the *end* of the given window. Again, another pleasant surprise from Ferrer's. After diagnosing the problem quickly, he gave us an exact total price for the parts and labor. No surprises. Two days later, Luis again showed up exactly on time, completed the work efficiently and even helped us adjust the refrigerator doors. Ferrer's is a small family business that uses technology so well. Appointments are texted to you automatically. Real-time appointment status is texted to you. I don't understand why all companies can't do this. It's simple and it tells the customer "we care about you" and "your time is valuable." They were quick to respond to my appointment request and Luis arrived right on time and was very professional and helpful. He evaluated the washer and gave me the quote for parts and labor. He then went so far as to help me contact Sears to get my warranty extended (which worked!) and said I should work through Sears to save some money. He then said I didn't owe him for the diagnostic visit, which was above and beyond the call of duty. Made a call to Ferrer's and had someone out the next day to look at my oven that was heating up very slowly. Luis came out, had a mask and shoe coverings on, was very polite and got right to work after explaining my issue. After about 5-10 mins he told me the problem was the starter, gave me a reasonable quote for the replacement and said he could do it as he had the part in his truck. Unfortunately during installation the part broke ( honest mistake ), but he explained what was going on and even quickly cleaned out my stove burners before saying he was going to track down the part. The next day Luis called, came back out, got the starter installed and showed me it was working as expected, and gave me some guidance on how to clean my burners. Price came out roughly the same as the quote. One thing to note is they only accept cash or check in person, but luckily I had one last check. Great, prompt service! Friendly, quick and cost effective refrigerator repair! I noticed my freezer not working very well (soft ice cream anyone?!) and then saw some ice build up outside of where the freon is kept. I called at 9 a.m. and Luis was on-site before 12 p.m. He diagnosed an issue with the freon system, gave me a quote and told me he would return in a couple of hours with all the materials he needed. Luis was earlier than expected (such a pleasant change of pace from most places being late). He was able to replace the freon within an hour and my freezer was once again doing what it names suggest it should do. Luis also gave us a tip for our gas range that was heating unevenly, we needed to clean the holes where the gas is distributed better. These guys were great. I purchased a Whirlpool fridge from them and they even delivered to my place about an hour away. It was a great price for a great unit. I drove up to their place in Concord to look at their refrigerators, and Luis was very friendly. He wasn't pushy about the sale, and even talked to me about the pros and cons of buying here vs. new at Sears. He was very honest and easy to work with. Something actually failed (small Manufacturer issue, not their fault) in the fridge after two months, and they immediately drove all the way out (2 hours total driving time) to fix it for me at no cost.
