Best in town. Been eating here since the early 90's and never had a bad meal. Owners are always friendly even when the place is jamming. Great fish and chips. Love the burgers. Wieners are obviously good. Wish the were a little cheaper though. Almost $2 for a tiny wiener is steep. read more

From the moment she approached our table, Riley focused almost entirely on my boyfriend. She bent over and leaned in toward him, trying to read the small emblem on the left side of his shirt. When she couldn't make it out, she asked what it said, what it meant, and where he worked. He gave very short answers and looked at me the entire time, clearly trying to signal that he wasn't interested in continuing the conversation. She then proceeded to tell him several personal details about herself, even though he had never asked. Before walking away, she finally turned to me and asked what I wanted to drink. Those were the only words she spoke directly to me during the interaction. She otherwise never acknowledged me or made eye contact. Both times Riley left our table, she stopped to speak with another server before walking away. Each time, that server immediately looked back toward our table, which added to how awkward and uncomfortable the situation felt. When she returned with our waters, she asked if we were ready to order appetizers before we'd even had a chance to open the menu, then stood at our table while we tried to decide. I finally had to ask for more time. The entire encounter was incredibly bizarre and unlike anything we've ever experienced at a restaurant. My boyfriend was genuinely uncomfortable, and we decided to leave rather than spend our lunch feeling awkward. I spoke with the manager, Kate, who apologized, said she would be speaking with Riley, and offered to send us a gift card. Unfortunately, we never received it. I've never walked out of a restaurant because of a server before, but this experience was that uncomfortable. Unfortunately, I can't recommend this location based on our experience. No couple should feel uncomfortable enough to leave before ordering because of a server's behavior, and the lack of follow-through after management promised to make it right only added to our disappointment. I tried the special venison smashed burger. The frybread is perfect as buns. The fries you can totally tell are made in house. They have a thick texture and the spice is on point. Absolutely loved them. Definitely great to have as two meals! For dessert, we did the strawberry and blueberry frybread. With the whipped cream, it was a nice sweet treat. The owner is so nice and awesome and great for advice on what to get. It's a small spot but they are moving to Providence soon!

A huge variety of frybread options to choose from and this man loves to be creative with his sauces! Service is great and hot to discuss the menu, crowd favorites, his passion for what he does. Of note Frybread will be moving to Providence this summer down to Smith Street and this place will be a food force to be reckoned with! Smashburger was juicy and the frybread bun was cooked perfectly and awesome! Fries were great and the blueberry hot honey wings had amazing flavor that coupled with the blueberry lemonade perfectly. Casual and relaxed vibe with indigenous art and even some jewelry/crafts supporting local artisans. I can't wait to come back and try a pizza, stuffed frybread or any other item on the menu!!

When I first got the sandwich, when I didn't see any chunks of lobster, I thought I got something else - it looked like a seafood salad or crabmeat salad. I was skeptical, but it was tasty and definitely lobster. I did eat the whole thing. I was, however, missing the chunks. Cole slaw was really good, and the fries were fresh, hot and crisp. Note: There are no pictures for this review since we were the last folks to arrive! Our first impressions were good. The entry space was clean and welcoming and the staff got us to our table quickly. The restaurant space is big, and it was loud. The menu is large. Like the family chain restaurants in RI (Gregg's and Chelo's) they seem to be trying to cater to parties with varied tastes and dining preferences/restrictions. So far, so good. Service was excellent. Our waiter (I was too late to catch his name) answered questions. Refilled water glasses, and brought drinks quickly and with really a nice demeanor. I had a salad with tuna, 2 of us had tuna sandwiches, one had the eggplant parm dinner, one the eggplant parm sandwich, one Caesar salad with salmon, and I was too far away to see the other orders. I had white wine, and a few had red wine or beer. The wine was fine, nothing special, but drinkable. My salad was pretty bland with a slightly tasteless dressing but what seemed like more than a full can of tuna. (The tuna salad was just as I like it. With very little mayo. Overall, a solid three stars. All of us who ordered either tuna salad or salmon felt this their meals were ok; not as good as we either of those other two RI places mentioned above. Sadly, others around the table were less satisfied. Reports on the eggplant dishes were that the eggplant was soggy, not crunchy, and not all that good. While my meal and my husband's were fine for us, as real Rhode Islanders, I doubt we'll drive the 11 miles to come back on our own, and our friends have already said that we'll make a plan to meet elsewhere for dinner before the next show this season.
