Food service was really quick and the food came out hot. I really liked the ratio of veggies, meat and noodles and the flavoring was good. I was a little disappointed because the noodles were stuck together in some parts and the sauce wasn't fully mixed in.

My Seattle local friend took me here for lunch. Loved the food. I ordered Curry Fried Rice and it was mind boggling.. spicy & made to perfection. It's a casual dine in place tucked in an alley way in Downtown. Would love to try their curries next time. My Best Fried Rice in Seattle so far! Highly recommend for locals & visitors.

I come here for lunch sometimes with my work team. We usually make a reservation ahead of time (there are around 6-8 of us depending on the day) and as far as I know they've always been able to accommodate our group. The food here is good. I get the basil or ginger tofu (they're both vegan!) with 1 star because I can't handle too much spice. My less frail co-workers go for all 5 stars and sometimes even that isn't enough for them. On average though a 1 or 2 star seem to be doable for most folks. I've heard my teammates speak highly of the drunken noodles, with varying degrees of spice level. My one make complaint is the service is sometimes slow in terms of bringing the food out. Most times I've been there, at least one person in the group had to wait for a longer than normal period of time to receive they're dish while everyone else is chowing down.

Good gosh, I didn't realize Ferry Noodle was this close to me, not a stone's throw away but an easy walk downhill. It's just off 1st Ave on Marion going towards the ferry, hence ferry noodle house. Met a friend here for lunch, got there before noon time and was able to get seated pretty quickly. They do have lunch combos and such but we stuck to noodles. I've never been here so I got my gateway dish when trying out a Thai place and got the Pad See Eiw w/ tofu. It was quite good, flavorful, off the hot wok, good amount of noodles for a good portion. FYI, the tofu is fried. They seem to go pretty heavy handed on the spice and I got 3 stars and it was pretty spicy where it made my nose sweat and fog up my glasses. Whatever. My friend enjoyed her Pad Kee Mao and totally ate it up and really enjoyed her lunch too. Service is fine, pretty quick to take your order and bring out your food and clear out them plates to get the next people to sit. You may not want to sit and hang after your lunch as you will see the line waiting for a table grow & grow....you don't want to be "that person", do you? Anyways, pretty good place for lunch, prices are good and my noodles tasted fine.

Came here on Halloween---I'll be honest: at first a co-worker and I wanted to go to Bibimbap, but we went next door to Ferry Noodle House instead because Bibimbap was closed for a week due to family emergency (until November 6th if I remember correctly). Even though we didn't originally intend to come here, this place was rather pleasing for a few reasons. First, I'm a big Thai food whore, and any Thai place in the Downtown/Belltown/Capitol Hill area I want to know about. #Thaifoodwhore Second, this place has a nice ambience. It was Halloween though, so the waitresses and waiter were wearing costumes, so I can't really tell you how they usually are on the other 364 days of the week (or do they dress like that usually? hmm). We ordered the spring rolls, yellow chicken curry lunch special, and pad kee mao AKA drunken noodles. The spring rolls were nice and hot. They were surprisingly bland though. I guess the plum sauce that came with it was supposed to make up the blandness. The yellow chicken curry was typical of Thai curries I've had in the past. Good spicy kick to it. The lunch special came with vegetarian pad thai. My problem with the pad thai is that it was a little too mushy---having it a la dente might have been better. Also, the pad thai did not include a lime or enough bean sprouts. I guess that's what happens when pad thai is included as a side. However, the pad kee mao was really good! We ordered it 3 out of 4 stars, and that was kind of spicy, so be careful with anything more than 2 stars if you can't do spicy. In conclusion, the food here was alright. I've had better Thai food, but it's pretty decent here. I would come here again!

Came here with my supervisor last Friday for lunch. Lunch hour is busy here! It's a sit down place, not like other places where the food is in hot trays and you order combos. We ordered: - panang curry lunch combo (comes with Pad Thai and white rice) $10 - fresh tofu rolls - pineapple curry Very filling! I like their panang here better than the Thai 2 Go across the street from my work. A good lunch spot. Nothing overly amazing, but I would come back.

Ferry Noodle House (my friend!).. long time, no c! I have been waiting 2 come 2 this place again 4 some time, 2 finally do my fresh review of it. I used 2 come here a lot, when my lunch crew n I used 2 work closer. no other Thai place around dt (downtown) or ct (Chinatown) even come close 2 here. Although there is Thai Curry Simple, which I like, but I like Ferry more overall. no Mok Bang 4 this review.. (Korean style, where u film urself eating n do watever..!) I might just do that, a Mok Bang style review 4 the next place I go 2 n review... ! ha ha well, here comes the climax, thesis, moral of the story, or simply the moment u've been waiting 4!.. I got their chicken pud see u, 0 star w/ crag rangoons the chicken pud see u was the same as yesterday.. ever so consistent, I mean, it was like, it didn't change (which I like).. the perfect Thai style cuts of chicken, crinkly patterned carrots and American broccoli w/ the perfect seasoned soy sauced wide noodles.. just, ol', so, good..! the crab rangoons were good, crispy n creamy I debated on getting their Thai Iced Tea n Coffee b/c I usually order that in the past, in combining the 2 in making it 1/2 tea n 1/2 coffee.. so good! the service is superb n this place is busy as always, ppl come, ppl go, happy in, happy out the only change from last time is, the prices went up $9 for Pud n $8 for rangoons best of the best around dt n ct that is..

The menu is simple which I can appreciate. My daughter got the pork ribs dry mix hand-pulled noodles, but of course we share everything and taste everything together. The noodles were a good consistency of texture and flavor. We also got the chive and pork handmade dumplings. Consistency was good, but the flavor was just okay. I ordered the fried tofu bao which I wasn't sure what to expect, but it turned out to be a good choice. The fried tofu is paired with nicely seasoned chili sauce in a crispy bun. The bun was prepared well - not overcooked. The service was good and fairly quick. The bathroom was clean (I think there are two single room bathrooms.) Chill, casual vibes. Four stars.

Since my last review the restaurant has closed and reopened, and expanded their menu, to now include more dumplings and varieties of noodles. They also now have a very handy duo of ordering kiosks, which you order at prior to sitting down. I found their kiosks easy to use, which isn't always a given. This being my first visit back in a while, I had to get the spicy cumin lamb biang biang noodles. However I had to try some dumplings, so we shared the lamb dumplings, while my dinner buddy had the spicy cumin lamb rice noodle soup (the same kind of noodles you'd get at a ten second yunnan noodle type of place). They also now have a complimentary side dish bar that has seaweed salad, peanuts, and kimci, as well as some condiment type things like scallions and minced garlic. I helped myself to some seaweed salad to nibble on while waiting for our food, and it was good although food comes out quickly enough that you don't necessarily have to rely on it unless you're really chomping at the bit. The spicy cumin lamb biang biang noodles are just as good as I remember. The biang biang noodles here are perfectly chewy, and the rest of the dish has a lovely flavor aside from just spice. They're generous with lamb and cabbage which add a lot of textural variety to the plate. The lamb dumplings were the sleeper hit of the meal, filled with juicy, tender hunks of lamb surrounded by toothsome clearly hand-rolled wrappers. Absolutely do not skip the lamb dumplings. My dinner buddy really enjoyed her rice noodle soup with spicy cumin lamb, which I think would be a great option on a cold day. Everything is pretty much self serve here, so don't expect full service -- although they did stop by to refill our water once. There isn't a ton of room for large groups, but the turnover is quick and thus the weights are usually quite minimal. Service is very good overall and super friendly. I would highly not recommend using their bathroom, as it's tiny, cramped, and not in the best condition. The noodle soups vary from wonton noodles to fishballs. They also specialize in beef brisket and fishballs, making this feel like a bit of a Hong Kong style cafe. Most of the soups average out to be $14-16, depending on size. It's a joy to watch them assemble the bowls in lightning quick fashion. Wontons are excellent. They're plump with just enough skin for texture and are complemented by a fragrant soup and very little skimpage on the noodle (#1). Enjoyed a bowl of "the classic" with extra chashu... extra delicious, good service, and ambiance was that of a small little ramen house....very quaint! My problem with the place occurred during my second and recent visit here...this time with my family. This time no line (1145) so we were immediately offered a table by the host/waiter who pointed to a 4-top in the corner by the window. We made our way there from the host stand and were led by my son, an extremely polite 25 year old young man. My son believed our table "in the corner by the window" was the one just being cleared by the busser (who turned out to be the manager). My son asked if this was the appropriate table and the busser said no it wasn't and ours was the one the one next to it...and then followed that up by calling my son "stupid." Everyone in our group was extremely caught off-guard, most notably my son who confirmed what we all thought she had said... before she fled back into the employee's back room. Our group took a seat at the table as we clarified once again what had just happened. The host/waiter came over to our table and asked if we wanted anything to get started and what we wanted to drink. I explained to him what had just happened and that's when he informed me that the individual that had called my son stupid was the store manager!! I asked to speak with her and he went and asked her to come out to our table to address us. He returned a few minutes later and said, "that didn't interest her!" I immediately stood up and walked over to the kitchen area near where she initially disappeared from sight. The area was clearly marked employee's only and the waiter asked if I please would not go into the back room. I obliged as I certainly didn't want to make a scene. I explained to the waiter that I was not too pleased with her comments to my son and her behavior overall and that I would return to my seat to see if we would remain or elect to go elsewhere. He responded, "that makes absolute sense. I totally understand." His comments were such and his demeanor overall made me feel that this may not have been an unusual experience and that we may not have been the first customers to have such a negative experience with the manager. Tho, if true, I don't believe he was in any position to confirm or deny anything...which made me feel pretty sad for the waitstaff. Anyhow... we elected to stay as we were: 1) really craving ramen; 2) I had talked up Ramen Danbo to my family; and 3) we were on a rare visit into Seattle. So we did end up staying and enjoying some excellent ramen and excellent service - at least by the remainder of the staff! I did keep an eye out for the duration of our visit and the manager never came out onto the floor while we were there. Found this behavior just further evidence of her childish unprofessionalism...sad. SO, I leave this review in hopes the owner of this small chain reads this review, recognizes it's written by someone that puts effort into his Yelp reviews and recommends that you look into the behavior of an employee you hired/promoted into a supervisory/managerial position. You have a VERY unprofessional individual at the helm and I think the behavior my family and I witnessed the other day may only be the tip of the iceberg. I spent almost 25 years in the food industry and you should investigate your manager. At this point in time...we will not be back. Not when there are other quality ramen houses in the Emerald City.

I felt like the rice was a bit lacking in flavor, and they only have the standard soy sauce, not the ones in a sauce tray that is usually a bit sweeter. The salt and pepper fried fish filet was good - definitely recommend that for the taste and value. The noodle soup was also good - the wontons were okay but I loved the beef brisket. Noodles seem to be handmade as the texture is a bit uneven, but I appreciate these types of noodles more. Service is standard for a Chinese restaurant - you just need to flag them down and requests are fulfilled in a timely manner

This place is a true gem, serving satisfying, delicious food in a relaxed atmosphere at an affordable price. The restaurant looks small from the front, but space is used efficiently and they manage to fit quite a bit of seating into not that large of a dining room. Tables are mostly four tops, quite spacious at that, and surrounded by sturdy wooden chairs. I came for dinner on a Friday evening and there were a few other tables at any given time. Service was quick and our water never ran empty. We had the wontons in hot oil, topped with peanuts, I had the beef chow fun, and my dinner buddy had the pork with hot sauce noodles. The wontons are very very good, stuffed with flavorful pork and swimming in a sauce that sits in that perfect spot at the intersection of hot and sour. The peanuts and scallions add a delightful crunch. Their beef chow fun satisfies every bit of childhood nostalgia I have for this dish, with lots of wok hei, bouncy noodles, and the most tender of beef. I think my favorite beef chow fun in the city still lives at A+ Hong Kong Kitchen, but this is a close second. The portion here is also huge. I am a human vacuum and I actually brought leftovers home, which is rare for me. The pork with hot sauce noodles is seemingly a fusion of zha jiang mian and dan dan noodles. My friend really enjoyed it and actually finished the whole thing, which is saying something given that she doesn't usually eat that much. There are so many other items on the menu that I'm eager to try, so I will definitely be back.
