Best fried rice I've had. Highly recommend this place if looking for good Thai food in Seattle

This restaurant is one of my favorite Thai places in Seattle. It is a short walk from SLU or from the Space Needle and I like to walk here if I'm in the area. The restaurant has lots of tables. It is usually pretty busy during dinner time, but I've never had to wait and always got seated immediately. There are lots of cool art painted on the wall. It is not too loud hermaking it a good place to catch up with friends. The entree comes with a big portion and lots of rice. I highly recommend the Pla Chu Chi fish dish, which is deep fried trout with panang curry. I haven't seen this dish at other Thai places in the area. The default spice level is the right amount of spicy without overwhelming the dish. We also got drunken noodles and it was a little underwhelming. I've tried other entrees and noodles dishes throughout multiple visits and they were pretty good. The food arrived very fast, and our server refilled our water throughout the meal. read more

I recently moved to the neighborhood and decided to give this place a shot. Other reviews have said that it's hit or miss, but my pad thai was tasty and the portion size felt appropriate for the price. I got a 3/5 spice level (my usual at a new place) and it struck me as pretty mild compared to other pad thai that I've had. That said, it was still quite flavorful and the pork was cooked to my liking, so it was still plenty good enough that I think they deserve a bump in their rating. It comes with a small shredded cabbage salad, which I like as a pallet cleanser but I know not everyone does. The food was ready very quickly and the restaurant is conveniently located near the Belltown pickleball court, so it's very walkable and it would be easy enough to find a place to sit outside. The restaurant itself seemed cozy but I got my food to go. The people at the front desk were nice and greeted me right away. I will definitely be going back. Their lunch menu is a little cheaper, so I'm looking forward to trying that out. read more

I was so hungry that I once again forgot to take pictures of the food before I started to dig in. I was pleasantly greeted once I walked into the space I was seated instantly. There were a few people already enjoying their meals and many more people were strolling in as I sat reading the menu. I decided to order the chicken with basil in the curry sauce . It came with a bowl of white rice. I also ordered a Thai iced tea. It took about ten minutes for the food to come out. It was absolutely delicious. The sauce was the perfect blend of a little spicy, a little citrusy, and a little sweet. I could see that other tables offered various dishes where the people looked very satisfied with their meals. I ordered from Grub Hub and this was one of the most delicious meal we have eaten ! Tom Yum soup with chicken delicious as well the post stickers were really yummy. The stars of the show was the hr Pad Kee Mao with chicken and the peanut sauce.. what a flavor explosion! Sweet and Sour chicken great also glad it wasn't fried! We were by the space needle and wanted to grab a quick lunch so we decided to try Golden Singha since it was right there! I really liked how they have lunch combinations because you get both pad thai and rice with the entree you chose. My boyfriend and I shared a lunch combination plate with the red curry and an order of spring rolls. They start you off with some soup, which kinda tasted like the cup noodle broth but still good haha. The red curry was great and had a lot of chicken! Both the pad Thai and rice were good as well and moist. The spring rolls were crispy and tasty. We also ordered the mango sticky rice for dessert and it was so yummy! One of the best mango sticky rice I've had because the mango pieces were big and sweet and the rice was nice and warm. Service was friendly and we were surprised with how fast our food came out! Finally decided to try this place out and enjoyed everything we ate. We started off with their chicken satay with peanut sauce, I liked that their chicken came with large chunks and liked the flavor of the peanut sauce. We ordered the cashew chicken, heavenly steak, and massaman curry with pork and potatoes. All of the dishes were very good and made food good leftovers. I ordered spring rolls and curry here. I had horrible diarrhea after eating their food. And it's the only food I ate that day.

The food here is truly hit or miss. Much of it is not all that flavourful, and the composition (of the Phad Kee Mow in particular) really varies with who is doing the cooking. The staff is nice, and eager to please, however the quality of the food truly is inconsistent, and should be improved. read more

went to this restaurant 10 years ago and had the best Phad Thai I ever had. We came from out of town and our hotel was by the Space Needle and I was craving Thai food. We went in as a party of 9 on a Saturday evening and were seated right away. The 2 waiters were very attentive, took our orders quickly and our food arrived fast. Everything we ordered was delicious, our portions were generous and our children loved the food as well! They automatically billed an 18% tip to our receipt but they deserved well over 20%. Our water glasses were never empty and they checked on us frequently. I've been to over 50 Thai restaurants and their Phad Thai is still one of the best! read more

I want to preface this review by saying my experience is based on a to-go order, not dining in. I ordered the tofu Phad Thai (3-star spice), and unfortunately, it just didn't hit the spot. The dish lacked the bold, rich flavor I usually expect from Phad Thai. Instead of the classic deep golden color and savory-sweet depth, the noodles were pale yellow and nearly translucent, with a very light flavor overall. The sauce felt watered down and didn't cling to the noodles, leaving the dish tasting flat and unbalanced. A friend had recommended this spot to me, raving about how great it was, but also noted the food can be inconsistent. Sadly, my order fell into the "off day" category. I'm giving 3 stars only because I wasn't able to experience the restaurant in person. As a takeout experience, it was disappointing. read more

Excellent beef pad Thai and pineapple curry. I've been looking for good Pad Thai for awhile and this place nailed it, not overly lime flavored and just right balance with all the ingredients. The Hot level "3" was not quite spicy enough for me but I was able to add enough spice to make it just right. read more

After a long day of exploring the city, we saw this place and decided some hot dishes would be great. We ordered the pad thai and a chicken with vegetables dish along with spring rolls. The pad thai was delicious, tangy and flavorful. The chicken and vegetables dish was yummy as well, but, for medium spicy, it could have been spicier. Go heavy on the spice level if you like spicy. The spring rolls were piping hot, so be careful chomping down on those when they come out. The server was good and attentive. I was staying in the area overnight and after a six hour flight I was hungry and tired, and it was my birthday so I wanted a good meal. We spotted this restaurant and decided to try it. So glad we did. The restaurant was clean and cozy and our waitress was friendly and helpful. There are many great dishes on the menu. I ordered the Garlic Delight with chicken, spicy level of 2. The vegetables were cooked perfectly and the food was authentic Thai. It's a small place but you'll get authentic food and the portions are large. I ordered a glass of Cabernet wine for $8.00 and was very impressed with the quality and the large pour. The glass was almost full. I liked it enough to order another glass We were so fortunate to happen upon this restaurant and I highly recommend it. The prices are very reasonable and the food is prepared perfectly. A group of six of us came by here on a Wednesday evening after walking around Seattle Center area. Luckily, it wasn't busy at all so we got a table right away. The place has pretty tight seating but it is a large place for the city. There was only one other group there so service was quick and easy. They consistently were refilling our waters, which I always appreciate. I ordered a pad kee mao with chicken. For a group of six, our meals came out very quickly. Probably within ten minutes all our meals came out. The pad kee mao wasn't anything special. It was filling though so I appreciate that. The highlight of the restaurant was probably their fish tank up front and the service. The servers were very friendly to us and made it a great experience. The prices for food were also quite expensive for being nothing special. Entrees were over $20 each. Probably wouldn't come back here again. read more

Food was good but the Service was really not expected to be of any ethical standards. Beware of this. We were 4 of us (2 kids, Mom and Dad) and they charged us service charge 18% gratuity. The reason given to us was that it is a Friday and we charge everyone. We asked for a wedge of lemon with water and they said we will be charged extra for that. I cannot believe this. My second night in Seattle, and I had walked past this restaurant the night before, and it looked really interesting so I want to give it a shot. The menu looked fairly robust with a lot of the traditional Thai cuisine that you'd be familiar with at a Thai Restaurant. I was really conflicted and couldn't really decide what to eat, as the descriptions on the menu made everything sound amazing. When the server came, I asked what she would recommend as it all sounded very good. She pointed to what I believe was called "Heavenly Beef" So I went with it. Since I was eating at the Golden Singhai, I was went and ordered a Singhai to enjoy with my meal. When my meal came, it looked good, lots to of mixed vegetables, and steaming hot (temperature wise). However, the flavor was okay. Very ...."Play it safe" flavors. It tasted like the chef only used soy sauce, sugar, and a dash of salt. Not bad, but not something I would want to order again. The rice was a little on the soggy side. The top part was okay, but in the middle and bottom of the bowl, the rice was wet and soggy. All in all, it was an okay meal. read more

Golden Singha is one of the best take out options in Seattle. If you want a good sized portion of super yummy flavorful Thai for a reasonable price this is the place for you. I love love love their Pad Thai. I never order Pad Thai at other Thai places because it's just not my dish of preference, but the Pad Thai from Singha is crave-worthy. I decided to leave this review today after realizing they have an amazing deal on a lunch combination (see pictures). $14 for your choice of entree, rice, AND a good portion of Pad Thai.
