Orders come out quite slow since they only have two cooking stations. My table waited ~20 minutes for an order of soup. Food was not terrible but not good. My table ordered the Tom Yum soup and it was a random medly of stale ingredients (old celery, cuts of carrot, and overcooked shrimp). The taste was of seasoning packets and msg. The chicken fried rice was generous and delicious. My mom loved the gluten free pad see ew and wanted to return just for that. The service is a bit slow though. If they're super busy, you may be waiting awhile. They also enforce a "no outside food" policy but they're in the middle of pike place. If families or groups can't decide what they want, does EVERYONE have to eat here? Lastly, the ambiance is nothing special. Great spicy level! Customer service was fast and staff communicated well for dietary restrictions. This is a great spot to grab a bit for lunch for a family. Not many places in Pike Place have high chairs and plenty of seating options, so this is a nice spot to get away from the fast paced energy of Pike Place Market but still be in it. read more

Decided to try this place for lunch and thought it was ok. It's not that easy to find but it's close to Rachel's ginger beer. I got the pad Thai with chicken. For $9, you get a pretty generous portion but the food was just ok. You basically just get noodle and chicken and a little of peanut and bean sprouts and that's it. Located in Post Alley across the hallway from Rachel's Ginger Beer, I saw a little Thai spot so I thought I would try it for lunch. Saw that they had some lunch specials and also quite affordable so I got the Garlic Chicken. Order at the counter, go sit down, they will bring it out to you style. It was ok, it is freshly cooked so it's served super hot and comes with 2 scoops of rice. They do go pretty heavy handed on the spice level and I got 2 stars and it was pretty spicy causing them sweat beads on my forehead. The chicken was good, veg was mainly celery(not a fan), carrots, onion and a few pieces of broccoli. Ehhh......it was just ok in my opinion. I love this place! I always get the chicken salad and i do spicy level 4 and the flavor is amazing! Yes its fairly spicy and makes my mouth water but it really brings out the flavor. I can't say much about the rest of the menu since the first time I went here I tried the chicken salad loved it and have gotten that every time since. Sooooo, yeah..... I ordered the Bathing Rama with chicken, 4 star (out of 4) spicy, TO GO. The guy taking orders was like "you sure?" then jokingly made a gun to the temple hand gesture and a bang noise, implying it would be CRAZY spicy. After about half an hour of waiting at the counter seats, he leaned over and asked "You had the bathing chicken, right?". "Yep." Handed by bag of noms, I head back to my office. Upon opening it though... I find Bathing Rama...with....tofu. WHAAA!?!?!? The sauce was lumpy, and many of the veggies were soggy/mushy. Worst of all, the spiciness was mediocre. They should just call it Mediocre Thai. I ordered Pad Kee Mao with tofu. That was it, no sides or extras. After tax and a .25 fee for take-out my total came to $8.55. I didn't get to see if the cook washed his hands, but let's just hope he did because he wasn't wearing gloves while reaching into pre-prepped veggie bins. The dish itself was unimpressive and wasn't even prepared right. Instead of wide noodles it came with skinny, limp rice noodles. And there was no egg. Last time I checked Pad Kee Moa is served with scrambled egg. It said on the menu it comes with egg, but I was already late for work and didn't have time to argue. When I finally got to sit down I found out the dish also didn't have tomatoes, another basic ingredient for Pad Kee Mao. The flavor wasn't quite right like the wrong portions of sauces were used. Just a heads up. They use a 4 star rating system so if you usually order your dish with 3 stars (like me), 2 stars here will do you just fine. Don't waste your time, money or appetite here. I work downtown and am looking for a good Thai lunch place so I decided to give Jasmine Thai a try. I ordered pad kee mao noodles and I got a dish that was reddish in color with very skinny noodles. Normally this dish is made with wide rice noodles so I went to the counter and asked if I had gotten the right dish. The 'chef' pointed to my dish told me there 'were bigger noodles under there'...which made no sense...and then he told me it was pad kee mao. I accepted his answer, told him I was just checking and turned to go back to my table. Then he says to the back of my head "It's good, don't worry about it." So....I didn't worry about it but it wasn't good. The noodles were swimming in a red sauce that kind of tasted like weak sweet-ish ketchup. I don't throw food away so I ate...no...chewed...not the word, uh...masticated! the awful pile of glop until all caloric content was delivered to my digestive system. As my hubby was in the long line for Pike's Place Chower, I decided to grab a noodle dish to go for my boys (who tend to favor Asian food over sandwiches/soups).
