We gave it a try despite what appears to be an unfair rating. The drinks were tasty and reasonably priced for seattle. Mango and rainforest martinis were refreshing and fruity. Garlic Lovers (chicken) was generous with fresh steamed veggies and chicken. Bamboo Shoots entree (chicken) had a variety of colors and packed with flavor. Generous portions left plenty to take home and it came with generous scoop of jasmine rice (like it should, take note Ginger Thai). Service was friendly and welcoming. Poor little restaurant is surrounded by major construction of new skyscrapers, but the little courtyard outside is a welcome respite from the city. Not much to say beyond the pad see ew is some of the most dry and flavorless noodles I've ever had. Beef is hard to chew and overall portions are relatively small for how expensive it is. I did go one more time and get the red curry which was much better, but that's likely because the bar was already set very low with the pad see ew. Surprised to see the rating so low here. I ordered Doordash from Thai Thani on a recent work trip up to Seattle. Just got some extra spicy vegetarian fried rice. Arrived quickly, food was still very hot. No utensils included but found some in the hotel restaurant. The fried rice with great including a lot of veggies (sometimes ordering vegetarian options at thai restaurants they are very plain) and had a good amount of kick (ordered Thai hot). I feel like this place definitely deserves a higher ranking. The drunken noodles and panang curry were so good (spice level 2) and we got both with tofu which was the perfect firmness and crispiness on the outside. The spicy basil wasn't as saucy as I would've liked it but still good! The portion sizes are also really big and they make your order super fast (it was ready to be picked up in 15 minutes). It's very close to our hotel, so we were able to walk, and it's located in a convenient downtown area. We were so hungry from the airport ride in and checking in the hotel that we needed a quick bite to eat. And I was craving for Thai. The atmosphere seemed busy with people coming in during their lunch hour, and it's usually like that with every downtown spot you go to. Overall, the food flavors were good, not too spicy, but both dishes were a little too salty for me. I got here early for a lunch meeting. Snuck in an order of the Spring Rolls. Finished them all and had a couple more when everyone arrived. Very good! The restaurant interior needs some love but traffic was flowing my entire visit. Lots of pick up orders. I did the Crispy Garlic Chicken. Parts of it were chewy and dry and others were moist and delicious. I asked them to make it as low in spice as possible. If I were to order again, I would raise the spice level. I'm not sure why this spot has 3 stars, I just moved to the area and was really craving Thai food so I went to Thai Thani. The service was really fast and my server was friendly and polite. The ambiance of the restaurant is nice and comfy. I ordered food to go but I could sit there and wait for it. I got the pad Thai and drunken noodles (~$19 each) both were huge portions and very delicious and flavorful. Amazing, friendly service! This place is tucked away in South lake Union, and it doesn't seem to get a ton of foot traffic, which is a shame, because it is a solid choice for Thai food. I came here on a Saturday evening for takeout, and they had me in and out within 10 minutes, and most of those minutes were spent trying to figure out what to order. The staff were friendly, and even brought my food out to where I was waiting rather than calling my name. I got the seafood curry and was really impressed with both the flavor and the amount that I received. I will definitely be back to try their pad Thai and soup dishes. Absolutely Rude -- Never Going Back So I'm a college student, right? I don't have much cash on me -- just enough to cover the bill and a small tip. Not 15%, I admit, but it's literally all I could do in the moment. After I pay, the server gets in my face and says, "What did I do? Was your food bad?" I told him the food was good and even thanked him -- trying to be polite. Then he straight up says, "Why are you not tipping me more? That's barely 15%." Like okay?? I'm not walking around with extra cash -- I needed a few dollars just to get home on the bus. He knew I had a couple bucks left and basically pressured me into giving it to him. Super awkward and uncomfortable. My friend tipped about the same (with a card!) and he didn't say a word to him. Clearly just picked me to target because I paid in cash. It was embarrassing and honestly kind of humiliating. You shouldn't have to defend yourself for tipping what you can afford. TL;DR: Don't pay in cash, and don't go here if you're young or broke. Came here because of the Restaruant Week deal (best deal I've found - $35 for 2 people, soup, 2 entrees and 2 drinks). The Thai Ice tea was really good! Flavorful and not super sweet. The Tom Yum soup was yummy too and definitely big enough for 2 to share. We got the Pad Thai and the Pad Kee Mao - the Kee Mao was really good, a bit of a kick. The Pad Thai was on the sweet side which I did not like so I think I will pass on that next time. Otherwise, I would come back here and try their other dishes like their Pad See Ew. I have been to this pathetic establishment multiple times, not because of good food or service, but merely out of convenience. No more, in spite of the lack of options in this tiny town called Seattle. The food here is average at best (e.g. if you forget to insist on less salt, you will have enough sodium for a month, in one dish). Anyone rating this place highly has almost certainly never been to a proper city with actual options like SF, LA, or NYC. The service is generally OK when there's a girl behind the counter, but occasionally uttlerly appalling, as in my last visit. They give out a small discount to nearby buildings, in theory only for dine-in, but in practice I have received multiple times from the waitresses for take-out. In practice, theres no difference, I still tip for takeout. The last visit, the guy behind the counter, who exhibits the manner of a high school drop out, simply refused to be flexible and insisted it's for dine-in, by utilizing a string of "No's". Soon enough, there will be no customer to dine in at all at this ridiculous venue. read more

My friend and I came here for lunch today for the first time. We were seated immediately. It was pretty quiet at first, but the place filled up quickly with Amazon employees (the restaurant is located under one of their towers). My friend and I both got pad see ew. I got mine with chicken (2 star) and she got hers with tofu (4 star). I asked the waitress what the vegetable pad see ew was (since it costs $2 more than the chicken/tofu pad see ew), and the waitress said it came with broccoli, carrots, celery, cabbage, and some other vegetables that I forget. I'm not sure why it is more expensive than the protein options, but I got the chicken regardless. The portion sizes were very good, especially for a Thai restaurant. I thought my dish was spicier than a 2 (the scale goes from 1-4), but I didn't mind. My only complaint is that some of the ground chilis were large and crunchy like nuts. The chicken was white meat and didn't have any marination or flavor to it. The sauce also wasn't sweet like most other pad see ew I've had. My friend liked it though and said that the noodles were very similar to what you would get as street food in Thailand (she's of Thai descent). The place has a good health rating, but the water cups were a little questionable... However, service was good, contrary to what other Yelpers have said previously. I think you can find better Thai food elsewhere, but maybe I just didn't order one of their signature entrees. With that said though, pad see ew is a Thai standard dish. Overall, if you're just looking for average Thai food with relatively large portions, this is your place. Decided to check this place out for lunch since it was close to work. It's a little hard to find as it was not in the main area of everything else. However, once you walk in, the place is pretty nice. I got the sweet and sour chicken to go and thought it was ok. It's not like the chinese sweet and sour chicken where the sauce is sticky and thick. The sauce is a little thinner and it goes well with the rice. It is definitely on the sweeter side than the sour side, but the chicken was cooked very well. That was my favorite part of the dish. All the veggies (tomatoes, bell peppers, etc) was standard. The portion is a little small for lunch but it is standard. Overall, a standard thai place and decent place for lunch. read more

We came here with a large group and were seated immediately on a Friday. Our waitress was amazing at keeping our water glasses full, giving us recommendations, and and checking in. Food was amazing and very filling. The appetizers came out fresh and hot followed quickly by the food. Crab wantons and spring rolls are a must have to munch on! Their sauces were delicious and fillings flavorful. You can easily split their entrees and have leftovers. Their spice scale is 0-4! I got the Panang Curry at a spice level 1. The food is alright. Nothing really spectacular, and nothing really bad. I will not count on this place for on-time ordering after my experience a couple months ago. I had pre-ordered 10 takeout lunches online for pickup at 11:20 AM. I had called a couple days before placing my order to see if the timing would be a problem at all, and they said there would be no issue. When I showed up at the restaurant at 11:15 and asked if my order was almost ready, they had not started working on the order and did not even know about it. I will admit that my taste buds were pretty non existent this particular day as I was battling the last bit of a horrid flu. I also ordered their Thai iced tea and it was very good! Just what I needed. The service is another story... Very pushy, not friendly, eager to get you in and out. I might add that we arrived at 11:15 right after opening time and there was not a soul inside! So not entirely sure why the hospitality was as pushy, but whatever. The speed of the food preparation was great because we had a short amount of time to eat and we were able to get in and out in roughly 30 minutes. So bad. So so bad. The last time i went here was the a few years ago in college and just got appetizers. let me just say first, It is Mango season. And yet they made the mango sticky rice with FROZEN squishy disgusting mangoes. the rice itself wasn't great either. The yellow curry was extremely sweet & the pad see ew had no flavor. Also their music is the obnoxiously ear wormy pop music up too loud. When i asked why the mangoes were so bad, they told me that it was because they're frozen, but didnt offer to refund the dish. Horrible customer service, horrible food, and horrible atmosphere. When we were ordering the person kept trying to multi task and failing. From taking calls to taking orders to boxing up togo orders without pausing our conversation, they would literally just walk away, they kept forgetting where we were in our process; I legit told them my name and order 3 times. When we finally got our food, about 25 mins, it was cold, which they begrudgingly fixed, but temp doesn't change taste. 2 stars because they made us feel like a burden, which was a feeling seemed to be shared by the 6 other people in the restaurant, out of the box food and, because cleanliness and comfort in the furnishings and general area was forgotten. #Fail read more
