    Spicy tonkatsu ramen $9.99
    Jean T.

The food is reasonably priced for it being on campus. I've only gotten bowl meals and they've been okay. The one that I would definitely recommend is the Spicy Tonkatsu Ramen!! The regular ramen may be a dollar cheaper, but there's no flavor so I found it harder to eat. The pho is pretty good too. The only thing is if you order it closer to 6 (when they close) ESPECIALLY through Tapingo, they might run out of the item that you want. This has happened to me a couple of times. They would run out of the broth for my bowl and combine a mixture of other ones to try and fix it. Also, if you order Tapingo, it takes like 15 min, they don't really ever finish it before then unless you're there and tell them to complete your order.

    Sushi Bar

This review is written with the fact that Fertitta Cafe does not claim to be a legitimate Asian restaurant in mind. They serve Asian foods such as banh mi, dim sum, bao, rice bowls, and sushi rolls. Almost all of the sushi rolls are pre-made by the workers there so you just go up and ask for the sushi box you want. WIth that said, I was fairly satisfied with my Spicy Crab Lover roll aka USC Roll. They have a naming theme with the rolls by calling them USC, Trojan, Cardinal, Fight On, etc, but the label on the sushi box just lists the regular sushi names. They packed a nice heavy layer of imitation crab mix on top of my roll consisting of 8 fairly large pieces of sushi. The ratio of rice to imitation crab mix was 3:1. The imitation crab mix was soft and flavorful from my wasabi/soysauce mix, but was not spicy at all. Let's be honest, I didn't eat here expecting a genuine sushi experience, but rather because I was hangry before my class. This sushi did it's job in getting me full and satisfied. However, the price of 13.99 is ridiculously high. I like the fact that this cafe offers an awesome water dispenser, which you can choose from ambient, chilled, and chilled sparkling.

This location does not have the Salmon bagel! I repeat no salmon bagel. I ordered large Iced latte and 2 empanadas, coffee had more milk than espresso and the empanadas were warm but the filling was cold which was weird to me. After waiting 10 minutes for my order in a also empty coffee shop, my friend and I go outside to eat our food and enjoy our $20 meal w/tip, we get asked to leave because they're closing... website states 7:00am- 5:00pm, it was barely 4:20pm!!!. That is why this location is being rated a 1 star, overall bad experience. Look at my pictures... I placed my order at 4:04pm, they took about 10 minutes or 13 to give me my order, we got asked to leave at 4:20pm and when I asked the cashier if he could validate my parking he said " we don't validate here, but you can ask the guy with the vest!." So I did and he told me the same thing "we don't validate" after being asked to leave we paid a $20 fee at 4:37pm. No hate, do better Check out their south LA location on Manchester and Vermont, great customer service and they validate parking.

So I looked for a coffee spot closer to the restaurant at which I could do some work. Alibi Coffee is only 10-15 minutes from the restaurant, which made it a good candidate--and off I went. It sits on the corner of Washington and Raymond Avenue. While there's one-hour parking on Washington, Raymond seems to offer unlimited parking (other than street cleaning days)--the friendly, helpful barista directed me over there. Inside, it's a tranquil, clean and comfortable environment that mixes contemporary touches with brick industrial vibes. I'm in my cream top era, so I decided to get their Trademark Cream Top Latte, which uses cold brew and house made cream with a hint of brown sugar. The drink was smooth and not too sweet and, all in all, extremely enjoyable. Next time, I might try the Salted Caramel Cream Top Latte. I was warned it was a bit sweeter, but I'd like to see for myself. Wi-Fi seems solid, and there are plenty of outlets (yay!), so this was a great work spot. I'd definitely return anytime I needed to be in this area.

I ended up adding it all. Salted Caramel Latte: I tried this drink the second time around, and I love it. It will be my go-to drink from now on at Alibi Coffee. It's sweet and creamy.
