Very good! Fresh made food from scratch takes time so don't expect fast food but it's worth the wait!

The app for three came with pita bread, falafel, hummus with babaganous, tzatiziki, and dolma. The falafel had a wonderful herby flavor, but was really soft and nearly mushy. The hummus was okay, a nice texture but was just okay. The tzatiziki was herby, a member mentioned it was too sour for her, but another enjoyed it quite a bit. The pita was soft, but just didn't have much flavor and tasted a bit old. I had the gyro sandwich with fries. The food was not hot and the meat lacked charring. The cuts were uneven and the fries were just fries. A member of my party ordered the chicken sharma. The rice was delious! Fluffy and had a wonderful flavor with turmeric and some other spices. Her meat was also cooked nicely, but honestly just lacked flavor. The salads of both the shish kabobs and the chicken Sharma were fresh but had really uneven cuts. The shish kabob meat was beautifully charred however the meat was cool. Also the rice lacked flavor and was only saved by the cliantro lemon vingrette. The drinks were nice. We got cucumber, lemongrass, and hibsus. They were all mild in flavor which paired well with the food. Honestly everything was lacking depth and care.

I actually picked up gift cards for the Eat Good Group at Costco because I wanted to bless a friend with a night out at Baba and honestly, it was such a good choice. I love this restaurant group in general. They also own places like The Eatery and Honey Eatery and Social Club (and a few others I'm probably forgetting), and what I appreciate is that each spot feels totally different while still having that same quality and care behind it. Baba has more of a Mediterranean-inspired vibe, and the food really reflects that. I'll be honest I don't even remember exactly what I ordered (it was one of those super busy weeks), but I do remember how good everything tasted... and I've got pictures to prove it. The atmosphere was great, service was kind, and overall it just had a really unique feel compared to other places. It's definitely its own vibe, in a good way. Even though I'm late on this review, it stuck with me enough to come back and write one which says a lot. I really loved the food and the flavors, and I'd absolutely recommend checking out Baba.

Portions were huge and easily fed all 3 of us. I loved being able to try all the dips and pickles. Got the coconut sorbet for dessert and it was the perfect end to a meal. Light and refreshing.

It was about a three minute drive from where I was, and I decided to go in and get a Lamb Shawarma. I am a big fan of shawarmas and I have had many different types from many different middle east countries, so I went in with high standards, especially after reading the reviews. The service was friendly and nothing to complain about. Ambiance wise, this is a place where you go up to the counter and order your food and seat yourself and eat. It is not a sit-down restaurant or a place with waiter service. The Shawarma came out close to $20. It came with fries as well. The fries were not anything out of the ordinary but the shawarma itself was not very seasoned. The meat was cooked fine and there were no red flags, but I think the seasoning was very underwhelming. Maybe I didn't order the right thing, but I think a shawarma is pretty standard. I would probably not return, if given the chance.

We have been at this restaurant several times before and it never disappoints. We ordered the Mixed Grill again and it was amazing. My wife and I had a rare night out for dinner last night and we were in Post Falls. The White House Grill is famous for their garlicky foods (not all) and we like that. We could smell garlic at the entrance. My wife ordered a version of a gyro and Greek salad, which she described as "OK." It was a pita with curried chicken, unlike what she preferred as a gyro (chicken, no curry), but she tried it. I ordered the souvlaki (lamb kabobs), served over a large bed of rice and with "garlicky" green beans. The lamb, by the way was very tough to cut and to chew, more like mutton but not with any fat. Rethinking, I shouldn't have tried lamb at all, simply on ethics (mine). It looked enticing but I couldn't taste any of it. That is because I couldn't smell any of it, even when holding the plate right under my nose. No smell, no taste. That was because our 18-ish server was reeking of perfume, like she bathed in it. I believe there was another servicer of about the same age walking around with the same odor. It reminded me of a church service and elderly ladies. The most difficult part here is that our server was great! She was clear-spoken, sharp, and friendly. I just couldn't breathe when she came to our table (3-4 times). Maybe she doesn't like to smell garlic or want to smell like it, herself, but I can't return. I have two adult children who are both professional servers, so I hope these young women will understand and make adjustments for the customers. She truly is great at her job, otherwise.

It was more to do with the healthy quotient and the taste and the value for money. Wouldn't say that the options for vegetarians was also a prime factor because back in India it is like vice versa .. the meat options have to be found and not the veggie ones .. he he :) So, our first visit here in Spokane was by pure chance .. walking in the mall hunger struck but we thought of giving the food court a miss without even looking at the options .. And then a friend thought if there were any rest rooms down that corner .. we surely didn't find any rest rooms but we did find a Pita Pit :) But then all of a sudden all those memories came flooding by .. countless lunches .. and the hopes went up like a rocket .. Got a pita sandwich each in a whole wheat pita .. one was falafel and the other with buffalo chicken .. and yeah thank God that they lived upto the expectations .. Surprisingly the falafel pita was absolutely gorgeous .. I am not sure if we looked it through but missed the topping of nuts that we have in india .. a sprinkle of pinenuts is just awesome .. otherwise no concerns.. none. All in all, so glad that we took a surprise pitstop at pita pit the other day otherwise we would just be making speculations on how good would be that pita sandwich. Go for it :)
