For being locally owned, this shop stays stacked with new inventory daily and weekly. The owner and workers are knowledgeable, helpful, and never pushy with sales. They carry a huge variety of firearms, and if something isn't in stock, they'll definitely help source it at a competitive price. RAG Firearms is the opposite of that, they have always provided great customer service, they offer very competitive pricing on their services, and most importantly, they are very reliable and trustworthy. I have now transferred one rifle through them, but they have also helped me to ship out several firearms for customization, and they have always done it very quickly. They also have been very helpful for getting gun parts and accessories since the new law changes in California. I could not recommend these guys more, and they also have some really unique firearms for sale there too!

I went with zero gun purchasing knowledge seeking a glock for extreme reliability; Purchased a SIG (300rnds no failures) Returned for a Bersa for concealed carry; Purchased a Shield Plus. (Better power/Just as concealable.) Loved the Shields concealibility so much i got it in .40cal for $299 during their fall sale. And lastly, i returned for a 1911; and thanks to stephen and the cool girl who also runs her own outdoors business (which is super impressive); i got my second SIG in .45acp. I am extremely happy with every one of my purchases and always leave in a good mood. (Which is a sign of good service) As a seasoned salesman and manager i know you sometimes have to save the client from their blowing their money on both cheap OR overpriced junk, and direct the towards proper QUALITY for their budget. He claimed their policy showed this but when he read it the policy clearly didn't state it had to be neatly boxed. I'm not new to firearms but new to ownership. Perry is knowledgeable, personable enough, and straight forward. If you're expecting to be treated like you're buying a wedding dress then perhaps gun shops generally aren't for you. Know basic firearms laws around purchasing, pick up, and transport, know what you want to buy, and then go buy it. There's a large selection of firearms and ammo on hand. If the shop doesn't have what you're looking for he'll order it for you at minimal charge. I received calls when my orders were in, paperwork was quick and straight forward, and pick up was easy.

This was my first handgun purchase. He just kept raising his voice telling me to do it again and again until he felt I got it right. Since, I've visited and made purchases at 3 other shops around the Bay Area where they were much more friendly and patient. I'm happy to travel a bit for better friendlier service so I now go to a shop in Vallejo where they're much more respectful.
