Everything on their menu looked delicious and I couldn't decide between a burger or a sandwich. The nice waiter recommended their chicken salad and since I was already looking at that sandwich it made my choice easier. My bf got their Cuban sandwich and since neither entrees came with fries we decided to share an order of their thick cut fries. They also have a variety of beers on tap and canned beverages. I went with one of their local draft dark beers and it was very good. When the food came out it looked very appetizing. Their house coleslaw was extra delicious and super crunchy. The chicken salad tasted great and it was very well seasoned and I really loved the big chunks of chicken! The Cuban sandwich was also very good from the one bite I stole from my boyfriend. And the fries were soooo good! I was a perfect lunch date!

It was a Tuesday night and pouring rain. We arrived without a reservation. It was very busy. The bar and restaurant were full. There were two side bar seats available which we happily took while we waited for a table. We had a delicious cosmo and a glass of prosecco while we waited. The server let us know our table was ready, and we did not need to settle our bar tab before going to the table. I love that! I find it inconvenient when restaurants ask people to do that. The server even took our sopping umbrellas and put them in the umbrella stand by the door for us. So nice! We tried 2 appetizers, the Caribbean Curry Mussels and the Seared Ahi Tuna. I can't decide which one I loved more. Both were fantastic. The broth the mussels were in was so flavorful, rich, salty, not spicy, coconut deliciousness. I wanted to eat it all like a soup. There was no bread served with the mussels to soak up the broth...which I would have loved, but not having it did save me some carbs. The seared tuna was absolute perfection. Very slightly seared and served with a well dressed seaweed salad and two sauces (coulis style ) a charred jalapeño aioli and a mango coulis. For dinner we shared the arugula salad with strawberries and goat cheese (although there was very little goat cheese) in a delicious poppy seed vinaigrette, and the miso Marinaded seared salmon with sticky rice and mango salsa. The salmon was fantastic...perfectly cooked, very flavorful, the sticky rice was so delicious and chewy, and the mango salsa added sweetness. I love that they split the salad into two dishes for us. I love when restaurants do this. It's a nice touch to acknowledge the server was listening the we intend to share, and to make it easier for us to do so. And we shared a bottle of Pinot Grigio. I will be back!

WELL! Where do I Start? :) This place is garbage - with the exception of a decent Acai Bowl here and there, I've never encountered such piss poor service in my life. Doesn't customer service kind of go hand and hand in a food industry? or almost every industry.. Well I must be missing something - because this place doesn't have any of it, you would think this place is run by a punch of punk ass little teenagers who are just sexually frustrated and take their woes out on everyone else around them. They call people pathetic - they fuck up almost every order I've seen and then say it's not their fault. Look people get busy - it's a busy industry I've been in it I can confirm that, but to mess up one - two things on EVERY big order? EVERY time? Get it together.. Lets start on Miranda as well - the manager - well she's about as helpful as stepping in dog shit. If that sums it up any? Do not go to this place unless you're looking to be treated like less than an equal or be called incompetent or something uncalled for along those lines. They will never transfer you to an owner either - they always say "He's not here and he wont care what you have to say" - Oh? I'm sorry - usually I talk to my customers that way as well and treat them like their absolute trash. I must have missed that memo. Go you Fresh press! read more

You will not be greeted when walking in, you will stand and wait until these entitled snobs feel like taking your order or helping you. The women working at this establishment take zero responsibility for their mistakes with orders then are rude, entitled and insulting (saying that I was not being honest about an online order that I prepaid with specific instructions about a pick-up also saying that I must " have a pathetic life to be complaining about wanting my order right"). I am a paying customer, wanting my order right for what paid for is not pathetic, but this kind of behavior is! They blame the customer for their inability to keep up with the demand. The Owner Aaron Smith needs to fix this customer service issue, word of mouth in the Portsmouth restaurant business will kill his business's reputation. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR BUSINESS!!! read more

This is by far the worst service that I have ever had. The manager Miranda is the worst person that I have ever had to deal with. The company that I work for orders from this place every week and we give The Fresh Press so much business but the customer service is absolutely horrendous. Almost every time that we order from here they get something wrong with our order. They either forget to include something that we have ordered AND already paid for or forget to add something to the bowls. The manager Miranda told my co-worker that it was our fault that one of the bowls was missing and we should have smarter people be picking our orders up. It is not acceptable to be working in a customer service position and to talk to customers this way. read more

A new company will always have their struggles at first, whether it's the food, staff, or just the lack of experience. From what I can tell, the staff is trying hard to get this company off the ground and I think it's wonderful that they are strictly organic when they can get it. Their produce is so healthy and a lot if people don't understand how much goes into one juice. So next time you think the juice is too pricey or the smoothie is too watery, think about what's going into it; these aren't smoothies made out of processed ingredients. Stay clear - unless of course you like to be treated disrespectfully? Unfortunately the horrific customer service at this spot makes the product unappealing. They have not only lost my personal business but they have lost my companies business as well. There are many other choices downtown that have amazing product where the employees follow the old school rule "the customers always right" and I'm sure they will enjoy the increased revenue.
