Arrived at 10:58 right before it opened. They were kind to let us in and sit as they were still setting up for the day. We got the original wood fore tomato pie and the manza (olives on the side). With that we got a side of tomato sauce to dip our crust into. Original: delishhhh! The dough was cooked perfectly and the cheese was fresh. The dipping tomato sauce was a great addition. I could have eaten the whole pie and the stomach ache would have e been worth it Manza (olives in the side): also good has thin pieces of eggplant on it. I liked the original better but I was happy to be eating this one as well. The inside isn't large nor great for strollers if there are other people there. Luckily, at 11am it was pretty empty so we were able to maneuver around. I will DEFINITELY be coming back here to try their other pizza flavors. My son chose the large original wood fired tomato pie, topped with pepperoni. Yes, today was a snowy cold day, so I didn't expect my food to be hot or anything. They were not far from me, but when the pizza arrived, it was ice cold. I was a bit surprised, but once again, nothing an air fryer can't fix. We were also surprised at how big the pepperoni was. We loved that! The pepperoni was delicious. The overall pizza was flavorful. The tomato sauce was more on the sweet side, which i prefer. I wasn't a huge fan of the crust. Even after the air fryer, it was still soft and soggy. The crust didn't have much flavor either. I'm not a pizza expert (I'm from California), but with trying different pizzas lately, I can now see the difference in certain pies. Stopped at Fiamma when we happened to be passing Millburn and were hungry. It's located right in the little downtown which is so cute! It was an off-time to eat probably 2pm on a Sunday, but there were other tables of people nonetheless. The pizza was SO good. The margherita was the thing of dreams. Their business hours on yelp and google are out dated (closing at 10 & 9 pm) and so we were somewhat surprised to learn they closed kitchen by 8:30 on weekdays. The pizza here is very good (not great, but consistently very good--love the Margarita) but the place is a mixed bag overall. The service is erratic....sometimes excellent, at other times indifferent, and the pasta dishes tend to be over cooked with fair to middling, and poorly seasoned, sauces. Salads are hit or miss, ranging, randomly, from very good to fair. Don't love the ambience or the vibe here to be honest. Rickety chairs in a crowded room are not very inviting. We enjoyed their Sorrentina pizza (seemed to be the most meaty option they have) which came with a nice hot marinara sauce for unlimited crust-dipping and their service was prompt and friendly. We're glad to have come at the cusp of lunch rush because soon after us came consistent stream of patrons filling the place to capacity. Overall, the soppressata is pretty much the only thing you can taste. its a very strong salty/sour profile so be weary of this. If this is what you like, then you're gonna love this one. So I have passed this place many times and wanted to try them out. They open late for the dinner crowd. I stopped by on a Tuesday around 7 (they open at 4) and there weren't anyone inside or outside eating, so I left. I came back on Wednesday around 6:45pm and there were people inside and out eating. I placed my takeout order and they said 10 minutes. I came back at 7:15 to pick up my order. They had many take orders waiting to go. I picked up my order and went to eat it. I did not get a pizza but instead got an entree dish that was absolutely delicious. I ordered the Gamberoni Aglio e Olio Shrimp, cherry tomatoes, arugula sauteed in a garlic & extra virgin olive oil sauce over linguine. There were 8 shrimp in the dish and cooked to perfection. The linguine was also cooked to perfection. I only wish there were more cherry tomatoes and arugula. I ate every bite and will definitely be back for either another entree or try their coal fired pizzas. I highly recommend this place. read more

Review for Catering ONLY First I'd like to say that Fiamma has been incredible in regards to our catering order and I cannot recommend them enough. I called one week before NYE 2022 (Saturday the 31st) to place a large catering order for 1 full tray of vodka penne, 1 full tray of chicken parm, and 4 large pizzas for a party I was hosting. About 2 or 3 days before NYE, I contracted COVID. Naturally, we had to cancel our party. We were gutted, and obviously worried about all of this food that would not get eaten. I called the restaurant to speak with the manager, and he was COMPLETELY understanding and allowed us to cancel our order in exchange for a gift certificate. We ended up telling him to cancel the pizzas and give us a half tray of both the pasta and chicken parm because we felt so bad with the short notice. The difference in cost came back in the form of the gift certificate. We ended up eating the pasta and chicken parm over the course of the week as "meal prep" but the vodka sauce was truly the most amazing thing I've ever had. We plan on using the gift certificate around VDay, and I cannot WAIT to order more of that sauce!!! read more

This place is GREAT! I was completely over ordering food to go and wanted to sit down and have a nice meal at a restaurant. I was thrilled to learn that this place offered a wonderful set up outside of tables, chairs and umbrellas under a massive tent. The staff all wore masks and gloves and were constantly wiping down the tables and chairs with disinfectant. The food was very, very good & the service was even better! I highly recommend the bbq chicken pizza and the grilled chicken salad because they were both outstanding! FYI- their personal pies are enough for two people! I go to Fiamma a couple times a month as I live close. Every time we get complimentary bread, and when the food comes you typically get Parmesan cheese. When we came In tonight, a young lady was horrifically rude. She seems to have been a bus girl. The waiter was busy and when our food came, we asked for an extra plate as we were splitting the entree. About 5 minutes late (food getting cold) there is no plate and she's over cleaning tables so we politely went up and reminded her (people forget no big deal) She brings the plate and we ask for bread and cheese for our food since we know we get bread and never received it. She then rolls her eyes to the back of her head and goes back to cleaning tables... Here's the thing. If it's someone else's job to grab the bread or get the cheese, let us know and we can ask the waiter.. but we asked for basic things that you get at any Italian restaurant, especially one we go to frequently. It's actually really sad that a place can have great food, great location, but doesn't know how to hire/train a quality employee. Fiamma has great food. I will continue to order here for take out, but I will never ever go back and sit down for dinner because of how rude the bus girl was. I do enjoy a Naples-style pizza, cooked in a wood burning oven at high temperatures. Fiamma did a reasonable job. The restaurant is not at all fancy. Bare you might say. Seating is adequate only. I ordered a personal pie with meatball and pepperoni. The wait staff seemed a bit impatient. They came to the table 3 times to take our order. The pie was nicely cooked, though the center was a bit soggy and you couldn't pick up a slice without the end flopping down. Nevertheless it tasted great. I love New Jersey! Great pizza's only a call or a few app taps away especially from Fiamma where it's wood-fired! The Spinaci, my go-to in personal-size (12 inches), comes with mozzarella, spinach, onions, goat cheese, and olives on a crispy/chewy crust with texture-enhancing breadcrumbs and a sexy char on the outside. Though some of those toppings might sound salty, it's a tasty, well-balanced pie. Their Vodka Pie also kicked ass with mozz, tomato cream vodka sauce, mushrooms, peas, and prosciutto. A couple of other pies I've tried here were okay to good. Their Calamari Fiamma arrives lightly battered with a delicious balsamic reduction, scallions, and cherry tomatoes. When I took this to go, it got a little steamed and soggy covered in transit but it was still yummy and I recommend it. Then oh, their meatballs! These huge-ass meatballs called "Polpette" come with a gooey mozzarella surprise in the center and a ton of sauce. They're the best I've ever had, and they give you three! They're so good that they'd still be perfect even without that cheesy middle. For take-out/delivery, staff saran wraps the hell out of saucy dishes including their scrumptious pasta. It takes a little bit to unwrap and I wonder about the environment but it definitely prevents leakage. Their 900-degree wood-fired oven's viewable from the dining area that can seat up to around 20 people max.
