Cute cafe tucked away in North Beach. SF can be a hard place to find a coffee shop to work from home, but this place had plenty of seating and wifi available - I think this is because it's further away from offices. I got the fiddle special sandwich, which was okay. It was really hearty with all the root vegetables - got full with half a sandwich, but not sure if I'd pay $20 alone for it again Have not tried the coffee, but there seemed to be a lot of locals who frequent here and have their favorites! They also have a menu if seasonal drinks - they sounded interesting, but not bold enough to try them. read more

Fiddle Fig Cafe --- what a cute name for a cafe and is nestled between two apartment complexes. The interior is bright, clean and bigger than I had expected with tables to enjoy coffee and small breakfast plates. The cafe also offer plants and local artists painting for sale. I saw one of a mahjong tile -- a trending Chinese game!!! The menu is decent and love their seasonal menu -- Ube, Pandan, Cherry and my personal favorite banana. I'm alway west of Ube because when not done right is just vanilla with purple color. I also go a plain latte just to taste their coffee roast. The barista is nice and service was quick. The coffee tastes solid and certainly a place to come back again to enjoy the local vibes. read more

Went here for a quick breakfast because their seasonal latte flavors sounded good. I also ordered a bagel with cream cheese and a Kouign amann. We ordered at the kiosk by the register because I like to see everything they have while making my decision, but I guess we should have ordered with the person at the register because they ended up being sold out of the strawberry kouign amann I ordered and everything bagels. They subbed my bagel for a plain one and subbed the kouign amann for a hazelnut one. The iced cherry latte was really refreshing and sweet. The hot pandan latte was also really good!! read more

Cute cafe, great place to work as there is plenty of seating. I was confused how to order at first. I stood for a while at the counter without any assistance before I figured out there was a screen to order. Good menu is a little limited, but have a few breakfast sandwiches, toasts and lunch sandwiches. I got an iced coffee which was a little underwhelming. Lots of milk when I asked for a dash. The breakfast sandwiches were good, but the biscuit it came on was a little dry. I wouldn't seek this place out for breakfast next time. I went on a walk around the neighborhood and stumbled on this cute cafe shop. I love the vibrant fig trees near the door making it so welcome. I ordered the yuzu latte with oat milk and it tastes 8/10! Love that yuzu is not over powering :) Service was fast and efficient! read more

Such a sweet cafe nicely located. We loved the tables outside with potted fiddle plants and more surrounding the patio tables. I enjoyed the best salmon toast cafe I've had before. Salmon was fresh and the toast hearty. My friend had the sardine toast and found it quite tasty. My matcha was made authentically and had a nice creaminess to it. Prices were reasonable. This is a great place to study or hang out. A bunch of chairs/sofas to lounge on. I can see why it got the name Fiddle--lots of fiddle trees. It's cute how they sell plants as well as food and drinks. The plants look sad however. I haven't tasted the full menu so I can't say, but the service was average baristas. Parking was a b!tch, but I don't mind the walk. It's located at the corner so it's not hard to miss. read more

I found this place last minute on my last day in SF. It was a quick walk from my hotel and had plenty of seating once I got there. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. I liked all the plants decorated in the cafe. I ordered the mocha which had Ghirardelli chocolate in it. It was very delicious! My husband ordered a breakfast burrito and flat white. A cute little cafe. Honestly I don't even remember which street it's at. My friends and I were tired from walking around the area and were sooo relieved to find this place. Luckily their coffee was great. We ordered regular coffee and latte. I also got a kouign aman from their pastry shelf. They're less than an hour from closing and the place is still full. Several people were on their laptops which made me think this is a great place to do some work. The service was good too. Place is clean and has good amount of seats. Too bad they're in the east bay. Drinks ordered: hot Lavender latte (6/10): nothing special but nothing bad either. I tasted the lavender syrup, but it wasn't overwhelming or strong. hot Matcha Latte (2/10 not pictured): extremely watered down. If you like matcha, don't get it here. Food Ordered: Avocado Toast (7/10): a very solid and basic avocado toast with no frills. It was definitely something I could make at home and tasted like something I would make at home. Nothing to rave about, but not bad either. Overnight Oats w/ honey & blueberries (6/10 not pictured): a bit more watery than I like but tasted good. Another item that tasted like I could easily make it at home. Decent portion size. I have been to fiddle fig a million times as I live close by, to study and enjoy the lively environment. But today, the service was absolutely abysmal. I get the same thing I always do, an iced coffee and for food their breakfast burrito. I didn't catch her name, but the blonde girl with tons of piercings working behind the counter needs to be trained. I got two items, my order took 39 minutes. She kept pausing making drinks to take additional orders. I asked if my order had been made yet since numbers 20-30 above mine were being served.... And she replied I was next. I did this twice, and her reply was the same twice. Finally after 35 minutes I said this is ridiculous, she rolled her eyes, then had to reprint the order because they couldn't find my number. The food guy was pumping out orders and got mine done in 4-5 minutes. The girl gave me a cold brew (wrong) and poured the half and half on the bottom of the cup, then the coffee on top, didn't mix it. No apology, no offer to make it right. I will not be back, shame. read more

Cutest little breakfast spot. It had a great vibe and the food/drinks we got were delicious. A bit pricey, but that's very typical for the area. We got the overnight oats, açaí bowl, smoothie, tea/coffee and ate every last bite. We went early-ish on a random Tuesday morning, and there was still seating available, but by the time we were leaving, it was pretty crowded. I'd recommend getting there early. Only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5, is that the staff wasn't super friendly. They weren't rude & I'm sure they were just busy getting orders ready, but you order from a kiosk and like I said, it wasn't very busy yet, so they could have at least greeted us to let us know we could seat ourselves. Super cute corner coffee shop before you head to Lombard Street. It's full of fiddle fig plants and others inside. It's cute and cozy and seems like a good place for meetings, work, or just sip and sit. I got the pumpkin chai latte iced and it did not disappoint. To eat I got the croissant sandwich and it was delicious. Little on the small side but no fault to the shop. The staff was friendly and welcoming and the food and drinks came out pretty fast. Fiddle Fig Cafe was the perfect spot for a morning breakfast before our adventures in SF! We were checking out of our hotel after a work conference in SF and after a quick search on Yelp, one of my friends found this spot! So happy they did because it was such a great find for some caffeine and brekkie. A cute lil cafe with a good amount of seating and the line moves pretty fast, even if there is quite the crowd. Ordered an iced dirty chai & a chorizo breakfast burrito, both of which were yum. Were they $26 worth of yum? I'd say the burrito was well worth the $15, but the $9ish dirty chai was a bit steep for me. But tbh... I'd be shocked to find a dirty chai that isn't overpriced in the city... Food did take a bit longer but it was pretty packed on this fine Saturday. They also have free WiFi and they let my dog sit inside so that was nice while I worked. Great spot with great food and good coffee! I got an iced oat milk latte and the espresso was strong (in a good way!) Paired it with an avocado toast with an egg. I was surprised to find the egg was scrambled (most places do poached or fried), but it was a well-cooked, fluffy egg. The toast itself was a slice of ciabatta bread and was perfect for the dish: it held up to the weight and moisture content of the avocado spread, while still being soft enough to bite into easily. It was busy, but the staff were friendly and efficient and our food and drinks came out relatively quickly. Lots of plants (including fiddle leaf figs) give the spot a cozy vibe. There are lots of tables and chairs and the noise level is a good mix--loud enough that you feel comfortable talking without disturbing people, but not so loud that you can't hear anything. They also sell a bunch of locally-made jewelry, stickers, and other gifts, which I enjoyed. Unless you get something to go, they also automatically serve everything with reusable dish ware which I appreciate for the sustainability (and the aesthetic.) I would definitely recommend this spot for a coffee date, or a spot to read or work solo. read more
