I still love this spot in DCA! This time around we discovered the fruit parfait (and of course we HAD to get the classic cinnamon bun- it would be a crime not to). Anyway, the fruit parfait is like no other... so much fruit, granola and yogurty goodness. One of the few "quick" service places that I like at Disney's California Adventure. Like their newly opened counterpart on Disneyland's Main Street, they don't offer everything that your local Starbucks. I'm mainly complaining because I wanted oatmeal for breakfast, but they do have the hot breakfast sandwiches that my family is always game for. Combined with our Disney Vacation Club discount, I think Starbucks aka Fiddler Fifer & Practical is the "best" deal in California Adventure. The drinks and food we had were up to Starbucks standard and didn't seem to gouge you. That said, we did not eat any of the almost $10 salads. Hats off to the HUGE Mickey as a chocolate bat Halloween cookies that were under $4, but boo to seeing the size go smaller during our week. There was no line for us here at the 1pm on Friday. We weren't sure what food they offered because their wall menu is incomplete and their plastic menus were missing, but they have a few breakfast sandwiches, pastries, and select lunch items like a salad (with or without turkey) and two sandwich options. I had the roast beef on pretzel roll and regret it. The bread was very thick and dense and ice cold. The meat was very bad tasting. The horseradish was very bland. Their salad was not very fresh and also pretty bland. The breakfast sausage, egg, and cheese muffin was pretty typical. The saving grace of the breakfast menu is everything is about $5 (served all day), which is cheap by Disney standards. However, the lunch items are all in the $8-$10 range. I never have high hopes for the price or quality of the food found in theme/amusement parks. it's normally greasy, overpriced, and has that pre-made, sitting under a heat lamp all day taste. This place blows all other theme park food out of the water. My husband and I liked it so much for lunch, that we actually returned the same day to enjoy it again for dinner! I had the Salami with olive tapenade sandwich and my husband had the Turkey Rueben (both came with chips and a pickle) and loved every bite. Pros: ~ Excellent quality, fresh, made-to-order sandwiches. ~ Better pricing for the amount of food than anywhere we found in Disney ~ Good selection. ~ Relaxed atmosphere, plenty of seating. ~ Now has a STARBUCKS which made my day, and it's priced the same as any Starbucks found outside Disney. Almost $10 gets you a mostly-decent sandwich and generous side of potato chips. If you thought Starbucks lines in the morning at a regular store was bad, wait till you go here! It took me about 45min to get through the line and get my drink. The ONLY reason why I wanted to get something was because I was a dead zombie (all night driving to get to SoCal) and needed caffeine badly. Often when I got coffee at other Disneyland locations, it didn't taste good so I was going to something I know. Then I find out they have special cups! SUPER CUTE! Okay, when it comes to amusement park food I expect the usual overpriced mediocre tasting food that leaves you still hungry, but for something else.. But that was not the case here! I had the salami sandwich and I'll be honest, when I saw it I was typically disappointed bc it didn't look amazing and the cut of the bread looked like half a sandwich. But then I took a big bite into the layers on layers of meat and cheese and thought heavennnn!!! The olive spread was so good and flavorful complimenting the salami. Normally with sandwiches I'm not fully satisfied without the whole lettuce, onions, peppers sha-bang but it was so good I didn't even realize it didn't have all that, and it didn't need it either. The lines here are insane all the time. Of course they are, its a Starbucks in a Disney Park. Its consumer Mecca! This is the most expensive Starbucks you will go to outside of maybe an Airport (not real Starbucks, but I digress), or San Francisco. I love the Silver Lake references in the artwork displayed inside (Silver Lake is one of my favorite LA neighborhoods)...treat yourself to a Mickey cookie with your beverage of choice. Quality is exactly what you would expect from Disneyland and Starbucks. It is located just inside the entrance at California Adventure, before you turn the corner to head to Soarin Over California. The cups are cute and unique to Disney, but the drinks and food offerings are what you would find at Starbucks. Even seasonal drinks. There are also extra basics as well like Mickey cookies etc. During peak times this gets crowded, but they hustle through and they've got the line divided up and guides so that its not confusing. They have a generous amount of seating here if you just need some time to sit and take a break inside. This Starbucks can accomadate a lot more people than the one inside of Disneyland. Plain and simple Starbucks. I don't feel like the quality is lacking like it sometimes does when you visit a Starbucks inside of a grocery store for example. If you want coffee come here, just don't be upset when other Starbucks lovers flock to the place as well. read more

Plenty of seating and nice place to meet up or wait for someone and keep cool. I'm not a fan of the food, I usually just get Starbucks or pastries. Use your AP discount. It works here. Why pay more when you can pay less? There are fruits, sandwiches, salads you can pick up in the refrigerated section. You have to order the hot food items and pastries at the counter. They have 2 lines, I hate the left one so go with the right lane, nicer ppl and nicer service. The cinnamon roll is really good. Especially with a cup of joe. This is not the only place that serves it though, so you can get it at other bakeries. It's not Starbucks cinnamon roll, it's Disneyland's specialty. The counter people are a bit annoying when you ask for ice water. They have this rule that they can't just give you a cup of ice. It's gotta be ice water, meaning 10% ice and 90% water. Especially the left hand side, so just do what my hubby always does, he goes to the other side to ask for his cup of ice. Seriously, it's 100 degrees outside and you can't spare some ice? read more

I couldn't decide whether to be disappointed that the magic was lessened by a Starbucks in a Disney park or overjoyed that I could get a Passion Iced Tea Lemonade with three pumps classic and light ice. We were searching for somewhere to eat lunch and decided to try out the new cafe. All of the food looked really good, and I couldn't resist the temptation to order a delicious and refreshing Starbucks beverage so we stayed. I got the cold salami royale sandwich. It was fabulous! The olive tapanade was really good. I thought I'd need mustard to make the bread less dry but it was unnecessary. There was a good amount of meat and cheese, and the price was typical for Disney parks. My boyfriend had the roast beef sandwich. Oh goodness. It was so delicious that I insisted we share. The only downside was the chips. I'm not sure if it's just an aversion to kettle cooked chips in general or if these were bad, but they had an almost chemical taste to them, a strange wooden, cardboard aftertaste going on. But the pickle slice was good! And of course, it's a full-service Starbucks, so I was able to get that tea that sounded so good. We'd definitely eat here again. read more

Monica is the absolute worst cashier at Starbucks. She was incredible rude and condescending. My fiancé and I were waiting in line for quite a long time we stepped up the register next to her where that particular cashier up and left and we had yet to be yelled we stood there for close to 5 minutes when she called the next guest in line (which technically was us) as we went up to her the lady in line behind us also went to approach Monica at which time Monica looked at my fiancé and said "are you with her?" I said no, we aren't but we've been waiting in line this entire time and have yet to be helped and she responded by saying "well that's why you wait to be called and you would have been helped but whatever, what can I make for you?" This place is really good. There were so many desserts and little treats there. One of the little treats were cake pops O__O amazing lol. There's even a little ice cream shop on the side. There's even a little Starbucks menu for the coffee lovers. There's just so many desserts xD The food is great! I got a sandwhich that I don't even remember the name of... When i was eating I got so distracted looking around at all the little decorations, well pictures on the wall of The Silver Lake Sisters. I've never heard of them, but I was really interested looking at everything. By the way the restaurant is named after them. Fiddler Fifer and Practical. I saw on one of the pictures their nanes are Dolly, Dottie, and Ethel. By the time I was done looking around I was done with my sandwhich. I went to the Fiddler Fifer & Practical Cafe for a grab and go breakfast as we waited for park opening this past Sunday. It was my first experience at this new addition to DCA. I loved the set up and the fact that it had plenty of seating. In fact, Buena Vista Street as a whole is a much better design than the old DCA entrance. I love my Starbucks, but was completely disappointed to discover that this is essentially a Starbucks in the park. I can get that anywhere, in fact, several within walking distance of my home. When I go to Disney parks, I want something unique and special. There is nothing wrong with this place and I am sure that I will love it, once I branch out beyond breakfast sandwiches and lattes...but as far as my Sunday experience, I was let down. Again, nothing wrong with the quality of the food or service (it's Disney, service is rarely a problem), just not pleased with the infiltration of Starbucks! read more

A new addition to Disney California Adventure's new Buena Vista Street! I'm so in love with the buildings and history of the street--including this cafe. It has the long anticipated Starbucks, and a new ice cream shop! Along with a candy store with chocolate and tons of sweets. There is a huge space for dining and relaxing, which is going to be really nice for the fall/winter season. My boyfriend and I got Starbucks drinks, but it is what it is. The service is really nice, and they're super efficient when there isn't a long line! There were lots of baristas, ahha. Hopefully it won't be crazy busy. This is basically a "Starbucks" but located within Disney California Park near the main square. Basically the same menu items that Starbucks has. But be prepared for the VERY LONG LINES. They serve breakfast and lunch and snacks. The only downside to this is that one can not see what is in the case until you reach the registers. If you end up on the left side of registers, you will not be able to see the display case of goodies. So it makes it hard to know what they have plus one can't decide until you are up front. Not a good situation when you have a large group with you and you need to try and figure out what you want. The staff are friendly and patient. Very professional and quick to try and get everyone through the process. They seem to be the only option for breakfast on DCA side. Good place to go for a drink and to get out of the heat .. one of the few indoor eateries in the park. read more

Starbucks? Check. Ice cream? Check. Sandwiches? (hot AND cold) Check. LONG line? Check, check, and check. Do not despair ! Though the line to order may be long, the line to pick up your drink and/or sandwiches is much much faster. Wanna hear a funny story? No? Too bad, I'll tell you anyway! There was a guy ordering a Venti coffee in front of me and suddenly I heard a barista yell out "RICHARD??" The guy who was the one ordering the Venti yelled back "Yes??" all excited because he thought his drink was done in a matter of 30 seconds. (Keep in mind that even though the service is fast, and Disneyland is magical, the baristas aren't magicians.) The barista and 2 other workers behind the counter looked at Richard all concerned and asked him, "Did you really want 9 SHOTS of espresso with you coffee???" And the whole group behind the counter laughed and so did the people waiting in line because you know, being a parent at Disney probably sucks, especially around 4pm when you've been there all day with your kids high on cotton candy and soda, but 9 SHOTS? Meanwhile, Richard was keeled over laughing because he had only ordered 2 shots. Whew! The end. read more
