I wish I could try their food and drinks, but recieved no service. Me and my husband decided to stop by and try some wings and beer. Nobody greeted us, no sign to see a host or to wait to be served. So we proceeded to patio area , sat at the empty table, it wasn't super busy, so we figured the waitress will see us and bring us menus, or at least acknowledge us. There were couple tables outside as well, and all of them got served, the waitress made with us no eye contact, said no greeting. We didn't feel welcomed at all. I wasn't extremely hungry so I chose to only get a cup of soup and I know they have good clam chowder (surprisingly Stamford is lacking in the clam chowder options). While the food tasted good and was hot, my $5.99 cup of soup was half empty!!!! (And there was no spillage so it was sent like that) The pulled pork sandwich didn't have enough pork to fill a slider bun. Hi good evening. I just received an Uber order, which was a cheeseburger with fries. On Uber the restaurant lists the "Fiddlers Burger" at 12.95 then if you want 1 slice of cheese on your burger that's going to cost a dollar. I requested a medium burger but was clearly medium well with about 12 steak fries. I don't know what type of operation you guys got going on but fries are very affordable guys, no reason to cheat customers out of a meal. I literally counted 12 steak fries. Do you know how it feels to open your box of food and see such a small amount of food for 13.95$. It's very upsetting. I'm actually still starving, and it's not because I'm a Fat A** it's because you guys are cheap as hail. read more

If I could give less then one star I would. The whole overall experience was a mess, even for a weeknight that wasn't busy. The food was subpar by best, if anything it looked like wet cold prison slop, but it could've been the night. The female bar tender was drunk, all over the place and also drinking with costumers. The bar itself was well decorated. With there being few people there I dont understand why my service took so long. Come to realize my bartender had "stepped out" with a male outback as I smoked my cigar. Our initial delivery was missing an entree. I gave two stars because the guy was nice enough to come deliver it himself since we initially did it through Uber eats. I ordered a salad pizza and it was essentially a thing crust pizza with the tiniest hint of lettuce thrown on top. Very disappointing. Shepherds pie is also very small. read more

Some may classify this as a dive bar, and at first glance a small bar next to ShopRite in Shippan may seem that way...but I cannot say enough about the food at this place. Nothing beats cold delivery right?!? If so this may be your place! Shepard's Pie (large) was cold, congealing, and had an anemic amount of chicken. How does this warrant even two stars? Because after heating up the taste was pretty darn good, except that one of the puff pastries was burned (pre-reheat). I would guess in person this is probably ok pub food but holy cow disappointment on the delivery (glad I tipped $4 on a $12 order to get it cold). I come by 1 or 2 times a week. Mainly because they have great wings and a good burger. The menu is fairly good but has been reduced in the past month. Depending on who is working, service can be great or can be really bad. The owners son works during lunch and is a really nice guy who seems to care about the business. However, there is a nasty old lady who works happy hour and she makes it anything but. She is the sole reason my crew stopped coming there to watch games on the weekends. Half the time she is outside getting high and the other half of the time she is gambling, screaming or complaining about everyone else who works there. It seems like none of the customers or other employees can stand her. Not sure why she is still there, probably worried about an age discrimination suit. The positives would be great food, a lot of TVs and a good spot walking distance to the beach. There are also some nice regulars and a few laughs to be had. Try it out, you might like it. read more

However just went and tried to get a drink as a 28 year old with a NY licence and the bartender refused to serve me stating my ID is fake and the photo wasn't me. Definitely don't go here if you want to get a drink and aren't 55+ like the normal clientelle. We ordered delivery last night during the playoff football game. I had never tried the pizza before or any food other then their wings. And their wings are great.. But like all wings, they don't travel well. So pizza it was, and as the rumor mill turns, it was dead on.. Fiddler's makes a very good pie (which I find sort of weird knowing this place as a dive bar with the occasional good live music). A plain cheese, and a sausage with sweat and cherry peppers. Both large. The cheese pie was good, and the sausage pie was outstanding. So much flavor with perfect heat. As for deliver, it was to my door in 21 minutes. No one can beat that. For complaints... Could of used a few more pieces of sausage for the cost. the cost of the sausage pepper pie was over 20 bucks. Perhaps I am stuck in the 1990s but I still find that pricey. read more

Great place to play pool. They have three coin-operated tables and pool players of many skill levels, including some really accomplished players. This Neighborhood Bar/Irish Pub often has live music on the weekends. It can be anything from Blues to Heavy Metal. (Call in advance to find out.) There are also darts and a video Golf Game. My favorites are wings, burgers, steak sandwich, and pizza. They also have appetizer specials from 5pm to 7pm. There is a convenient outdoor patio. This Stamford Cove Bar has been here for many, many years and the current owner is working very hard to make this a good experience for all his customers. Just had lunch at fiddlers ordered chicken nachos. All it was, chips some chicken pieces etc but it had a couple of slices of American cheese melted on the top. This is a splendid Irish Pub that serves authentic Irish fare (flaky pot pie, fish & chips, pizza). The bar always is jumping, they regularly have live music, and you can sit in the back at a quiet table, if you prefer. They have catered excellent parties for me. read more

Their customer service is terrible. I called because of a long wait on my delivery, over an hour, the unapologetic and careless response of the 2 woman I spoke on the phone pushed me to cancel the order. The first woman picked up the phone and said " Fiddlers Green Hello" I began to speak and was cut off by "I can't hear you it's too loud in here.. speak up" . Very rude. Then proceeded to yell for someone else to take the phone call. ON TOP of her TERRIBLE attitude The next woman wasn't any better, when I explained to her the situation she responded with " I pressed what I needed, there is nothing I can do about it you have to call them ok?" Her response was very surprising to me. Because I am normally understanding of the restaurant not being at fault. I guarantee that if the responses and service I received over the phone was even a tiny bit better, I would not have cancelled. I could've handled the wait but the carelessness and rude behavior was what turned me off. I manage in the restaurant business, third-party delivery services are very tricky, this I understand. However, having knowledge about them and understanding that YOUR name and YOUR reputation is literally in their hand means you have to PAY ATTENTION to ticket times and deliveries. If you have a delivery ready to go 35 minutes ago, and you have no contact with your driver why would you still send it out? Why wasn't I contacted and/or why wasn't the third party contacted? Why is food Being sent out for delivery under expectations? Without your customers you do not have a restaurant. I've never been in this restaurant and because of their terrible customer service through the phone I will never go in. I am taken aback by the carelessness and the audacity those two workers I spoke with have. The owner needs to reconsider who they have representing them. read more

Fiddlers is by far and away the WORST bar in Stamford, and that's saying a lot considering the choices we have( burns, hideaway). I come here at least twice a week (not by choice bc I'm on teams that rotate thru here) and have never been greeted kindly, never been treated as a member of a team who is spending money here or received a free drink to encourage coming back!
