I have not yet signed up. The only direct contact I have had with them was yesterday when an offensive little man driving a car with an out of state license plate blocked my driveway and attempted to follow me into my house asking me to show him my Consolidated bill so he could tell me how much money I could save by "switching" to Fidium. For all practical purposes Consolidated and Fidium are the same company. Consolidated is attempting to ditch it's regulated copper wire service. So much for competition. read more

Worst 2 mos of dealing with an internet provider. Hold times are ridiculous, although when u are lucky enough to get a rep, they are nice. Canceled service and have tried to pay online my final bill several times, yet it said "no payment due. Now , I get a bill from a creditor called "credit solutions " who's just as useless as fidium. What a great match. Tried to log in with the info they gave - no luck! Tried the qr code - no luck! I'm so happy to be back with xfinity cause fidium is a nitemare. FYI, a special router is needed for fidium, which u can rent for $10, but speed is slower, and costs are more with the rental than xfinity with slower speed. read more

This company knocked on our door with their hard-sell tactics three times, making me extremely uncomfortable by not listening when I told them I wasn't interested. My boyfriend was home one of the times and they convinced him to try it for a free month, so they came out and drove all over our front yard trying to install the fiber on the telephone pole for the whole day, which they couldn't. Then they took over a month to come finish the job. Finally they got it going, but when they came to install the equipment they drilled a giant hole in our BRAND NEW hardwood floors to run the cable, and then slapped a whole ton of wood putty over it and all over the cable like that fixed it. Now writing this review because the internet has inexplicably decided it's not working for the last hour. Hate this company, from the first interaction. read more

Oh my god, I don't think there there is a customer service WORSE than Fidium/Consolidated, The reviews with one and two stars are ACCURATE! If there was a zero, I would select that. I canceled the service (for unrelated reasons- the actual service was fine) and had to call 3 times over a month to get a prepaid label to send the box back. When I called, customer service was inconsistent (different message from different people), rude (couldn't wait to get me off the phone and punt the call elsewhere) and confused (couldn't find the account/then found the account and couldn't figure out why). If you don't have an issue, you may be fine. If you want an issue resolved, good luck! STAY AWAY!! read more

As a Fidium 1gb fiber customer for over a year, I'm extremely happy with their customer service. When the line coming down my driveway was damaged during a winter storm, their response with line trucks was amazingly fast. Compared to my dreadful past experiences with Xfinity and the less-than-stellar reputation this company had when it was Consolidated Communications, Fidium has made significant improvements in its customer service. Today, I was pleasantly surprised by the absence of the usual tedious phone tree selections. Instead, I was promptly connected to a live, courteous, and proficient English-speaking customer service representative who efficiently answered my question. It's important to highlight companies that excel in customer service as so many have outsourced customer service overseas, and based on my experience, Fidium has placed a priority on a great customer experience. Do not get this service,!!!! Absolutely horrendous, the customer service is absolutely a joke and my internet was out for 5 days and then 3 with them pushing you off to someone else to no avail...... Fidium offered 2 year lock on 1 gig for $70. a month. One year later starting charging $95. per month, and I do not have the advertisement anymore to prove it! Terrible service, having to replace router and extenders in the first months. The extenders were so hot, I was surprised they didn't catch on fire! I was told I missed a month payment and I had to make 3 payments in 1 month to fix 1 missed payment and finally bring my balance back to zero. I recommended Fidium to my neighbor, and in 1 or 2 months fidium had to replaced, his modem because his phone and internet wouldn't work. Also, every time I have had to call customer service about an issue, they never admit to being wrong, and will try to convince you that you are wrong! I have had issues almost from the beginning. I call for service appointment and rather than giving available times for options, they call the day before they want to come and give you a 12 hr window for when they MIGHT show up. I cancelled 1 appt recently with plenty of notice and they showed up anyways with nobody home. I am currently looking at other providers. I'll likely go back to Xfinity. They also called and said they fixed my issue remotely, nope, not at all. Good bye fidium. read more

We had Comcast for many years here in Stratham, NH. They are extremely expensive so we decided to change to Fidium (Consolidated) and I have no good things to say. Guess you get what you pay for. 1gig promised and not delivered. Sporadic signal on and off. This is not at all reliable. They ran an 800 foot fiber from up the street to my house. The signal to the house appears to be the issue and not inside. This neighborhood only has 1 gig as well. When I called the customer support folks, they keep wanting me to reset the router. How many times? I was hopeful this would work but no longer. Check with your neighbors before you make this change. If I did, I would have known. I know some areas are good and this may be a great option. read more

Tech support is useless and they end every call with we will escalate it and an advanced technician will call you. They confirm they have the right number but still never call. Twice in 2 weeks they were supposed to come to the house but never even showed up. The 2nd time we called to make sure they were coming and they said they cancelled it because it was fixed remotely which it never was. Even when I called to cancel, the customer service rep was rude and refused to give me a number to the corporate office so I could explain to them what was going on with their tech department. read more

I had my service disconnected, paid my final payment and even sent the router back as instructed. 3 months later I'm getting notices that if I don't make a payment my service will be disconnected and sent to collections. I already disconnected and returned the item, why do I need to pay anything else? This is a bad company trying to scam people to get more money. I would not recommend them to anyone!!! read more

I've had Fidium in New Hampshire for a few months and generally been satisfied, but they've had an outage for 2 days now. I get that outages can happen but the way they've handled it is frustrating. No information provided on their website, no way to get through on the phone, no information period. We'll see how long this goes but I'm starting to think it's time to switch back to Infinity. read more

Wr switched from Comcast, like so many, because their costs were so high. We have had alot of internet issues. Fidium said theirs would be much faster but it is not. I have tried calling every telephone number I can find only to be connected to the Philippines. Can't understand what they are saying. They can connect me with a local number and they can't figure out why I have no internet. It is SO FRUSTRATING. Comcast is looking better and better. I've used Fidium happily for the past week, but today lost service, and called to arrange a repair. The gentleman assisting me asked me a few questions, and then told me that he would open a repair ticket. Several hours later, I noticed that I had received no text confirming my intended repair, or telling me when it might occur. I called again, to ask the "status of my repair ticket," and was told that it "would take about a half hour for that information to be given to me." About an hour later, I received a call telling me that they still did not have any status information. There is more to this sad story, but one would think that Fidium had never processed a repair request before mine. I'm old enough to remember when Public Utilities were constrained in certain ways, but, those days are long over, and Fidium is a monopoly in my area. Their Customer Service seems useless, but, paradoxically I already see that it is far better than that of Comcast, which, as you may know, is a form of torture... read more

A man in a yellow jacket who claiming to be with Fidium showed up at our door. He did not have company ID just introduced himself as Stratton and said that almost all our neighborhood is with Fidium now and we are just one of the few houses left, FALSE. While answering our questions he had to call somebody 3 times to get an answer, very unprofessional. When we asked about how the installation goes, he said that Fidium would bring their cable to the side of our house and from there our existing lines will be used, FALSE. We agreed to think about it and get back to him, he said that he would book installation for us and we can cancel it anytime we want. He left his phone number in case we needed to talk to him directly, the phone number started 801 which is Utah area code, tried calling that number it was automated answering system. Later that that day we received an e mail thanking us for opening an account with them and welcoming us to Fidium. We were very surprised and touched with the fact that somebody would care so much about us and go an extra mile to open an account without our authorization. Called Fidium next day to cancel the unauthorized account, which they did within 10 minutes and said that they'd forwarded this complaint to their Vendor who serves this area. This kind of approach and sales strategies pushed us away from considering Fidium as our prospective ISP. read more

Daughter switched from Xfinity to Fidium because of constant ads stating fiberoptic internet/wifi, promising 1 gig for $75. a month. Never, ever, has she received 1 gig, and one year later starting charging $95. per month, as they say her promotion was up. What promotion? After dealing with the literal Devil, (Xfinity/Comcast), Fiduim has been a breath of fresh air. I started out with the lowest plan, figuring I can always upgrade if needed. BEWARE!!! Their technicians haven't got a clue what they're doing and customer service is AWFUL. I had to take two mornings off from work to get the transfer from Comcast done. The first guy didn't have a clue how to get it done. I rescheduled and asked for a different technician, same story!! They were suggesting running new line from the street at one pointy then said they needed to run conduit along the outside of my house because they couldn't run it inside, when in fact they could use the lines that were already installed. When the second technician was clueless, my tech guy agreed to come by and show him and they got it done in short order. My guy did send a bill and Fidium was going to credit my account but in the end denied it and shut my service off without any notification! When I called them they said their tech should have called his support or supervisor and that they didn't authorize the outside tech so they weren't going to pay that bill. Sooooo, to date I am paying way more than I was with Comcast. Two half days of work lost, a bill from my problem solving guy, interrupted service and lost hours on the phone trying to get answers. I give them a D for customer service and technician knowledge!! If you're switching, open your wallet and put on your pants of patience, you're going to need it. read more
