The driver was the one who sent me a text. So I changed it to curry goat. I then called the restaurant and told the person to give me a credit since the ox tails were $9 more. The restaurant refused to give me a credit. They told me I had to drive to their restaurant with my credit card to get my credit. Huh? I told him to just put the credit on my card and he didn't need the actual card. He claimed he did. So they completely ripped me off. The Festival was so horrible because it was so dry, I couldn't get it down my throat and spit it out. The chicken and goat were all bones with little to no meat on them. Stay away. read more

This is our go to for real Jamaican food. My wife lived in MoBay for 17 years, she says it's the best she's had since leaving. Brown stew is moist, flavorful. Festival is crunchy, tender inside.Callaloo and salt fish is perfectly spiced. We' enjoyed their goat and ox tail as well. Great portion size on entrees. Good side dishes and Oh last but not least really good patties. We started ordering from here back in March, our regular was closed, we'll stick with Fiery Irie from now on. No Bueno's -- lunch special seems smaller -- the brown stew chicken was way too mild in spice -- the chicken itself was about 40% bone -- the gravy more so had the color and consistency of soup than gravy -- first Jamaican restaurant I've seen in my life that doe's not serve a side salad. Still'o Bueno's ++ still clean ++ still has good customer service The food had definitely dropped a few grades since I first tried it. The food tasted like it was prepared by DeVry grads. Note to owners - Take a page out of Dutch Pot down the street, don't serve chicken with more bones than meat, serve more protein, don't be cheap and serve a side salad, and don't forget to season the food properly. Stopped in for lunch with my son and aunt. Great selection and the place is clean, nice and well laid out. The music and vibes is definitely a mental journey to the islands, specifically Jamaica . This was actually my first time eating Jamaican food, other than the occasional Jamaican beef patty, and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. The restaurant was spotlessly clean, and although I didn't have much interaction with this staff, the woman who took my order was very nice. I mentioned it was my first time eating Jamaican food and she suggested I try the brown stew chicken. I ordered the rice with peas and steamed cabbage as my side. Being that it was my first time eating Jamaican food, I really had nothing to compare it with, but the flavors and taste of the food was amazing. The chicken was moist and tender with just the right amount of spices without being too overpowering. There were five nice sized pieces of chicken in there. The side dishes were very good also. The portion was huge and I ended up giving half of it to my son. They have great lunch specials and I know I will return there to try out some of their other dishes. I've listened to them explain exactly what the menu items are and how they'll taste. The space is bright and clean. Most importantly, the food is fresh and the flavors are incredible. So far I've had the red peas soup, saltfish fritters and Ackee and saltfish with a side of plantation and boiled food (not all in one sitting ). So I was told by the cashier, I was too late for the lunch special even though I was in line at !:52 pm, (which by the I have received the lunch special at lease 5 time once I was in line before 2pm. I went to Fiery Irie today and tried out their jerk chicken meal. First and foremost the lady who served me was extremely rude. She had short colored hair. I had a full day ahead of me As I begin to eat my food I found a piece of hair in my rice and instantly became nauseous. I called pleasantly to make them aware of the unfortunate situation and the lady let me speak with the Manager whom name I believe is Andre. He apologized and asked if I wanted a meal replacement. I kindly replied no and made him aware that I would prefer a refund. He stated that would be no problem and to come back in before closing. I stay no where near I was working so this is already an inconvenience but no problem I agreed. He calls back moments later to say I MUST bring in the plate of food with the hair in it in order to get a refund although I have made him aware that I already have a picture of it. I'm not sure who wants to drive around with loud smelling food going from client to client but not me. I have to stick to restaurants that value customers and do not require one to keep the residue of a mishap on the chef's behalf for hours on hours. I go out of my way to support small owned businesses but unfortunately the love is not always reciprocated. I know accidents happen and I'm very understanding but it's the way you handle people. The rice and peas tasted like it was spoil (idk how) and the chicken flavor was not the best to top it off, the plantains taste like frozen plantain( not freshly cut and fried sweet plantain) and for no reason should a Jamaican restaurant use frozen plantains and not fresh plantains.
