Pork Belly Al Pastor. Amazing and a ton of food. Get this!
    Erik S.

So yeah, not a native to the area here, but have had plenty of Mexican food all over the country and in Mexico itself. It is important to realize when going here, this is Mexican food, not New Mexican food! With that important distinction in mind.. everything we had, from simply the chips and salsa, to the entrees were tip top in both presentation and taste. Walking into the restaurant, vibes are set to 100. Everything is fun and modern, there is excellent music playing, and when there was a birthday celebration they actually switched to 50 Cent's "In Da Club" you know... "Go Shorty, it's your birthday, we gonna party like it's your birthday" We didn't order any alcohol, but decided to order tableside guac. At the time we went it was a little later, so they didn't come make it tableside. No matter, it was clear it was made right then, and the taste was PERFECT. Especially with the warm and crispy chips, not to mention this wonderful salsa they came with. I saw another reviewer mention they were offput because it had a reddish brown color, they use roasted tomatoes and peppers! There is a really nice spice to it, and switch back and forth to guac and salsa was nice. I asked what dishes the waitress recommended, and one of her choices was the Pork Belly Al Pastor, which is definitely understated on the menu. Marinated pork belly, caramelize pineapple, server with tomatillo salsa, crema, roasted tomato salsa, rice and beans. Nowhere does that mention this will come out on a giant skewer with 4 MASSIVE chunks of pork belly between and entire pineapple! There was easily 3/4 to an entire pound of cooked pork belly on that skewer. I had plenty for another meal, potentially two more meals. The taste was just as good as the presentation, the fat on the pork belly was perfectly rendered down to that buttery consistency. The meat tender. The pineapple was sweet and provided a nice tangy switch up. Putting it all together on fresh flour tortillas, I was exceptionally happy. All told, some people have talked about pricing here. You will be well fed! This is a higher end Mexican restaurant, and the amount of food you are going to get will keep you eating for another day. I highly recommend this spot!

I've been 3x now and each time has been better and better. The last time we went we had a party of 14. Our reservation somehow got "lost" for BJs so I called Fiesta Azul, asked if they could seat 14 people within 15 minutes and they said yes. Everything was ready for us by the time we arrived. The food is solid, but expensive. Honestly, a little too pricey for me for Mexican food, but I get it. The prices are higher because of the location, space, staff, and decor. I recommend ordering Authentic Mexican Dishes here. Not New Mexican. Not Tex Mex. Mexican. If you don't order a traditional Mexican dish then you will be disappointed. Also, come in with a mindset this is a Mexican restaurant. Not New Mexican. Also, it's a tequila house. The tequila they served was delicious and I'm not a big tequila fan. Downfall of the place is service can be slow especially when it's packed, but that's because all the food is made fresh. Considering we had 14 people in our party and arrived within 15 minutes of calling: I thought they did a fantastic job. Muy Amable Good food, but expensive. Good service. Private parking with plenty of spots in the front, back, and side street.

I came here for a friend's bachelorette party dinner on a Friday night and it was popping! The place was packed and pretty loud - I wouldn't come here if you want to have a nice or serious conversation. That said, the food was delicious and the vibes were great with good energy from the other patrons and the staff. It was clearly the place to go for birthdays as they really go all out celebrating. I had a chicken quesadilla that was thick and tasty. The margaritas were creative and fun flavors, perfect for pitchers to try a few as a group!

Walked right in and seated. Staff is friendly and quick offering chips and salsa. Both tastes as though they are made in house; very good!! The food was absolutely amazing! I think I've been here before, but unsure, but regardless, I will be coming back!

Just gonna start off with a warning regarding service, our server was quite and spoke limited English which isn't a big deal outside of he seemed to misunderstand us in every way that led to an up charge. Like for example, he asked what kind of water we would like and started to list their offerings and "not sparkling, just normal" got turned into an $8 still charge. The chips were pretty stale and salsa was meh. Other than that, everything was really great. They have a wide selection of margaritas and I loved my chamoy mangonada, note it was apparently the large size which was $18. They have so many tequilas and definitely the spot for margaritas. I got the Mexican tacos with pastor Tijuana style (with guacamole) and they were really great. My friend got ceviche and it was super good, the best I've had in town. The food is really the reason I'd come back. It was a Friday night and definitely a party, lots of birthdays were being celebrated.

It was an ok Mexican restaurant. Very strong Margaritas. Queso with shrimp was nothing special. I got the sizzling plate with lots of meat and seafood including a chicken breast with rice and beans. We all got sick from the food. We are thinking Queso was bad.

Asked the locals where to go, and boom--here I am! I had to come early since I discovered that most restaurants close early during the week, and I had to get my fix of Mexican food before leaving. And boy, am I glad I came here! When I arrived, the restaurant was a little empty, but no biggie--it picked up quickly with diners of all ages, backgrounds, singles, groups, couples, you name it. I started with a traditional margarita, chips, salsa, and shrimp ceviche. As my ceviche arrived, I struck up a conversation with a beautiful young lady next to me and ended up sharing my appetizer--glad I did because the portion was hefty! Everything was fresh, perfectly seasoned, and paired beautifully with the salty chips. Next came the chicken rice bowl--loaded with chicken, rice, black beans, all the good fixings... and of course, bring me some chips so I can dip, dip, dip! The food was outstanding, and our bartender--who was new--was such a joy! You'd never know it was her first rodeo; she was completely on point with everything. Run, don't walk, to this place! When I return to Albuquerque, I'll be back to explore more. Bon appétit!

I have been here a couple of times and it is a fun atmosphere - start with quality tequila shots. The food is tasty - I enjoyed the shrimp tacos and the blue Caracas house margaritas. The service was good and it is very festive - it's definitely a birthday or party place to go!

Wanted to try a new restaurant so we headed to Fiesta Azul. As you walk in you are hit with fantastic music and the hostesses were so nice. Our server was Alejandro who was very nice. Ordered water and they bring you your own caraf. We ordered the enchiladas supreme and birria tacos. Everything was flavorful and filling. The birria tacos bursting with flavor and the best part not overpowering with cinnamon. Enchiladas supreme dish was one cheese, one bean, one chicken, and beef covered with lettuce, tomato, and crema. I can't wait to come back to try the mole Enchiladas and carne aside Alejandro recommended. Thank you Fiesta Azul for fast friendly service!

Went on a Friday night and loved the vibe, it was a good mix of a club/dine dinning atmosphere. The music was loud and it appeared that many people were having a great time with family and friends. The food came out sizzling hot, tasty and very delicious. We were very pleased with the portion size and our overall experience. We will be back some time in the near future!

First time visiting this new spot! The menu has Plenty of options which was very hard to make a decision of all the delicious things I wanted to try! We started with the queso, can't go wrong there! I ordered the suzia enchiladas which was a creamy green sauce, so delicious! We also ordered the asada which had a great flavor. Tres leches for dessert! So good! Drinks were also amazing. They played music and the ambiance was fun, can't wait to go back.

We celebrated a friend's birthday at Tequila Azul and had such a fun time! From the moment we walked in, we were struck by the vibrant vibe and charming decor--it's one of those places with Instagram-worthy photo ops at every turn. Definitely a spot where you'll want to snap a few pics! They were super accommodating for our party of seven, which we appreciated. I ordered the chimichanga and the Coco Loco--one of their signature drinks, served in a fresh coconut. The presentation was on point, and the drink itself was tropical, creamy, and delicious. We all ended up snacking on the coconut afterward--such a fun touch. The chimichanga hit the spot, especially with that gooey, flavorful queso on top. It was everything I wanted in a comfort Mexican dish. The staff made the birthday feel extra special, coming out with a shot of tequila and a big birthday sign while singing--such a festive and memorable moment. Tequila Azul is the perfect place to celebrate, sip, and savor. Great food, great drinks, great energy--can't wait to go back!

Such a delicious vibe! I suggest you try it...today, like seriously...go now! LOL GREST, friendly service from start to finish. The space is open, large, warm, and comfortably inviting! The website menu and other friends that have gone indicated table side guacamole, meaning they make it on front of you at your table. I was looking forward to this experience but when we ordered it I was told they don't make it at the table. I was confused and disappointed but ordered it anyway. The guacamole is one of the best flavored and textured I've had. Very delicious. The menu is vast and filled with so many options! The bar is well stocked with many favorites and their drink menu is unique and special. I loved the unique corn tortillas. I look forward to my next visit to try something new.

To enter, you tap a banana sculpture three times in the hotel lobby and a hidden door opens -- such a fun and unique way to start the night. Inside, the vibe is intimate and stylish, with high-end vintage audio gear Macintosh receivers and vinyl playing moody lighting, and a super clean art deco-inspired restroom. The bartender was friendly, the drink I ordered was fantastic, and the whole experience felt like stepping into a curated piece of the past. It's cozy, creative, and executed with care. Hotel Zazz (Same Property) Unfortunately, the hotel experience didn't live up to the lounge. The room had issues: the fridge didn't work, the sink was clogged with hair and candy, and I had to unclog it myself. Cleanliness was below even basic motel standards -- not what I expected given the boutique vibe they're going for. The staff were polite but clearly not trained properly, especially around handling payments. When I checked in, they charged me $12.92 for parking. At checkout, a different staff member realized the lot was empty and tried to refund it, saying I shouldn't have been charged at all -- but instead, they charged me again. Now I've been charged twice, and despite calling twice and leaving messages, no manager has returned my call. It's a shame -- the hotel has so much creative potential, but it's not being managed properly. Zéma Vinyl Lounge: 5 stars. Hotel Zazz: 1 stars. Needs serious attention to staff training, guest communication, and basic cleanliness.

Yesterday was a mocktail and then a drink with alcohol. They both were outstanding. Today I did a martini flight and the Cacao, the alpine and the one with sandalwood. They are the perfect size for a flight. The Alpine was like a limoncello and is good. The cacao was also good. It wasn't chocolate overload but a true cacao taste. The big surprise was the sandalwood manhattan. What a smooth and dangerous drink. I'm not a fan of a manhattan but wowzer this could get me in trouble. It's so smooth and not too sweet, which is why I don't like manhattans. This by far my favorite place to have a cocktail. I didn't like the crowd vibe inside so I just took my drink to my room. I'd definitely visit again, but hopefully next time hand-in-hand with a particular tall dark handsome man.

This time was no different in terms of our server's attention, personality, efficiency, and overall demeanor. V ~ was great and thank you! I am personally giving 3 stars for this bar/restaurant for 2 reasons: 1) the online menu is not updated with prices - I will delve into this more in a minute, and 2) kitchen service was slower than expected. Here is a link to their menu online: https://drive.google.com/file/d/148CplSivVBTXmrWlSO46WytoWdpd0REA/view I got the hard seltzer which was supposed to be $7 but I ended up paying $10 for a can of seltzer. Got 2 and the total without tip with tax was over $21. Seriously! that is friggin outrageous. I would have gotten wine if I wanted to spend that much. TRULY HARD SELTZER | 7 Hard Seltzer | 5.0% ABV Secondly, 7 out of 8 of us ordered food and 1 person had to ask for her crostini 3 or 4 times. Our lovely server did take it off of her check but nontheless, we were all done eating by the time she got her food and she was so gracious about it. Another thing: why can't I make a reservation in advance for a group of more than 4 when the place was clearly not busy at 4 pm on a Tuesday? We make 3 separate reservations for 4 people. This is a social group, and we meetup via MEETUP weekly. People will RSVP and then cancel. We had 12 coming and then 8 showed up. I am not certain we will resturn.
