One of my daughters is very picky about what she puts in her mouth but she actually loved and finished the jasmine rice that came with the steak dish. I didn't quite enjoy my salmon and the spinach that I asked for as a side was too oily! I love a restaurant that brings out fresh bread. It was amazing! Our waitress gave us her name but I don't remember. You will hear her talking in the video as she patiently explained the desserts that they had. She was the best.. we are going back tomorrow for brunch.

From the moment you walk in, there's a warm, welcoming energy -- part upscale café, part gourmet market, and entirely delightful. The food is nothing short of outstanding. Everything is fresh, thoughtfully prepared, and full of flavor. Whether you're stopping in for a healthy lunch, a cozy dinner, or just grabbing a coffee and pastry, the quality is consistent and always impressive. The menu has something for everyone -- from crisp salads and comforting pastas to standout daily specials that are hard to pass up. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate (starting with Inés - Chef and owner) on what they serve. You can tell there's real care behind every detail, from the curated wine selection to the artisanal groceries lining the shelves. Open Kitchen is more than just a restaurant -- it's a community spot where good food meets good people and friends; which I have been a customer for more than 9 years. A must-visit in Bay Harbor Islands!

I've tried the…read moreFrench cooking class as well as the Indian cooking class and had a lot of fun, learned a few things about different cuisines, and enjoyed meeting and getting to know our cooking mates. The Chef's Table Dinners are phenomenal and I'm surprised not more people know about these events. I attended the Friendsgiving Thanksgiving themed dinner with Chef Jorge Montes and it was fantastic. I also more recently attended the Burmese Chef's Table Dinner with Chef May Aungthet Ahmay and it was excellent. I look forward to attending more of these events and I understand that many are planned. They are also doing a food delivery service, which I'd love to try. If you like great food and a more intimate experience where you actually get to meet people and speak with talented Chefs, this is your jam.

Making lobster ravioli from scratch is intimidating but @chef.deb made it easy! As matter of fact, this experience inspired me! We made pasta from scratch, then the lobster filling and whipped out a tasty Beurre Blanc sauce. Plus we also made a refreshing salad with Shaved Fennel and Orange in Vinaigrette. The class was so much fun and everyone was friendly. They have classes scheduled every month so check out @communityclassroomproject on IG frequently. Proceeds from these events support the CCK's mission to enhance the well-being of South Florida families through the joy of cooking and communal dining. Since launching, they have provided several scholarships to area students for culinary camps and donated several thousand meal boxes to families in need. They recently received a $40,000 grant from the Children's Services Council to continue their work in the community.
