Ok food choice. I ordered the california king burrito, and it's packed with fries, al pastor in this "special marinade", and lots of sauces/condiments like chipotle aioli, salsa, pico de gallo. It's usually topped with grilled cheese but I opted against it. The special marinade was interesting. Kinda spicy in a way I didn't like. One thing I'll note is that the food truck's menu prices were different from what I was actually charged. I think the food menu is not updated. California King was a couple dollars more expensive pre-tax. Nearly $17 for a burrito is a lot! Not sure if worth. read more

I ate a burrito from this food truck at my office complex at Lakeshore Towers. They offer Mexican dishes like burritos, quesadillas and tacos. I ordered the green burrito ($11 | chicken, pinto beans & rice). They did not have green tortillas, so they used a regular tortilla. Although the burrito was packed, I felt the ingredients could have been better seasoned with cumin and other typical Mexican spices. The habañero salsa helped a bit, but couldn't rescue a burrito that had iceberg lettuce. I don't like lettuce in my burrito. Regarding the service, it was friendly enuf. However, I was told it would take 10 min (which I thought was kinda long), but ended up taking closer to 15 min. Others seemed to be waiting longer than expected also. I don't think I will return. I didn't finish my burrito bc I became bored with the taste, and I rarely leave leftovers. I guess this is just another mediocre food truck. At least its not overpriced too! read more

I was so disappointed to get a thick hamburger with a consistency as if it was boiled. Probably one of the worst hamburgers I have ever had in my life. The birria grilled cheese was cooked perfectly and the cheese was very melty. The slow cooked beef was perfectly tender and paired nicely with the cheese they added. The bread itself was just regular white bread but they added grilled cheese onto the outside of one side, which made handling the sandwich difficult since it was greasy. Thought it would come with consomé but unfortunately it didn't. The al pastor fries were fine. It had mozzarella cheese on top but definitely would've preferred a different cheese to pair with it. They added bacon to have some more meat on it but if it had more of the marinated pork, it wouldn't have needed bacon. The person who served us was nice and told us his favorites as recommendations. They had utensils and some condiments set up next to the food truck. It was just a one day event when this food truck came to my apartment. Fiesta gourmet food truck was at Bottle Logic brewing a while back. I wasn't really sure how it would be due to the fact that food trucks are so trendy now. To me, trendy equals overpriced and undersized portions. To my surprise, Fiesta Gourmet's portions are big, pricey, but big. My friends and I ended up ordering nachos (get an extra side of sweet and spicy jalapeños! These were so good I decided to make my own), carne asada fries, tacos and a bowl of some kind. All this food around $50. Big portions, big flavor and big price. The meats weren't dry, flavor profiles were great, ingredients were fresh and the staff was super helpful. You know... the food is meh and the service is even worse. We have had multiple issues with this truck at several locations (Brewheim and Brewery X). Whether it is being charged for an item and it never being made, one item in the order having been sitting for a while and cold (while we waited right next to the truck for our order), or an item never being written down/made...the issues never seem to end. When it comes to correcting mistakes, they are defensive at best. At this point we are done giving them chances. I suppose when we see they are the food truck, it is time for Postmates or bringing our own snacks. Also, if you order the asada fries...you get a lot of fries and very little anything else for $12. read more

Solid food truck choice. When I see asada french fries on the menu, there's a 97% chance that I'm ordering it. I asked if I could get half asada and half al pastor fries because I saw an enticing photo of the al pastor on Yelp. While waiting, we enjoyed freshly cooked tortilla chips laid out on the curbside table in front of the truck. Don't worry- the chips might be communal but the salsa is not. There were small containers one could squeeze salsa bottles out of and dip the crispy, lightly salted chips. Salsa spice level is at a medium and there's only 1 option. Curbside salsa and chips was addicting and a thoughtful gesture that I appreciated. I was amazed by the huge serving size of my asada/ al pastor fries! It caught a lot of eyes while I walked my lunch to the building. Toppings included jalapeños (yes!), bacon and guacamole. The two drizzled sauces were chipotle and sour cream. French fries were crispy and lightly seasoned. The asada and al pastor had a savory marinade. Altogether, the blended flavors of each item made me do my happy-while-eating dance. Definitely a 2 serving entree! I microwaved the rest for dinner and it still received attention from my coworkers because the smell was just delicious. read more

Fiesta gourmet came by the Fullerton truck squad rally last week and rocked my world with its sublime serrano crema: with the ribs n seeds taken out the serrano added a dynamic fruit favor that paired so well with my carne quesadillas. Looked family owned and operated, portions were generous, and the food extra yummy. An excellent representation of socal-mex food that sparked off the whole food truck scene. Today we decided to go to the Anaheim card convention and stumbled upon this nice place. I got the Taco Tour with all the different meats. They were amazing and hit the spot hard. The service was good. The food came out within 10 minutes. The ambiance of the food truck itself was very flashy and cool. I love this place. Food truck Thursday's once again at my apartment complex! Again I can't emphasize how everyone should give food trucks a try. They may really surprise you! My boyfriend ordered an order of carne asada tacos (3 tacos), fish tacos (2 tacos) and carne asada fries. Everything was so so so good. Flavorful and tasted so authentic. But my favorite by far was the fish taco! The taco shell was toasted to perfection. And the fish was fried so crispy. It came with a nice sauce and tomatoes. Every bite left me wanting more. IT WAS THAT GOOD. It was $9 for only 2 so not like I would order a lot...but still I highly recommend the fish tacos! read more

I ordered the 3 taco plate, which came with the smallest dollop of beans. Immediately I knew the beans were cold, because the cheese shreds on top were not melted in the slightest. My thoughts were confirmed when I tried a bite. Moved on to the tacos next, which stated it came with guacamole & Pico. Uhhhh there was salsa verde on top, but not guacamole?? Took 1 bite and HOLY SALT, someone went in HEAVY when seasoning this meat. I mean, to the point it was inedible. Despite being so hungry, I took 1 bite of the taco & had to throw the rest away. Food Truck Wednesday is an opportunity for me to support small business owners, try some new food concepts and get another beating from the wife for spending more than my weekly nickel allowance. The wind was giving the menu board quite the beating, I am sure I will getting a similar whopping when the better half reads this review. My suggestion would be to invest in street sign and lose the chalkboard. Several guests (including yours truly) had to grab the chalkboard to prevent it from being blown over by the wind. On the other hand, catching the chalkboard did give me something to do while I was waiting for my food, so maybe they should keep it. My food made it to the window within 10 minutes and with order in hand a trudged back up to my dreary cubicle to chow down. I am going to give you a little bit of an education on Coca-Cola and soda in general. Most soda produced in the United States uses high fructose corn syrup (H.F.C.S.) as its sweetener while the bottled version of Mexican Coke that is exported to the United States uses cane sugar. Food scientists, doctors and dietitians (not to be confused with nutritionists who aren't accredited) all go by the mantra "sugar is sugar" so the thought that natural sugar is more healthy than H.F.C.S. is "fake news" created by the media much in the same way a gluten free diet is supposed be healthy for you. Spoiler alert ... IT IS NOT!!!!!!!!!!!! Rohlinism: You can always trust the media to be untrustworthy! The one thing I am sure of is the pure cane version of Coke tastes better than its H.F.C.S. counterpart. Laina and I encounter Mexican Coke on our honeymoon in Cancun and it wasn't exactly love at first sight. We thought the Mexican Coke tasted off at first, but as the week passed, we came to appreciate this version of Coke. When we arrived home after our honeymoon, it was H.F.C.S. version that tasted funky and has tasted funky ever since. So needless to say, I will grab a Mexican Coke whenever it is served. Now that I have run off on a "Crazy Coke" tangent, I get back to the burrito. The first thing I noticed is the cheese is melted onto the tortilla instead of being mixed into the burrito with the rest of the ingredients. I thought the concept was interesting, but I wish the cheese layer would have been thicker i.e. more cheese! I don't think the tortilla is house made, but it didn't taste stale. The carne asada was finely chopped and I thought it was nicely seasoned. The green salsa stood out and gave the burrito some fire. The pico looked fresh and the mild flavor integrated well with the other items in the burrito. The avocado in the guacamole was vibrant, it was properly mashed and seasoned. The burrito itself was a little steep in the price department ($11.00), but it was filling and the wife willing be beating me anyway so I went for broke ... perhaps literally as well as figuratively. I would definitely come back here once the taste of gruel has left my palate, my wounds have healed up and my joints are less stiff from all the time sleeping in the closet! read more

This is my favorite food truck that makes a stop at my work building every few weeks. Everything I've had so far has been great - the quesadilla, al pastor fries, and 3 tacos plate. They are very generous with the meat on their street tacos. I love how flavorful their meat and sauces are, so it's worth the money each time. read more

I had the quesadilla with Chicken at the Orange farmers market. It was a lot of food and sooo good! The chipotle sauce had just enough kick to Bring out a ton of flavor. Needless to say I enjoyed it. I was lucky enough to have Fiesta Gourmet visit my apartment complex in Irvine. My boyfriend and I had just eaten, but when we arrived home, were curious about the food truck in our parking lot. We just wanted to take a look at what they had for future reference but as soon as we started looking at the menu, the owner, Ruben got a hold of us. He was so genuinely sweet and very enthusiastic about his brand. Even though I was full, he was able to convince me to try the tacos. I had the Pastor Cali Tacos and they were amazing!! Meat was juicy and flavorful, the taco had a great ratio of meat to filler. Beware: if you don't like spicy, the jalapeño crema is FIRE! My mouth was burning, but it was totally worth it. I got the green burrito and it was pretty good. It was definitely on the spicy side but still very good. I'm giving them 3 stars instead of 5 because they didn't put guacamole on my green burrito. They were a little disorganized and so I guess there was a miscommunication between the workers. I didn't realize until I left and took a bite of my burrito, that my guacamole wasn't included. Other than that, the burrito was good and flavorful. It's a huge burrito and the price is reasonable. I like that they put it on a spinach wrap because I love spinach. It got a little hard to enjoy the burrito at times because they overloaded my burrito with their special spicy sauce. Overall big portions, tasty burrito, reasonable price, and customer service was average. They need to work on communication and make sure they are making the food the way the customers are requesting it. Upon my second visit they made my burrito the way I wanted with guacamole and the burrito wasn't as spicy so I enjoyed my burrito. Customer service has improved. read more
