Really good service and food is pretty good. I believe they have the best margarita in town.

Used to be our go to restaurant in Brewster. No more. Last three visits were huge disappointments. Service was simply lousy; very slow, rude, uncaring. Food looks and tastes like it is microwaved. Only good part is the guacamole prepared in front of you. Lastly, we always walk out reeking like over cooked, rancid fried oil. Bottom line, we walk out feeling lousy. Who needs that? Make the trip to Hacienda in Brookfield, CT. They do Mexican food right. read more

We were in town visiting some family, when this place was recommended to us. The guacamole was tasteless, and had no flavor. Not worth the 10 dollars I paid for. The food was also extremely bland. The chips and salsa was average. You have to pay for a refill on the soda, which I hardly ever see except for in small restaurants. This place doesn't seem small and was exceptionally busy. So either people think it's good or have no where else to go. The only thing good about the place was the service. They were very friendly and attentive. Although they didn't even ask if the food was good. If you're not into spicy or flavorful food this is the place to go. read more

Food is ok, very over priced. For the $13 you pay for guacamole it's about the size of a spoon. I order the combo, my wife ordered cheese and mushrooms, we each had 1 drink and it was over $70. Staff not very friendly, place is kinda clean I guess. Gave them another shot, sat at the bar and we were ignored for 20 minutes. When I asked the bartender who was standing around doing absolutely nothing he got snarky with me. Thank you because you saved me a lot of money on cheese and flour. read more

I think this is the best and authentic Mexican food I have had in the state of NY. Located in an unassuming strip mall, this Mexican fiesta is filled with life. Mexican fiesta streamers fill the restaurant, a mariachi band serenades diners and soccer streams from the bar's TVs. At 7:30pm on a Friday night there were no other tables available. The large portions will leave you feeling full and satisfied. If you are on a drive to upstate NY, this is a great place to stop on your way to your destination. I consider myself a Mexican food snob and this place was a winner. The salsa was fresh with just enough onion and cilantro to make us ask for several refills. Normally, I order enchiladas, but I noticed they put mushrooms in their fajitas ( have never seen that before) so I decided to give it a try. It was delicious! I would have given it 5 stars, but service was a bit disappointing. We barely put our forks down and they were taking our plates away reaching across the table and completely interrupting our conversations. It was almost rude. I will preface by saying that we arrived at 2pm so it was between lunch and dinner. The waiters paid closer attention to their smartphones than the few guests that were present. Had the service been better, I would consider 4 stars rather than 3. Having come from the southwestern states, I really like strong spice (cumin, chili pepper, cilantro, etc) and I was disappointed that the food was bland. We asked for the hot salsa and it wasn't hot at all. Safe even for children. Had the chicken enchiladas and beef taco combo. Chicken was good (no fat or skin) but bland. I'm a little torn how to rate this place, the food is more a three (I'm not a huge fan of Mexican and it's not anything amazing here). However, the drinks are a five! I am absolutely in looooove with their mango margaritas!!! I could drink them all day long, so delicious! You can expect all the expected americanized mexican fare - delicious housemade salsa, beautiful handpainted decor (I remember them saying a local artist did everything, which was really great), delicious guacamole (I hate guacamole, but my coworkers loved it the times we have been there) and some great food. There isn't much lightfare to enjoy here, but if dietary restrictions and limitation of your cheese, fat, dairy, beans, carbs intake isn't your concern...well, do it up and enjoy it at this place! There is a reason why this place is always packed - it's truly a great Mexican restaurant. The food is delicious and fresh. The ambiance is festive with streamers and pinatas hanging from the ceilings and big colorful murals on the walls. There is a Mariachi band that walks around playing classic Mariachi songs as well as other songs (The Beatles) in Spanish. They make excellent margaritas. When you go; you must absolutely get the fresh guacamole that they prepare table side. Until I tasted this; I never ate avocados or guacamole. Now I am a fan and that is thanks to this restaurant. I stopped here recently for lunch. The service was great with plenty of help. The food was fresh and flavorful. Everyone was getting the table side fresh made guacamole and it looked great. The restaurant starts you with fresh made tortilla chips and salsa which was delicious. When I asked for the football game to be switched on in the bar they were very accommodating and changed the channel. Prices were reasonable. $3.75 for a Corona not bad. We have been going to this restaurant since it was in downtown Brewster. So much has changed. Our waitress was sub par, the drink order came incorrect, our appetizer didn't come before our dinner so we told her not to bring it, our medium rare steak arrived medium well, service and food was slow in coming, second order of drinks was slow in coming, and coffee never came with dessert so we cancelled it. $85 later, we have decided this was a waste of our time and money. The owners used to come by and visit each table, there was always music and now there isn't even the great service or food. We can spend $85 plus tips in many local places and have a very decent meal with pleasant customer service. Sorry that they weren't able to keep up with their previous performance. read more

Solid 4 stars for this hearty little mexican restaurant. I am not from the area, but it looks like a hole in the wall from the outside and you can tell many locals visit here. They had a pretty good crowd on a summer Friday night which was a good sign. We were a party of three celebrating a birthday and I have to say food and drinks were very good as was the service. Waitress and bussers were attentive and were close by if we needed more of something which was nice. We ordered the frozen margaritas - pomegranate and mango, to be exact, and they were tasty and refreshing. Guacamole was great, although we ordered medium heat, and I didn't taste any heat at all (guess everyone's taste buds for spice is different). Bad. Not close to authentic. Food tasted like it was made hours before. Creamy guac makes me think it's not 100% avacado. Soggy corn tortillas in my chicken enchiladas makes me think it was made that morning. My friend's fajita plate was so bland he asked for salt and pepper. Margarita served in a red plastic cup like I was at a party for a group of 11 year old kids - and it was $10.00!! And the waiters are all 20 year old boys who barely pass the politeness test. Very good place for above-average Mexican food and good service. Excellent location. We've never had a problem and have been going here for over 5 years. They make guacamole mild or spicy (which I didn't find to be that spicy) right at your table. They offer the usual courtesy of fresh chips and salsa. The drinks are good. The food is never a problem. I am not a big fan of the desserts, and did not like their flan. The rice and beans are average. The main meals are what I prefer and find to be best.
