Hubby & I had dinner here Friday night. We were greeted & seated right away. Staff were very friendly. Our server was excellent. He had a great personality & did a great job. Hubby ordered his favorite draft beer & I got sangria. Both were very good. The chips were good. The salsa was good, but a bit too spicy for me. However, I am a super big wimp when it comes to spice. Hubby created a combo with a ground beef chimichanga, pork tamale & a chicken enchilada. I got the chicken fajitas without peppers. The rice is bland. It's cooked well though. All of the food could use more seasoning. The chimichanga wasn't crispy. The refried beans were good & the flour tortillas were really good & soft. I used to love this place and have eaten here three times before, so today's visit was especially disappointing. The chips were stale, and instead of the chicken taquitos I expected, I was served what looked like a chicken fried burrito sliced into pieces, with the chicken marinated in a red sauce. The cheese crisp also missed the mark, with only the top layer of cheese melted while the rest remained unmelted. The one bright spot was our waitress. She was genuinely sweet, attentive, and did her best to make the experience enjoyable. Unfortunately, the food just wasn't up to the standard I remembered. read more

Came here for the first time after hearing about how great their molcajete is. I've been craving for it. Came around 7pm, got seated quickly, went through the whole menu to see what they had to offer. Still decided on the molcajete and a fish. It took our server quite some time to greet us, unfortunately. When she finally came we ordered our drinks then our food when she came back. We got some chips and salsa. The our fish and sides came out first, then a few minutes later our molcajete. The fish was subpar, wouldn't order it again for $23. The molcajete was great, flavor was wonderful, but we were sad the flour tortillas were like mission flour tortillas from the store. We were expecting something a bit more authentic I suppose. Service was really slow and lack luster , seemed like she only came to our table when called for, while passing by. Instead of just checking up on us. I really do hate to give a bad review, but this was the absolute worst Mexican food that I have had in a very long time! It was flavorless and had zero spice to it! I didn't get a chance to take any photos of my food because I forgot my phone. I went there for lunch and I sat at the bar. The bartender was very nice and friendly so this is not against her. But that food was awful! I had a shredded beef taco and a chimichanga with shredded beef as well. I asked for some green sauce and while it was tangy, it was very thin and lacked spice to me. There are too many other options in Phoenix to go and get some really good Mexican food! It's a shame because I was looking forward to trying a new restaurant and this fell flat all the way around. While visiting my Brother in Chandler, Az this restaurant was suggested by his girlfriend, when we got here it wasn't too busy until about 30min into the service. The table has a note that says the 1st basket of chips is complimentary and then an additional $1.99 per basket and $1.45 for additional salsa. Our waitress was very kind and explained what was good/recommended and tbh we requested the fish ceviche and she told us it wasn't all that great and to get shrimp but, 1 person in our party of 4 is very allergic to shrimp, and we said we will just try the fish ceviche and if not good she was willing to swap for no charge and guess what? It was yummy! It was a lot of food and we took 1/2 of everything home to eat later, our bill was average since there were 3 alcoholic drinks ordered, overall the food was good and we will be back to try other things on a later date. read more

I have visited other Fiesta Mexicana Restaurants, but this was my first at this location. I really enjoyed their Goodyear location. So when I noticed there was one in Chandler, we had to try it out. The atmosphere is just as festive. The service was very friendly and courteous. I had the Pollo La Crema. It was good, nothing to brag about. My wife had the taco and enchilada. Which she did enjoy. However, I noticed there wasn't that much shredded beef in the taco. They will also charge you for a refill on the chips and salsa. I'm not to impressed with that. We also had a margarita which was good. With all this, the bill was close to $70.00 including tip. For that price, I think the food should be a little better. In the 3 years I've lived here I have been to this restaurant numerous times and always enjoyed a good meal. Tonight I was served what can only be described as a salt burrito covered in sauce. I sent it back and they gave me a meal literally half the size, yet charged me for the original meal. After confronted with the issue, the waiter only made excuses. Tried this restaurant for the first time last night. I'm very picky with food, atmosphere, and servers. We were really impressed with the fast service and quality of food! "Manny" was our server, and he was awesome and had a sense of humor. He took good care of us. Food was great. I had shredded beef enchiladas. It was so hot that it took a few minutes to cool. For the most part, the rice and beans are exactly what was expected. Just something about the chicken and beef flavors that were off. Went here with a friend because we had heard they had a good "taco Tuesday". The regular menu looked like too much food so we asked for the taco Tuesday menu and also the children's menu. Both my friend and I are seniors and don't eat large meals. The waitress said twice that the children's menu is ONLY FOR CHILDREN. I had never run into this rude response before. So we both had 1 taco and a soda and left the waitress $1? She was rude, didn't present the taco Tuesday menu, when we asked for additional salsa she said there was an extra charge because "they don't like to waste" any salsa that is not eaten, and the final straw was that we couildn't order from the children's menu. If she had allowed us to order the children's menu the bill would have been more than the drink and one taco. Needless to say, we won't go there again! read more

Went to dinner last night at this restaurant with a large group of friends. I've eaten here in the past and wasn't impressed but because one of our friends made the reservation there, we joined them. The service was not good. It was extremely slow. One of the ladies in our group asked for small plates so we could each take a small amount of tortilla chips and salsa. (The chips also needed salted because they had no flavor). Our server replies with she'll get us a "few". There were seven women and she brought us five plates. (when our friends go out the guys all sit together and the ladies all sit together.) I decided to try the street tacos. They came and the tortillas were greasy and didn't even appear grilled or cooked at all so I took a regular tortilla from the container that she had brought the table. The meat was extremely dry and chewy with no flavor/seasoning and a LOT of gristle. (I had ordered a side of sour cream to go with that. I didn't get it. I asked our server again when she brought a margarita to one of our party She still didn't bring it. I had to get out of my chair and chase her down and ask her a third time and then she finally brought it! I tried to eat this meal and I just couldn't. So I told my server that I couldn't eat it and I thought she was going to take it off the bill. I told her I didn't want the food replaced or anything else food wise and instead just to bring me a 2nd margarita. Reviewing my bill this morning I see she left the meal on the bill, but comped the margarita. As a positive One set of friends had fajitas and said they were pretty good. Another friend had a seafood chimichanga and really liked that and another one had a salad and liked hers. Back to the service--a couple ladies asked for water refills never got that. We had to give one of our empty Margarita glasses in order to have them put a new Margarita in it because they didn't have enough glasses I guess at the bar??! Funny not funny that a Mexican restaurant doesn't have enough glassware to make margaritas for the customer The restaurant was not that busy. And of course because we are a large group of people they add 20% tip. My friend asked her if she HAD to give a 20% tip because of all the things she didn't do for us, or bring us. My friend was told YES we had to give a 20% tip! I guess no matter what??!. I will not be back to this restaurant ever again. There are many other restaurants only a short distance away with much better food (Nando's, Manuel's) and a lot better service. read more

Went here for lunch with a friend. Place is unique and interesting. Decor tells me right from entry this is a Mexican restaurant for sure. Very colorful and a lot to look at. There weren't many people there for a Friday at lunch time but I was ok with that. We didn't have to yell to speak to each other! The food and drinks were top notch. The house margarita and the jalepeno margarita were just perfect. The service staff was great. Bright, colorful decor for an excellent ambiance; variety of top-notch food dishes; and friendly staff to boot. Great place for Mexican fare. Stopped in for an early dinner about 4:30 in late September (yeah, it's a late review, deal w/ it). The inside was splattered with a vibrancy of color, I don't think there was one spot of white anywhere. We all loved it. Their murals, the artwork, the detailed seating, masks, there was so much to look at it took us forever to decide on what to order. Our server was a young gentleman (I lost the receipt so cannot remember his name) but he was polite, friendly, and attentive. I have tried their pollo a la creama, veggie platter, chicken fajitas. The quantity is a lot for one person. The presentation great, but the food is just average. I went here for my birthday mainly due to the margaritas I see floating around on social media. Now, those did not disappoint at all! They even came with sparklers for the 4th of July holiday. The flavors are raspberry, blackberry, cucumber, and mango. Surprisingly, the cucumber one was my favorite but they were are tasty. And they were blended, not on the rocks. For food, I got a mediana combo which is 2 items with beans and rice. I got a shredded beef chimichanga and a chicken flauta. Both were good but needed sour cream or guacamole or sauce or something. The thing about this place is literally everything costs extra so I didn't order any of the stuff that is usually included with a combo. My friend had the carne plate which was good but a small portion for the price they charge. I got cheese nachos for my son, the chips were burnt and the chicken strips and fries meal for my daughter. The chicken in the kids meal is some kind of patty that is cut up into thin pieces. It was overcooked and weird. The prices don't match the portions or quality of food but the margaritas are divine.
