It's Taco Tuesday, so I stayed local and explored my new neighborhood, a small mom & pop restaurant, quiet and peaceful for the family to spend the night out, the restaurant, it's hidden within the strip of Ashford Ave. Plenty of parking plus many other shops to eat. Inside has alot of decoration, gives you the feel for the their culture. The service is fast & quick . You will eat in peace , with little /mild noise . Their margaritas will give u a buzz. Thank you so much to everyone working at Fiesta Mexico. Our food was absolutely delicious! We ordered the chicken taco & the chicken and steak fajitas! 10/10 I would recommend! The chicken and steak are super well seasoned. I'm reading through previous reviews & they sound arrogant. The hostess and the server were attentive & our food came out in a timely manner. We did order a pitcher of sangria (skeptical at first) but it did the job ;) the ambiance is incredibly Mexican themed which was more welcoming. Have been passing by this place for a while and wanted to finally give it a try. The three stars are based on food and service combined. The service was great and the waiter was very nice, however I was very disappointed by the food. The enchiladas were pretty cold even though he warned me about the hot plate. The green sauce on the enchiladas was not favorite and was very bitter. I would love to go back to try a different option. The tortilla soup was pretty tasty. read more

So happy I found this spot. Came here from visiting Mercy College which is 9 minutes away from the school. I was greeted right away by a very nice lady and seated quickly. Lots of selection in the menu from burritos, enchiladas, chimichanga, quesadilla etc. I am sure you will find something to your heart's content. Got the guacamole which is made in front of you. You can choose from mild, medium and spicy. Rest assured, I got spicy, you know me, I like it hot! For my entree, got the burrito poblano which is dosed with mole sauce. The mole was made just right! It was very tasty and I really liked it! Also got a pina colada and boy I was not disappointed! Only sad thing is Fiesta Mexico is not close to my house. If it was, I would surely be back! read more

I have no idea how Fiesta Mexico got its name, but I can see why when I went inside. This colorful treasure in Ardsley has a lot of flair with popping orange walls and a welcoming Aztec Sun Stone painting. But the Frida Kahlo painting closed the deal. (Actually... Shrimp Tacos did) Fiesta has a loyal following for their traditional dishes like tacos, burritos, fajitas, enchiladas, chiles relleno (plus more). I don't recall how adventurous their menu is and whether or not these folks offer Lengua, Lamb, etc- but the menu is mostly standard protein offerings featuring seafood, chicken, beef and pork. Although most of the meals are made with meat, I'm sure some dishes can be served as Vegan. And by the way- there's a Vegetarian menu. It was a take out evening and decided on Agua de Tamarindo while I waited for my meal. FYI- Fiesta doesn't have Shrimp Tacos listed- and mine were made to order. Muchisimas Gracias!!! Service was so, so friendly with a smile every time. Damage? Total bill $23 and change for my two items (w/ a tip on the side). But $17.95 for the 3 Shrimp Tacos-rice-frijole meal (I skipped the frijoles) then divide that in 3- was more than I wanted to spend per Taco. But to their defense, when I got home I noticed why. Because those suckers were freaking piled high with juicy and Garlicky Shrimp on 2-ply corn tortillas. Oh and I almost forgot... you get complimentary Chips & Salsa. This is my favorite Mexican restaurant. Food is really good. I love how it's never feels loud here even when tables are full. Perhaps their interior decorator was good at designing a space to keep noise level down. Cons is... yes, like everyone is writing parking is a hassle. But once you are inside, you are greeted by friendly venue owner and a friendly staff and feel completely at home. The place is nice and cosy, quiet, has cute decor and atmosphere. So far we've been lucky with parking. If you are craving for good Mexican food and want to relax after a hard workday, it's definitely worth a few blocks of walking. :) read more

Delicious authentic Mexican food. They give you a fabulous bean dip along with the traditional fresh salsa for their chips when you sit. I do not usually like Mole sauce but my bf ordered it and it was delish! The gentleman serving us was sweet and attentive. You can also order what they call "combinations" and try multiple dishes at once which was a plus for me. If you haven't been here... go try it out! read more

What an unexpected treasure! We came here for a family event. Not being from the area, didn't know anything about the place. Family run place with great attention to detail. We had 12 in our party and the service was quick and attentive. The food was completely made from fresh ingredients. Did not taste any pre-made items on this menu. I have come here many times but this is my first review. This restaurant has delicious fresh Mexican food, authentic favorites as well as Tex Mex standards. The Mole poblano is great over enchiladas or pechuga de pollo. Anything with chicken is white meat chicken and flavorful. Shredded beef too. Delicious sops de frijoles negros. Lunch menu is pared down and prices under ten bucks. Crispy fresh chips and chunky fresh pico de Gallo salsa. Not too hot. Refried beans are hot in temperature unlike some other places where they are lukewarm or cold. Great! Very friendly man brought us food. It's is excellently prepared and price is right. Just excellent Mexican. Not fake Mexican doused with velveeta and sopaipillas but not so exotic and authentic dishes that you see popping up around westchester with ingredients like huitlacoches, chiles en nogada and pollo en pipian. I love the truly authentic too having lived in Mexico, but sometimes you want something more middle of the road. Dishes you recognize since the mid nineties. No pretense. And No velveeta. We are fans of Mexican food and have two favorite places but were feeling adventurous and wanted to try someplace new. After reading the great reviews of Fiesta Mexico, we decided to give it a try. What a disappointment! The food is not bad, but it's not good either. Firstly, my cocktail was light on the tequila. The guacamole, made at the table, was bland. We found our entrees to be bland as well. I ordered one of the combo platters and was surprised that sour cream, guac, and pico de gallo were not included. Wow, how can I state this place is awesome. I have lived in Ardsley for 5 years and never knew about this place! Just to give u an idea of who is reviewing this place. I have eaten in top resorts around the world and some of the best in mexico, queens (you'd be suprised at the quality mexican places here), san diego and manhattan as far as mexican food goes. I was breezing through Westchester Magazine and saw a blip on this place stated as an editors and people's favorite, so I became curious. There was virtually noone on yelp giving this place a review, so I'm doing it. This unsuspecting, restaurant has a lot more to offer than its appearance. Yes, it looks like a dated chinese restaurant in the inside but don't sleep on this place it is GOOD! So, I had fresh table side guacamole made to my liking and a separate way for my wife. It was very good, with a little extra salt. Now, to my suprise. I was amazed by the chicken burrito. Before this place my favorite chicken burritos was from san diego, Tacos Tacos in VT, and my favorite mexican restaurants in mexico. I was eating at tomatillos for a while but no more my friends. This place takes the cake. There chicken burrito is amazing! better then all that I have had. I also got a side of habanero's (? Spelling) peppers to give it that extra kick along with the house made hot sauce on the side to. Well, with or without the peppers or hot sauce this burrito is a big meal and it tastes amazing. Not only was the burrito so delightful but the rice was very very good as well, and I hate rice. My wife had the camorones al ajillo (shrimps with garlic and fiesta secret sauce) Whatever is in the secret sauce is very very good. The dish was so tasty. My wife and I also loved the starter bean dip that comes with the chips so she ordered an order of corn tortilla's (mexican style not flour) and made little tacos with it. MMMMMM. We were completely full at this point but said hey, we should get dessert at least once. make it a trifecta. We got the tres leche's cake and it was good. It was not nearly as sweet as I have had and in Herradura and a million other places but was very light tasting and refreshing. I would like to try the flan next time but it was worth it. (Rivera Bakehouse is my personal favorite for tres leche's but its only in a whole cake) Don't sleep on this place. If you want AUTHENTIC MEXICAN, Look no further, its right here in the heart of ARDSLEY, Yes Ardsley! saw mill south to ardsley, make a quick left after the exit towards the light (left at light on Ashford Ave), then over the saw mill and make a sharp left in the very first mini shopping center Tomatillo's, La Herradura and all the places in Port Chester are nice, but this is my favorite. read more

A little torn about this place. The food is actually really good, but the service was ungodly slow. I'm not sure if this is a normal occurrence, but we went on a Friday night and when we were seated, half the restaurant was full. A few tables came in after us. It became really apparent that they were understaffed and overwhelmed with orders (both takeout and in the restaurant). We got drinks but no one took our order until we had been there for at least half an hour. Thank God they give chips and salsa because we may have starved. Almost all the tables that came after us ended up leaving. Once the rush slowed, the service picked up a bit. If we weren't drinking and enjoying conversation, we may have also left without eating. When the food finally came it really was delicious. All in all, if you have the time to wait, this place is definitely worth trying once. read more

Read some good reviews so went in with the family and the host tried to seat us at a table with two big buckets of dirty water under it. We tried to sit elsewhere but he insisted, saying that the other tables where unavailable. So I started yelling -- mostly out of shock -- and the buckets were taken away. We waited a good 10 minutes before being given menus, with children seemed like half of eternity. While waiting for our food a waitress was setting a table and sneezed forcefully over it. Hey, I understand that sneezing attacks happen but she made no effort to replace the sneezed-on plates and silverware. Yikes! Glad I wasn't at that table but scared to think what might have transpired before we sat down at ours. Oh wait yeah, those two buckets of brown water. Food itself is mediocre, pretty much like all NY Mexican. It was served quickly and the mole on the enchilada was actually pretty good. So I was looking for authentic Mexican food. Sad to say this was not it. As I looked through the menu I saw a lot of Mexican food that was missing, but I thought to myself hmmmmm. This place has a lot of good reviews maybe I'm just being picky. Well I have to say that the delivery was quick, a lot faster than the estimated time as far as the food goes I'll just say it's not catered to Mexicans or people that are looking for traditional authentic Mexican food. This was our first and.last time we will go to Fiesta Mexico. Service was slow. Sangria was too sweet. I ordered a steak medium well and it was medium rare.It came with a roasted cactus which was slimy. My daughter ordered a medium rare steak and her's was so rare and so fatty that she couldn't eat it. My husband's shrimp was undercooked. Guac was bland. read more

Cons: It's in that small dead end strip mall in Ardsley where's it's almost impossible to get parking, so you sometimes have to park down the street and walk. Pros: Very good Mexican food, and worth the hassle, especially if you're just picking up. This is a nice little restaurant, and the owner will do anything he can to make you happy with the order, albeit he's a very serious man that doesn't smile much. But the food is really great, especially if you like mole sauce like I do. The Mariscada Cozumel (Seafood with green sauce) is very good, as is the Chicken Enchiladas Poblano, my favorite. The service is very good, I live in the neighborhood and eat there regularly and they treat everyone well. They are not racist as a previous disrespectful person said. You always have haters. Some dishes may seem bland but they're actually culturally original and correct. Problem is that maybe too many have been accustomed to overly spiced commercial "so called" restaurant food. We moved from Queens, Ny to Hastings in December and were trying to find a good Mexican spot & found this on yelp one night & it has been our fav spot in Westchester. We've brought friends and family and they all love it!! It is real authentic Mexican food which is really hard to find anywhere. Customer service is great and it's not super expensive. Somewhat of a mixed bag but overall positive. The service is prompt and efficient, but there is little enthusiasm among the sloppily-dressed staff. It's almost as if they don't care if you're there. Atmosphere is meh. We had a plain frozen margarita and a margarita on the rocks. The frozen margarita was truly awful, while the margarita on the rocks was very good. We sent back the frozen margarita, and they promptly replaced it with one on the rocks. Prices are cheap! We ordered the shrimp and vegetable fajita, and the skirt steak fajita. Both were excellent with really fresh ingredients. The waiter goofed by not asking me how I liked my steak cooked (medium rare). It came medium well, but it didn't matter because it tasted so good and melted in my mouth. The side order of guacamole was a really nice touch. Prices of entrees are also very reasonable So if you don't mind blah service and meh atmosphere, don't order the plain frozen margarita, order the fajitas we ordered, and like reasonable prices, you will enjoy this restaurant. read more
