Even a five-star restaurant makes mistakes. ALL ethical businesses from a food truck to a five-star restaurant take responsibility for their failures. Fiesta Mexico, however, does not. While entertaining out-of-town guests, we ordered from here. The "crab quesadilla" looked at like a stale pita left on a sidewalk that someone vomited on. It was burned around the corners and definitely not a quesadilla. Being a business owner myself, I am quite empathic to the occasional error. However the ethical business refunds the customer, apologizes, and offers incentive to for the disappointed customer to patronize one's business again. The rest of the food smelled stale and we were afraid to eat it. We threw it away and ordered elsewhere. Well we should have filed a complaint with the health department and the Better Business Bureau. YELP and karma, however, will take care of this dreadful place. STAY AWAY! read more

I ordered a classic Burrito and got REALLY disappointed when the server brought out my plate. Their burrito is different than any other burrito I've ever seen. It's exactly like an enchilada. There is no rice, beans, guacamole, salsa, etc inside it. It's ONLY meat, or whatever other flavor you pick. Mine had literally ground beef only. It comes on a plate covered in a lot of tomato sauce and cheese. You def can't eat with your hands because it's very soft. Really, not a burrito at all!!! read more

I have been to this location twice now - the first time was after I got married at the District Magistrate and with a group of family. This past weekend My wife and I decided to avoid fast food and stopped in. They had signs up with specials for cinco de mayo. The two listed that we decided to were Crab Enchiladas and Fish Tacos - both were reasonably priced - 8.95 and 6.75 respectively. I ordered a Tecate and it came with a lime in the bottle neck, so I asked for a glass and they returned promptly with a mug. Before I go on I will mention that I was told the owner also owns El Rodeo on RT 30, which is the place I was using as point of reference for comparison. I like the layout - it seems mor spacious with a few separate seating areas -booths, tables for two and long group tables with a nice window with view of half the parking lot. They have a small bar in the back toward the kitchen area too. There was a server that appeared to be receiving training, but it did not delay anything our food came out hot within minutes. I asked for hot sauce and was handed two bottles -one pepper sauce and one habanero sauce which was nice for the choice. I tasted my wife's crab enchilada which tasted like a crab cake sliced up, put into a tortilla and covered with cheese sauce. It tastes better than it sounds, but the filler (breading, red pepper) was an unnecessary addition. I enjoyed the cold beer and fish tacos with some habanero sauce mixed in to the rice which was cooked very well - nice and fluffy with great texure. We picked up a gift card for my father in law's birthday too, so it was very convenient. I prefer Fiesta Mexico slightly to El Rodeo, but have considered both to be better than average service wise and the food is good too. read more

So on food alone, Fiesta Mexico rates a 3-- however, their service is so fantastic that I have to bump them up to a 4. They have the friendliest servers who are super patient, attentive, and helpful. The food is good, not the best Mexican I've ever had but surely not the worst. I'm pretty boring when it comes to ordering at these kinds of places (tacos + beans, por favor), but I've dined with others who have enjoyed slightly more sophisticated options. I would definitely say Fiesta Mexico is the best Mexican joint in York. Does it compare to something you'd eat in South Texas? Heck no. But I certainly don't expect it to. Fiesta Mexico also offers a lot of promotions/discounts-- most recently a $4.99 lunch deal. Their beers are also incredibly inexpensive, at least compared to the price tag I'm used to seeing for Dos Equis. I've been there more than once where a group of 3 has dined, with beers, for less than $45. That, in my book, is a deal. read more

Although some of the menu items have the same names you can always taste when there is love and pride in the food. -This is the first time I ever saw advertising on a Pint Glass... kinda similar to the old advertising on the place mat but on the pint. -Queso Fundido. Please, just order it... do not think about it or what it will do. This would be one of the last meal dishes everyone thinks about. It is simply amazing -Jarritos (What soda is supposed to be) "The Meh" The limit of two baskets of chips. Yeah you need to save room for the fantastic food, but with the people I hang with those chips will not stand a chance. We've passed Fiesta Mexico plenty of times and finally got to try it out this week. The decor looks pretty similar to El Rodero's, which makes perfect sense if they're owned by the same person as the other review indicates. We were greeted warmly and seated right away. I'm personally on again, off again about Mexico food and usually need to be in the mood to dig in. Sadly this mood only comes around once in a long, long time. At Fiesta Mexico I finally found something that I can always eat - the fish tacos. I've been to Fiesta Mexico twice so far and had it both times, I just couldn't resist it. The fish, according to a friend, is a battered and fried haddock. The taco is very simply done - a bit of lettuce and loaded with fish and pico de gallo. My boyfriend had the Chile Colorado and Chile Verde and said both were good, although the Colorado won out. The rest of the menu looks pretty interesting as well and I hope to have many trips back to sample them all! read more

So disappointed! This used to be one of our favorite family places, but we won't be back. When we arrived, I noticed an application for a liquor license transfer to a new owner. I was a little worried that things might have changed and I was right to be concerned. The salsa was so spicy, we couldn't eat it. We asked for a more mild one and received a version of a marinara sauce that was warm. The queso fundido was a shell of its former self. The rice, which is my daughter's favorite, was bland. I ordered the carne asada tacos and my boyfriend the Hawaiian fajitas both were fresh made to order delicious food! My steak (carne asada) was tender just like the menu said and the refried beans very good!! My boyfriend who is very picky actually liked it and said he would come back! Ordered food to be delivered and was missing half my order. Called and was asked to hold and spent 5 minutes listening to nothing but noise from what I am assuming was the kitchen. Hung up and tried to call back and got a message saying the phone number was not in service. Went here on a random Friday night because we were in the area and it was recommended. My first impression from the outside was this was a former fast food restaurant. Inside however was another story. It was nicely redone with separate dining areas with arches, authentic Mexican décor, and tables like I've seen no where else. I liked the variety of the menu although some things were listed several times, which I found is pretty typical with ethnic restaurants. Our order came out super fast, was fresh, and very tasty. We were pleased with the meal overall. If I had to list a negative it would be that the waiter was hard to understand and we had to get someone else to look for him so we could get our check. The horchata was also a little too milk flavored then what I am used to. Overall a very good meal for the price, we'd go back if we are back that way again at mealtime. read more

I love Mexican food was very pleased with all the choices only critics was unlike most other places there was no sauce on the inside of the enchiladas leaving them to seem very dry and a little salt and pepper while cooking the meats couldn't hurt but the flavors in sauces on the outside and the chip and salsa where very good with just a little tweeking here and there could be 5 stars all the way. The waitress was nice enough but she could have asked if we needed anything because we did I had to get up and find her but overall I will give it another on the food alone asking them to put sauce into the dishes not just on them. After eating the same two meals for years (taco trio...I get all chicken or the chicken fajita) I've decided to try some different entrees. I had the chicken mole (shredded chicken with a dark, mild sauce) recently and I loved it. I normally go for hot/spicy but this was a refreshing change. Next visit I tried the chicken enchiladas with poblano sauce (another mild dark sauce.) YUM! Many people will not try Mexican food because they can't handle spicy. Fear not!
