Stopped by while I'm out in the Rockford area and this was a wonderful place. I came fairly close to closing so it was pretty much empty but the food was amazing, the margarita was great and the service was awesome. I would have given 5 stars; however, do to the fact that they charged me to remake my child's chicken and fries without the "white cheese glaze" that was put all over a kids menu fries and chicken, I am giving a 3 star review. This is a new business, they just lost a customer because of this first impression of charging for the plate that was not to the likening of the patron. The waiter should have returned the plate and "compt" the dish. But instead told me that they would charge me 2x's. No apology and also, the menu for this dish did not detail the fact that there would be this "cheese sauce" drizzled all over the chicken and fries. I ordered 6 tacos with rice and beans. I asked if the tacos were a good size and not small. The lady at the register told me they were medium. Upon opening them at home I found out they were small!!!! I paid $22 for small tacos? Never again. Most places charge 2.50 not 3.50 especially for the size. read more

I raved about this place a year ago. Unfortunately my husband and I will ever eat here again. We had a bad experience a few months ago, but we decided to give it a second chance. Tonight, after we were seated, we waited 10 minutes for someone to give us any service. When they did, we ordered our drinks and food at the same time. We received our drinks, but after 40 minutes, we still had not received our food. My husband went to find our server and told her we had to be somewhere and needed to leave soon. I went back to Fiesta T and tried something different!!!! I looove fried boned fish, and they have it omg omg!!!! Honestly I thought it was going to be a small fish but I was seriously wrong!!!! The fish took up half my plate!!!!! I can't tell you enough how good it was!!! It was like being on a camp, frying and eating caught fish from the lake!!! Everything about it was awesome!!!! Worst place ever! Food was mediocre at best! Spent $40, on lunch. Ordered a queso appetizer, a small order of guacamole, and two entrees. Got back to work and realized they forgot to put my chips to go with the queso in the bag so I called only to be told that chips are sold separate! I order guacamole and queso!!! What do you eat them with if not chips? I wasn't told this when I initially placed my order nor was I given any option other than to come back and buy chips! Interior very nice - clean, well maintained, and recently remodeled. Loved the ornately carved and painted furniture. Service was friendly, although slow, very slow. Food was excellent. The seafood chimichanga was outstanding - loaded with mixed seafood, and covered with any excellent cheese sauce. And the seafood quesadilla was indeed gigantic - made with a 12 inch tortilla. Nope! Skip it! The worst! Waited an hour and didn't get the last plate until after we'd paid. Salsa tastes like puréed tomatoes. Expensive and salty. Understaffed and disorganized. Service was terrible the food all tasted the same. We stopped in on May 5th. Had to wave down a waitress after 30 + mins of waiting. Waited 20 + mins for our drinks...waited so long for our waitress I had to go to bar (again no service).. and order another round... Ordered appetizers which we had to remind the waitress of... The restaurant was maybe at 35% cap. My wife saw our waitress outside laughing and having a good old time outside while we waited for drinks and service. My dinner was doused with at least 1/2 cup of some kind of white liquid sauce I later found out to be a watery cheese sauce... it was on everything from salad to rice to beans. My guest's tacos had to be DRAINED before he could try and eat them. My wife's order came after so late that we refused her meal.. which by the way came as follows.. first a plate of beans.. than a plate of rice and 10 mins later her taco. Not one of us finished our meal. Our tab was $50. I would of left without paying but my guests insisted. I welcome Fiesta to invite us back to change my review. I KNOW they will recognize us... on the way out I tried to comment on our experience all I got was a smile and a wave from what looked to be a female manager and host. No explanation or apology. Got all orders wrong. Waited sooo long. Enchiladas are weird, sauce is spicy. Prices were weird. The server doesn't understand English very well but yet is a server in an English speaking area. Bathroom door didn't lock and the toilet paper isn't displayed sanitarily. Never wanna experience this again. :( read more

Started off with tasty Sala and fresh chips accompanied with $3.99 homemade margaritas/my wife loves the flavors but they also have original. I ordered The Grande Wich is a combination of everything they offer and my wife got the Seafood Chimachangas/we both enjoyed it meals and even brought some home!! Had a fantastic lunch here! You get the complimentary chips and salsa and the salsa is delicious...very fresh! There is a lot to choose from on the menu and we opted for the three tacos and beans and rice which all were delicious!! I had one Carnitas, one steak and one chorizo taco. Ordered food while i was at work to pick up on my supper break. Went and picked up the food at the allotted time and left. got back to work to discover the order wasn't mine. So I had to leave work again, lose pay to bring the order back to the restaurant(m which has happened twice before). Yes i should have learn to check by now but i was in a hurry, i did check the check the second order to make sure it was right, there were no chips for the queso dip. I haver ordered from them in the past and have always gotten chips. When i told the person working he told me i was wrong that they never gave chips with queso dip. I said every time i ordered it in the past it had chips. He said that because we used to give chips and salsa with every order and we don't now. I said what do i eat the queso with? He said you can buy chips.... 3.87 for a tiny container of queso with no chips so I said I am missing work and pay to come back because you gave me the wrong order and you are telling me I have to buy chips????? That's brilliant customer service. I wont say not to go to the place, If you want poor customer service and large portions of mediocre food and recently elevated prices, than this is your place! Seems like a very underrated place. Went on a Saturday evening and it was not crowded. Server Diana was so pleasant and efficient giving us good attention but not hovering. My mixed fajita platter, which is my go-to nearly everywhere, was flavorful and not dried out. My friends raved about their chicken dishes (pollo supremo and norteno) and their excellent sauces. Margaritas were generous and delicious. Decoration and ambiance was bold and folky, colorful, happy, and Mexican--we loved it. This place seems like a hidden gem, and also like a nice family working hard to make a living by preparing and serving great food. Will be back--can't wait to try more. read more

I am so happy that this restaurant is finally open! We need more restaurant options on the west side of town. The salsa and chips were outstanding. We also ordered the guacamole which was seasoned just right. Our entrees were delicious. The menu has a lot of selections and they offer a "build your own combo" with two or three items plus rice and beans. We ordered beers, but watched as the bartender created lots of different cocktails that we will try in the future. The service was good and prices were very fair. I was looking for a new Mexican restaurant and was so disappointed. The food was of poor quality. The margaritas were warm the chips seemed generic. I ordered the Quesadilla Del Rey I've never had this before but it sounded good on the menu but it arrived I opened it up to see raw bacon raw shrimp a lot of fat just made me sick to even look at it. I sent it back and got a steak taco that was saturated in oil didn't eat that either. When we got our bill actually gave us someone else's bill that said we ordered three pictures of beer in a bunch of food that we didn't have. I would not recommend this place to anyone. read more

Attended a party there 2/23/19. We had about 40 people. Owner was called a few weeks in advance so they were well aware that we were coming. It took 45 minutes before my wife and I were even given menus, at that time some people in our group were already finished eating. When we ordered it took addition 20 minutes to get drinks (had to remind staff multiple times to get us our drinks). Ordered Guacamole that was brought after 30 minutes with no chips. 75 minutes after ordering our food arrived and was average at best. Overall we had a good time because of the party but service poor, food fair. read more

Found this online and stopped for dinner when vacationing in Rockford. Pleasantly surprised by the tasty food. We had rib steak and pork. Both were better than the Mexican place we used to go in Chicago. Dinner for two for $30 including 18% tip. Best meal best value. Service was excellent as well! read more

Went here for lunch. Very clean, staff is very friendly. The free chips and salsa were great and we were asked if we wanted more. My husband had the pork tacos that were on special, which he said were very good and flavorful. They also came with rice and beans and the serving size was generous. I had Pollo Asado with the corn tortillas which was good. It also came with rice and guacamole salad . I felt we got more than enough food for the price and we wanted to have dessert but were too full. They have Pepsi products for fountain drinks, and we prefer Coke. You can get Coke from Mexico here which is my preference anyway. It's made with sugar instead of corn syrup and comes in a glass bottle. Love it, but they do charge you $3.00 a bottle! This was a very disappointing visit. There was a large party in the big dining area that took every staff members attention. We waited to be seated and the waited 30 minutes for the meal....which was not pleasant....it was as if nothing had any flavor.....our waitress was just non existent. I have never not left a tip before but felt nothing was worth tiping for. Could not get waitress to even give us our bill to pay.....once we got it...it was annoying to have to pay full price for less than zero service and food. read more

GOURMET MEXICAN COMFORT FOOD! Why isn't this place packed? My husband and I found this place several months ago (I believe it is under new ownership within the past year). All I can say is, OMG - the food is to "die for".  Along with all the usual Mexican items there are many creative dishes on the menu that I have never seen in a Mexican restaurant. The two dishes my husband and I keep returning to are truly Gourmet creations - Pollo Norteno "Grilled seasoned chicken breast with 6 (Jumbo) sauteed shrimp and onions topped with pineapple slices and cherries drizzled with melted cheese" and Pollo Supremo "Chicken and onions simmered in creamy mushroom sauce". Both dishes are served with rice, beans and tortillas and the Supremo includes a guacamole salad. Last night we took a friend from out of town who travels to Mexico frequently and he was blown away with the Fajita Steak & Chicken Mix (also served with guacamole, pico de gallo, beans, rice and tortillas) - said it was the most flavorful he's ever had. The portions are huge, beautifully presented and reasonably priced with many reduced price specials daily. We are red wine drinkers and the house wine is respectable and priced at an unbelievable $4 for a 7 oz glass - and frequently goes on sale for $2!! Our friend had a Margarita which was huge and pronounced "excellent". Our pretty waitress, Diana, who's waited on us several times, was very competent and friendly - as the whole place seems to be.
