Fig and pig pizza (swapped mascarpone for goat cheese)

Don't go if you're in a hurry, the food was not quick to arrive. However, everything we ate was absolutely delicious and our server was lovely! We got the Brussels sprouts appetizer, the fig and pig pizza (I swapped goat cheese for the mascarpone), and the wood fired crab Devonshire with bacon and cheddar sauced tots. I would definitely recommend sitting outside and having a relaxed meal here

My friend and I realized we both love Bourbon so we were so tickled to find in their massive book of whiskey selections, a bourbon flight to try from Jefferson distillery. We shared a lovely app of toasted sourdough with goat cheese and carmelized apples along with a pear salad( which was delicious even though the dressing looked unappetizing) and a BBQ chicken pizza. The pizza was incredibly salty and the BBQ was overpowering. It would have benefited from something fresh sprinkled on it ( arugula?). The bourbons were so good. Our fav was the very old small batch bourbon. Of course the most expensive. The vibe was warm and cozy with live music in the front and the lighting was comfortably dim. Our server was so friendly and patient with us as we sat for a long time chatting and ordering one more thing, one more thing. I will def go back.

My husband and I stopped her Friday night because we wanted a wood fire pizza and a beer. Man did they not disappoint. The pizza tasted amazing. Great sauce, and fresh toppings. Hand tossed crust. Great selection of beer and tons of different whiskey as well. Stop in and try one of their wonderful pizzas.

Awesome spot for a nice brunch meal! We went early after opening and it was so cool inside. The bar is old library shelves covered in different liquors. We ordered a mimosa flight which was fun to pick different juices to customize our drinks. Food was very delicious and came out quick. Service was alittle on the slower side given the fact we were only one of few couples there. But other than that it was a fun and different spot to try!

Food and drinks were good, the atmosphere though is what made us go back again a second time the same day! Such a cool place to eat or to just have a drink. Came here for drinks before a show and came back after the show to eat a late dinner. Our server was amazing, the place was full but he checked on us quite often. My husband wants to go back asap!

This was my first time to Fig & Barrel and I absolutely loved it!!! My daughter asked me to meet her there for a lunch date and I'm so glad we did!!! Just love the vibe, casual and cozy! I believe our server's name was Kyle, he provided us with such great service!!! Answered all of my questions about the menu and allowed me to add a few things to my pizza to create my own. Kyle was very attentive and so nice to talk to!!! Our food was absolutely delicious! I would love to go back on a Friday or Saturday evening, it was recommended to have reservations on those evenings. If you are a whisky/bourbon lover, they have over 200 selections, they also have a cocktail and wine list. I will definitely be back!

This is downtown York Pa and the restaurant was absolutely beautiful. The interior was modern which had a nice atheistic feeling. We had Kyle who was amazing, fast, funny and attentive. Great job Kyle. The food is the winner here. I had Gumbo which was spicy but nothing over the top. Great flavor and done right. My wife and I shared a fig and prosciutto wood oven pizza. Damn!!! This was awesome the mixture of ingredients was a surprise as it was both salty and sweet! A must order. Will be back again for sure.

Fun bar, first time having drinks only here. bartender made me a pretty smooth old fashion and my hubby got a Pineapple upside down drink that was also pretty tasty. Would love to go back and try the food they have to offer Great service

Stopped in while we were in the area and heard this was a great place for a late bite and cocktail. The service started off great but then took a turn and it took 10 mins to get water and close our tab. It did get busy but there were only 2 people working the bar. We had slices of pizza that were good. I would definitely give then another try because the vibe seemed cool.

The location is in a business district attached to other shops, and when we visited it was pretty quiet just a handful of other people inside. The space itself is much larger than it looks from the outside. We sat at the bar, which was comfortable and easy. We ordered drinks, shared a crab pretzel, and each had a Caesar salad. My margarita was very tequila-forward not subtle, but honestly fine if you like tequila (I do). The crab pretzel was good, though the crab dip could've used more Old Bay to really bring it home. That said, the Caesar salad was the standout absolutely delicious and easily the best thing we ordered. Pricing felt fair. My bill was $55.01 for two side Caesar salads, a shared crab pretzel, and two drinks. For two people, that's pretty average and reasonable for the area. Everything we had was good and the experience was pleasant overall.

The last visit we sat for 25 minutes and no one came to our table for a drink order or to even acknowledge us. The wait staff were to busy talking to each other. Finally, my husband had enough, saw Christian at the host station cutting out what looked like bingo cards and told him we were leaving and he needed to check on the staff as we were not even approached at all. Christian said, "Ok. Sorry about that." We left. We went elsewhere after this discouragement until tonight we decided to give it one last shot. We were seated, acknowledged with a drink order. 10-15 minutes went by, no drinks. No sign of Amos, our waiter. I feel it is important to say that we are very patient people and the restaurant was not busy at all. No one was in the dining room. He finally brought our drinks and said there was an issue he had to deal with. We asked him if everything was OK and he said yes. He took our food order, and the food came out appropriately and tasted delicious. Then we waited and waited, and waited for another beer. He came back again and asked us if we wanted boxes. We waited and waited. By this time we were frustrated. We saw him bringing drinks to another table and walking toward us, stopping to ask if we needed anything. We said, "Did you forget about us?" He replied, "No. I was letting you eat a little more." my husband was irritated and said, "Boxes and the check too! This is ridiculous." The bar tender called over to us to ask politely if we wanted a bag for our boxes and told us to have a good evening. We are truly disappointed. The food and drinks are good, but the service continues to be less than par and this is big for us. We unfortunately will not be back. Sad, because this started off being such a great place when the new owner took over, but it is quickly failing at service.

If you don't enjoy whiskey this is still a great place to visit. I do recommend their old fashion and their midnight manhattan. We started with warm bread and butter. Best bread ever!! Then we tried the crab fries - fresh cut and cooked perfectly. Plenty of fresh crabmeat on top. We enjoyed the beef stroganoff- we added mushrooms - the beef was very tender. My husband doesn't like beef stroganoff but loved this. Finally, our server, Jayden, made our evening. She was so sweet and attentive. She really knew the menu and gave us some great recommendations. I hope her Dad gets to read these compliments because he really raised a wonderful human! We can't wait to visit the 1794 again and try some different menu items!

Came here for the first time for dinner with hubby. We orders the whiskey rings appetizer (I.e.,…read moreonion rings), trout, Wagyu steak, and a couple of beers. Total came out to approximately $99 (not including tip). What's hot - Menu. Fairly short and straightforward menu. There appears to be something for everyone, even possibly vegans (I.e., mostly salads). - Quality. The whiskey rings appetizer was delicious- lightly breaded, crispy, nicely seasoned, and a good dipping sauce. My trout was served hot and nicely seasoned, as well. Tender and moist. I would've liked the skin to be crispy. The main disappointment was the steak, which I address below. - Location. Fairly easy to find in town. They have a nice indoor seating area and seating on their front porch. Their outdoor seating area is very pleasant when the weather is nice. - Price. With the exception of the quality of the steak, which I address below, their food is good value for money. What's not - Quality. The Wagyu steak was a disappointment. They cooked it appropriately (my husband ordered it done medium), but the meat was not tender at all. Rather, it was tough despite it being cooked medium. Would not order it again and it makes me doubt the quality of the rest of their meats. - Service. My husband's main issue with their service is that the second round of drinks we ordered were full price, rather than the happy hour discount. He insisted with the wait staff that we ordered the second round right at the end of happy hour, but they did not accommodate his request. - Parking. There is street parking, but it's timed and metered. There are a couple parking lots nearby within a block's distance, but they're more expensive- approximately $5-$6/hr. If you're willing to walk a few blocks, there is free parking. - Reservations. It's probably dependent on the day and time you go, but it appears reservations may be better. We went for Friday dinner. The hostesses asked us if we had reservations, which we didn't. As such, they asked us if we prefer to be seated outdoors or at the bar. My point is to be prepared. Final answer Willing to return, but not a first choice.
