    Chicken Sandwich
    Josh T.

How nice to have a fresh, made to order, cafe located right inside the Luminarium. Fig boasts fresh bakery items daily, a coffee bar to quench your thirst, and a chef-inspired menu to enjoy lunch. While our group ordered quite a few things, I only tried their fried chicken sandwich and fries. This sandwich is a massive chicken filet that could be two sandwiches in one it's so big! Crispy, savory, and extremely filling! Whether you're visiting for the day, or just want a delicious lunch, make sure you stop by Fig. I can't wait to try more on their menu next time I'm at the Luminarium!

This is such a beautiful space! There are great views of the riverfront, and there is plenty of seating, including outdoor seating! It's an open kitchen and bar area so you can see the barista working hard. The menu is simple but most of the best coffee shops have a simple menu. They also had a number of pastries in the window available. that looked great. The Wi-Fi was reliable as I worked there while I enjoyed my vanilla latte. It was a little sweet, so next time I'd just ask for less syrup. Parking was also really easy, which usually can be an issue downtown, but they have plenty of parking for the Luminarium and playground area. The few things I would change would be comfier seating, slightly more affordable prices and mugs without such larger surface area (my latte got cold quickly). I honestly could have posted up to work from there all day and order multiple items, but with the hard seats and higher prices keeping me from order more, an hour or so was good for me. I do plan to return to try some of their food!

Had some amazing coffee this morning! I got an iced vanilla latte and it was so tasty! If you're looking for dozens of flavors this isn't the place for you, but if you're looking for quality coffee you should check it out. I've gotten food in the past and loved that as well. Beautiful on a nice day to go sit outside or walk around the river front or check out the luminarium.

Stopped in for my complimentary coffee from the "Omaha Places Passport", and we stayed for lunch! It is beautiful inside. I got the bowl and my husband got the burger. It is definitely on the more expensive side. For 2 entrees, my bowl had no protein, no drinks no sides it was $35! Nice to have this connected to the Kiewit Luminerium, and down on the riverfront! Does not take reservations. Is decently big with inside and outside seating. Complimentary parking!

Even though there is a lot of construction going on along the riverfront right now, this is worth a visit. Whether you eat inside in the light and beautiful dining area, or bring your drink and food outside to the patio, it's a delightful experience. Everyone was friendly and eager to serve. A great place to stop for a drink or a bite to eat after visiting the Luminarium next-door, playing volleyball in the sand volleyball pits nearby, or rollerskating in the skate ribbon. A great addition to all that's going on in downtown Omaha!

Spring and fall months, Fig offers a Supper Club one evening per month. During lovely weather, supper club is outside with a lovely view of the Missouri River. . You can sign up for Supper Club on Fig's website to reserve your seat. . Supper club is a multi- course family-style dinner. The table is one big long table and you sit with strangers who become your new supper friends. Last nights dinner theme was created by Fig Chef Tyler and Lola Chef Corina in a Central American theme. It was a multi-course dinner with wine pairing (additional charge). The stand out dishes for me was the beet citrus salad, so perfect for a late summer dinner. I loved the barbacoa and house made tortillas because the meat was luscious, perfectly seasoned and melted in my mouth. I adored the tres leche dessert too, and I normally don't love desserts (weird I know). . Super club is a delightful monthly event, and perfect for a special night out, and an experience with pure joy and happiness.

Came here solely from the name (also very convenient for walking the pathway to the pedestrian bridge). I prefer a warm feel to coffee shops, this was a little more sterile feeling. The coffee was not anything special, it wasnt bad but for the price I felt a little jipped. The pastries looked good! They get them sent in from a local bakery.

This place is so cute! I love the greenery all over the place. I got the vanilla latte which was really good. You can tell the quality of coffee and milk are really good. The service was good and my drink came out very quickly even though the place was busy. Can't wait to go back and try the food!

After walking around the Luminarium for a couple hours, we worked up an appetite and stopped in to get some pastries from their cafe (Lolas) because they're absolutely amazing and the views also didn't hurt. There's a plenty of variety of drinks and wine beer seltzers. There were a lot of folks dining in and I was envious of all the plates! with all the sunlight coming in it's an absolutely dreamy spot to come Work get a bite to eat and bonus to be near the luminarium. Before I could order I was greeted by two different baristas who were so friendly and smiley. Can't wait to come her for a real meal.

Dining area is spacious, airy, and clean.

We were "next door" visiting the Lewis & Clark Trail HQ; so Fig was a convenient lunch spot. It was a Monday and we had the place to ourselves. The food was good, although a bit pricey for the portions. We enjoyed the atmosphere and the views. Service was friendly and efficient.

I was visiting Omaha and wanted to try a good breakfast out there and found this spot. The food is not only good but it's next to the Missouri River so the views were amazing and it's right in the science museum as well! I really enjoyed the lox bagel and the zucchini bread so much, definitely worth the price and the staff here is so sweet too!

    Pastry choices.

Decided to stop at a small business to get coffee. And everything has been wonderful, it is my third stop. It is the best vanilla latte decaf with oat milk that I have ever had. They have a great menu with lunch: sandwiches soup and snacks and kids menu. Great selection of pastries, gluten-free and they are from Lola's. Service was great, drinks were made quickly and efficiently. Prices are very reasonable. Highly recommend to stop here and there is great outdoor seating. It's quiet and the outdoor seating has a fabulous view. You can sit inside, big windows to see the water. Relaxing atmosphere.

Terrible watered down "iced coffee". Overpriced and almost all the ice was melted.
    Leanna K.

Looks pretty. Maybe they'll get better once they're open longer. Asked for an iced coffee because it's 100 degrees today and clearly got hot coffee with ice dumped in. The coffee was obviously watered down and barely any ice. Only drinking it because it's so hot out. Had to ask for more ice just to make it cold! Asked for more ice and they added ice and randomly added more vanilla so now it's sweet water. I'm so confused at this point lol. Appreciate the gesture but I didn't ask/or want that. Ordered a sandwich and the bread was BURNED BLACK. Parents took all the crust off just so they could eat it. Why serve this? That's just lazy and low standards. Wouldn't come back. Overpriced in my opinion and I wouldn't have served any of this to a customer knowing it was going to be like this. Just tell us you're out or don't served iced coffee or burnt bread. I would've been understanding and went elsewhere. Waste of money.

That level of organization and customer care made a big difference. The exhibit itself was powerful and deeply educational, highlighting the history of the Green Book and the realities African American travelers faced during segregation. Through artifacts, photographs, and personal stories, it sparked meaningful conversations--especially among our younger visitors. I also really appreciate the museum's intentionality around inclusivity and programming. You can feel that it's a space designed to educate and welcome a wide range of audiences. The museum itself is on the smaller side, with exhibits primarily on the lower level, which actually made it manageable for our group to move through at different paces. My kids love the super long train you can walk through and the nearby play area. Practical perks matter too--there's plenty of parking (a huge plus), and they even offer umbrella strollers to borrow, which is incredibly thoughtful for families.
