Lemon Ricotta Pancakes, Side Two Egg Whites, Morning Meditation
    Toya C.

I had brunch with friends and we decided to sit outside. I used the app to get on the waitlist so when we arrived we didn't have to wait long to be seated. The food good, on par with the other locations. I ordered my usual lemon ricotta pancakes with scrambled egg white and morning meditation to drink.

My boyfriend got us takeout for breakfast from this First Watch location and it was delicious! I loved my strawberry tres leches french toast from the new spring menu, and paired it with one of their iced coffees, which was delicious and layered with caramel and cream. We have dined in here before and always have a pleasant experience with the staff, and it is light, airy, and open in this location. The sunlight and comfy booths make this a great dining spot in Boys Town.

Went to First Watch for my birthday breakfast. My husband and I were still full from our dinner the night before so we shared one of the fall specials, the maple bacon sandwich. It was on a croissant bun and had egg, sausage, bacon, and jalapeños. The sweet and spicy were the perfect blend. The kids ordered the kids chocolate pancake meal. They each got their own but only ate half so we probably could've ordered just one. My kids are 6 and 3 so if you have smaller kids ine pancake meal might be enough, the pancake is so big! First Watch is always a solid choice for breakfast!

My husband and I went to get brunch here on a late Wednesday morning when we were off work. There was no wait, so we were seated immediately and the service was great. I started my meal with the Pomegranate Sunrise, which was very sweet and not much flavor beyond that. I tried my husband's Cinnamon Toast Cereal Milk cocktail and preferred that a lot more. It did seem that the drinks were premade and jarred as we got them only a couple minutes after ordering them. For our meal, I got the Market Hash with over medium eggs and the strawberry tres leches French toast to share. My husband got the elote burrito and we ended up sharing everything. I liked the hash mostly due to the tang of the goat cheese, but it definitely needed more salt at the very least. The elote burrito was fine...it was good enough, but I don't see myself ordering it in the future. French toast was very good: the strawberry was the star here, but I'm still not sure what made it tres leches, so it was a bit of a miss on that point. Overall the service was the fantastic, but the food was a little hit or miss. I don't particularly see myself going back as there are other brunch places I prefer.

I came in with a few friends, and this was a great brunch! This was nothing fancy, just an average meal, but at a good price. It's a busy place that moves quickly, and we had good service. They have a big menu, so there's something for everyone. I would definitely return for a casual brunch date!

Chimichurri Steak & Eggs Million dollar bacon

Tasty Bloody Mary to start off. Hubby had the chimichurri steak & hash. He said it was amazing. I had b&g with eggs & home fries. It had good flavor but the potatoes were a bit mushy.(I like them crispy, these were soft) the gravy is thin and not enough to really cover the thick biscuit. Overall, great service. Will visit again when we come back to Omaha. They use recyclable to go boxes which is a plus!

Great brunch! I love that they gave me a whole pot of coffee with free refills. There were so many good options, but I had to try the shrimp and grits. They were deliciously creamy and cheesy!! I loved the roasted tomatoes and the big portion of shrimps and sausages. They were very packed, but the service was still quick and accurate. They have a great open air seating area and an outdoor seating area too.

We went to First Watch for breakfast this morning and while the visit had its high points, overall it fell short of expectations. We arrived around 10am on a Sunday and were pleasantly surprised to be seated after only about a 10-minute wait--definitely a nice surprise for weekend brunch hours. The space itself has a nice vibe: it was busy but not too loud, with high ceilings and lots of natural light that made it feel airy and open. Once we sat down, we were a bit disappointed to find out they don't make lattes and don't offer any flavored syrups for coffee, not even the standard vanilla or caramel, which was surprising for a breakfast spot. Our server greeted us shortly after we were seated and let us know she'd be with us soon--totally fine since we were catching up and not in a rush. She was great throughout the meal: super kind, attentive, and even apologized for the lack of coffee options while trying her best to offer alternatives (though nothing really compared). Huge shoutout to her--wish we had grabbed her name! For food, we shared the million dollar bacon which was tasty, but very sweet--more of a once-in-a-while treat. My partner had the biscuits and turkey gravy with scrambled eggs and potatoes, and I had the smoked salmon benedict, also with potatoes. Unfortunately, both of our meals were just kind of bland. The potatoes didn't seem to have any seasoning, and my eggs benedict was served on a long piece of soft ciabatta that turned mushy by the end. I wish it had been toasted. The poached eggs were oddly small, but at least they were cooked well. Overall, I'd probably recommend checking out other local spots for a more flavorful breakfast, but I'd be open to coming back and giving their fresh-pressed juices a try sometime.

First Watch has and always will be a staple for good breakfast and brunch food in Omaha! Our server today was so kind and knowledgeable about the menu. I typically go with the Bacado, and it is a perfect amount of food to make you feel full but not stuffed! I love all the healthy option pairings as well. A must if you driving through and need some fresh & delicious food!

I have always liked First Watch's food quality, no matter which location I have been to. This was my first visit to the 144th location next to Charleston's and Maghogany's Steakhouse. Parking was relatively easy and getting a table was pretty quick during the lunch hour. Service was slow with our server. He did apologize for the delay but made some minor errors with our food order. The eggs benedict is a good choice, no matter what time of the day it is ordered. Be cautious about the sides it comes with. If you forget, your server could make a unilateral decision on what sides you will receive instead of asking you first. Overall, it was a decent visit to this location.

    Million dollar bacon!

Attended the side opening at First Watch in boys town. Had the millionaire bacon that was tasty. Bacon had meet and cooked with a slight crisp. Had the Mexican chicken wrap with chorizo that was super yum. Tried a specialty drink, which they had three, that was good as well. The service was on point. Wife has a dairy/butter intolerance that they were very accommodating. Up beat atmosphere. Will be back!

In a good way, of course. She did allow me to share her Maple Braised Bacon (meaning that I was able to snatch a piece while she wasn't looking). Really, really fine, something I'd definitely order again. For me. Not to share. I had the Schnitzel Bennie with tart cherry jam and lemon hollandaise. Sound unusual? Tasted great! My only gripe was that the pork cutlet was a bit small and could have used a bit more seasoning in the breading. Would I order it again? You betcha! Service was fast and efficient. The decor was quirky and inviting but the space was loud enough that it was really hard to carry a conversation. Overall rating: yahoo!

My husband is a much harsher critic than I am, and he gave it a "rare 5.5 out of 5." The pancakes were some of the fluffiest I've ever had. They also have a great selection of coffee flavors to choose from, which was a fun bonus. The coffee paired perfectly with breakfast, though I probably wouldn't come here just for the coffee alone. The flavor was good but it did have a slight burnt taste. A quick note: you order at the counter before sitting down. It's a mix of self-serve and sit-down service. You order at the counter, grab your own silverware, and seat yourself, but they bring your food and drinks out to you (other than water). I do wish they were a bit more attentive about clearing finished plates during the meal. The restaurant was so busy that the line was out the door when we arrived, but it moved surprisingly fast. I was worried we wouldn't find a table, yet there were plenty of open seats available. The atmosphere is also really nice and cozy, making it a great spot to start your day.

Ok the other hand, the service is rather iffy & unpredictable. The chicken & waffles is my go-to for each visit, and they have many types of delicious sides to choose from, with my favorites being the biscuits & berries, goat cheese grits, and also the fried green tomatoes. I have zero problems with the food that they serve here, they always do an excellent job at preparing whatever they need to prepare & the portions are always satisfactory. As for the service, there are days where you will receive perfect service while on others the service is not so great. Some days you will be attended to in a timely manner, while there is other days where there isn't anyone available or willing to seat you somewhere. I've also experienced instances where they didn't attend to our table to take orders until I made a complaint. Most of these instances were during days where the place was virtually empty so it's not because of the place being busy. I've also ordered take out from here before, again some instances are perfect and there's other instances where they don't tell you if a certain food is out of stock via text or call so if you ordered something that isn't in stock, you're forced to wait for them to prepare something else once you arrive to pick up your order. They also don't always include syrup or butter in the takeout bags for chicken & waffles. One minor thing I'm also disappointed about is how the portion of grits has lessened over time, going from being served in a bowl to instead being served in a small cup/mug. Overall, I certainly don't return for the service because you never really know if it's going to be a good day or a bad day for that. It's always the food that brings me back. I do want to like this place, and I do to an extent but again the service is always unpredictable. I'd still say the food is worth coming here to see how it goes.

The dinner service manager is knowledgeable and passionate about the dining experience. When we ordered the radicchio salad, I was skeptical that it would be bitter, but was curious to try it. They were fairly busy, and honestly our food took a bit to come out, but I am still giving a five due to the overall experience and quality of service. Our server Melannie was fantastic and always present. We did the bottomless mimosa deal (3 out of 4 of us) and she was always coming around asking us what flavor we wanted next when our current was still half full to make sure we got our moneys worth. The champagne might not be the fanciest, but for $20 bottomless mimosas I'll take it. They have fun flavors in addition to the basic ones like strawberry, mango, etc. which adds an element of fun. For food--there were several things I was eyeballing but landed on the spicy chorizo Benny. It was really good, eggs cooked perfect, and came with hashbrowns. Another at our table got the poutine which also looked yummy. I'd say the food portion could have included a bread/toast option, however If brunching in Omaha i'd return to try several things on the menu. The vibe inside is chill, would be more fun sitting outside once the weather warms up. Since I was the one that booked the reservation, the tab got a bit confusing. At first they were taking it off my total, then the server said that hold would come off so I paid for my meal/drinks there. I did end up getting double charged (for both the reservation hold and my meal) which was cleared up with a quick phone call to their establishment---apparently it is a new process they are trying. I do understand though why they wouldn't want to just deduct the hold as then people that don't know how to tip wouldn't tip on the total, which hurts the server. All was cleared up regarding this mishap though so no complaints.

May 25th, 2026 Food:…read moreWaited a whole hour for an easy order... which was a mini charcuterie board with a plate of avocado toast... when it was served... it looked pretty and at first I didnt mind about the long wait, but I was disappointed because it tasted like it was made an hour ago but was barely being served to me a whole hour later.. so yeah.. not worth it and now I do mind.. a soggy toast isn't on my list.. Ambiance: It was a nice regular refreshing bar/brunch spot. But safety was a HUGE issue which is where I'll get to my point of this low rating. Service: Is negative zero a thing? That goes to the owner... the 1 star is for the decent service my server attended towards me. In unfortunate events it's not the servers fault.. but overall with the owner coming out, couldnt be anymore careless.. The Cause: Either the owner or a staff employee whomever that is responsible for setting up the patio umbrellas, and I mean those large heavy metal patio umbrellas, well, they failed to lock the pole of the umbrella and unfortunately the umbrella lifted and blew away and had hit a family in the face that were dining there also; instant noticeable bruising to the face... I was only a table away from them.. it could have been me too. I am disappointed in the lack of care in general that surrounded the scene. Little 5 ft me... was the only one that came to help while everyone else sat around and minded their own business... it took a long while until one of the staff noticed to help and then the owner came out and awkwardly said a one word-sorry and dipped... didnt come back to offer any hospitality, non-genuine and non-apologetic... it made me lose my appetite. They had the audacity to still charge the family their meal... but I had to tell these really nice folks to make sure they get comped back. It was sickening to me on how careless they were treated. I would never come back! I mean an exaggerating long wait, cold soggy food and careless hospitality from the owner himself. That's three major strikes. P.s. That same wknd.. the news showed up about a South Carolina woman that was struck by a patio umbrella and died on site... that says alot about lacking safety. Yes, search it up. It's real news.. Hope this help improves the business alertness. P.p.s. And although I was disappointed at this dining-bar overall... I still tipped my server a good $20 as the situation was out of their control, my server was still attentive towards me. They all just need social common courtesy in empathy and hospitality. But anyways, my lunch ended with bittersweetness with the family that got struck, they comped my whole meal for genuinely being the only one that was concerned for them. The only service I'm grateful for was that.
