Tried this place last night for the first time, been wanting to go for a while, we've known multiple that have gone here and told us we need to go. I grew up in central Florida, specifically Longwood, after last nights meal I have to say we're lucky to have a place like this in the Longwood area. I hate having to drive to winter park for good food, or worse, going to a chain steakhouse, rather give my money to a local business, if possible. We started off with a bottle of wine and the avocado crab appetizer. It was just ok, not that I wouldn't order it again or that it wasn't good. I just wish I would of ordered something else. Next we (my wife and i), split a Caesar salad, we order a Caesar salad everywhere we go. This is a top tier Caesar salad, dressing was awesome and my wife loved the croutons. Perfect amount of cheese and the portion was good for the price. I was at the Bull & Bear last year and paid $40 for a Caesar (yea never doing that again), this was better. I ordered the filet for dinner with the peppercorn Dijon sauce. This filet was elite, it's also served with vegetables and mashed potatoes, which were also delicious. The filet was excellent, my wife ordered the scallops appetizer, she loved it, the appetizer is served with a mango salsa which was unreal, she kept asking me to learn how to make mango salsa, lol. Ordered the bread pudding for dessert, with an espresso martini, the server recommended it, and he was right, so good. Areas of improvement, the wine list was just ok, the bottles seemed a little pricy for mid tier wine, I'm not sure if they do an uncorking fee, but seeing as the selection is basic, I'd be nice if we could bring a bottle in the future. I also wish they served bread, I did see a flatbread on the menu for $13 that we could order. I kind of expect when I go to a steakhouse and spend $50 for a steak and salad to get some bread, not a deal breaker but it's a nice to have. Overall very happy with Fig's Prime, this WILL be our new go to spot with our friends, the service was great, the environment was good and the food even better. We didn't sit at the bar but there's plenty of room and it looks like a cool spot to grab a beer and an app. read more

So we found this place on a basic search for a steak house. I am a chef for a living so I am a pain in the ass. I wanted prime cut steak and it's my anniversary! this place looked like it would fit the bill. When we arrived the placed looked very cool from the outside and I was excited to eat a delicious steak. When we walked in we were greeted by a nice young lady who sat us and let us know who the server was. We did not see him (our server) for a good 10 minutes then he finally arrived. He took our drink order and we added an appetizer since we did not know when we would see him again. There was a strong smell of seafood in the air which is not usually a good thing No bread service which you would expect from an ala cart restaurant with high end prices He never mentioned specials or anything like that but then we heard the other server which was much better than ours talking about specials with her tables. We did not get our drinks for another 10 minutes and appetizer after 15 minutes. Bottle beer was not very cold but I was thirsty. I got a ny strip that I ordered med rare with peppercorn sauce and my wife got the pork tenderloin. My steak arrived medium, but it tasted very good with the sauce so I ate it. My wife's pork was very overcooked, very dry. it did have a nice sauce. the waiter took a while to check in with us till we were almost done. we did not get dessert. not really worth the high price tag for the service we received... I would have a chat with staff, we almost left because of waiting for service and it was our anniversary. read more

Me and my boyfriend dined at Fig's Prime last weekend for our anniversary and our service and food were truly impeccable. We decided to try something new and this was close to our house so we went there hoping for a good experience and that is exactly what we got. Brittany D was our server and she really went above and beyond to make our evening special. She was extremely knowledgable when asked questions about the menu and she even gave us great recommendations on appetizers and deserts that were amazing. Brittany was very quick with getting us greeted, our drinks served and our food to the table, it was such a great night! Went here on a date and got the infamous Christina for our server! I've read many reviews mentioning her name. She truly was outstanding, thank you! I got the the Chilean seabass special 6/10, it was over seasoned and didn't have a great sear at all. It was served with a risotto, which was basically rice. I've eaten at Fig's a few times and again yesterday. My opinion hasn't changed. Food is good not great. I've never had something there that I think is so good that it's worth another trip back. Plating is always good. And I always enjoy the vegetable side dish. Way too noisy. Can't hear my dinner companion. The same reason I don't eat at Flemings. At the price point, I want a second server. Someone to clear finished plates off the table and water refilled (though their tap water is undrinkable). One person cannot (and did not) achieve that. read more

I recently dined here solo after a business meeting. I had the filet from the Magical Dining menu. It was perfectly prepared and the Caesar Salad was good. The mashed potatoes on the plate were scooped with an ice cream scooper giving it the appearance of mashed potatoes from a diner and they were dry. They need to work on that. My server was attentive, my glass of wine was excellent and overall the dinner was good. I noticed while sitting at my table that the place has a lot of glass walls, pretty much the entire place. It gives it a nice contemporary look and while I know it must be a lot of upkeep, they need to pay attention to making sure the glass is clean. When the sun is coming through the glass , it can look pretty yucky if not clean and stream free. Overall I enjoyed this place and I will return with my husband to try other things on the menu. It's nice to have an upscale steakhouse that is nearby. read more

I'd been looking forward to trying Fig's Prime for a long while, but wanted to wait for a special occasion so it would be memorable. Yesterday was our anniversary, so the date was set. The dinner was indeed memorable, but unfortunately for the wrong reasons. I ordered a Filet Mignon, and decided to add a lobster tail as well. Ordered my steak medium rare (that's warm red center). Somehow the chef must've lost track of my steak, as what arrived was the definition of well done. Barely a touch of pink left in the middle, otherwise completely gray and dry. Waited a while for our server to check back (she otherwise was very good), but finally had to leave the table to search her out. Of course she was very apologetic, and promised to get a new steak out right away. Good thing I ordered the lobster tail, because by the time a replacement steak arrived, the rest of my party had long since finished their meals, and my appetite and mood had been shot. With only two other tables occupied in the restaurant at the time, I have no idea why it would take so long to cook up a new steak (close to half an hour). Thought at least a manager would drop by to apologize, but no. Anyway, by the time it arrived dinner was over. I took a few bites, but the wait was so long it felt kind of pointless. So I took my expensive entree ($71) home where it's now re-heating in a toaster oven. What a shame. Our server was the only person we dealt with all night. This isn't Outback, where if a steak gets screwed up it's no big deal. For a prime steakhouse charging top dollar I expected at least some better customer service, let alone a better meal. All that and I might give them a second chance, as everyone else's food was fine and my lobster was indeed cooked just right. But I'll be sure to let them know of this previous experience. read more
