Came for magical dining and had the goat cheese croquette, filet, and ordered the rum torte, but shortly before dessert was served, they let us know they ran out of the torte so I opted for the bread pudding instead. The goat cheese croquette was fried nicely but the rest of the plate was much more sweet than I expected and the chopped pears and figs were not cooked down, I wasn't a huge fan. The filet was phenomenal alongside the fluffy buttery mashed potatoes. The bread pudding was very good, similar flavor profile to French toast. There were a few mixups with our filet temperatures across the table, but service was friendly and attentive to correcting any issues. read more

Came here for my Mother's 89th birthday . Good cocktails from expresso martini to Apreol spritz. The Cesar and wedge salads were huge. The duck was yummy. The veal was delicious. This has always been a special place especially for my birthday. I had a difficult week so made reservations for this evening and was looking forward to a lovely dinner. Got there was told I had no reservations. Showed them to them twice. They refused to seat me and to add insult to injury said I could sit at the bar. We went for magical dining. I was super excited to try it, but it let me down a bit. First, my waiter routinely coughed all over our plates as he carried them from our kitchen. Service wasaubpar for price and ambiance (thought admittedly this is on the first floor of an office building which is a bit odd). As for food, the carpacchio was underwhelming. My husband had the ribeye and it was one of the best steaks I have had in a long time, so tender and Delicious. The drinks were also very unique and strong. The cozy ambiance and attentive staff made the evening even more enjoyable. If you're a steak lover like me, Fig's is an absolute must-visit! We had the Goat cheese croquette, Ribeye upgrade w mash and asparagus, Shrimp Scampi, and Shrimp and Scallops w cheesy grits. and Bourbon Fig bread pudding. We started with a few drinks..Pear Martini was surprisingly good..not as sweet as expected just right. For appetizers we got beef carpaccio and scallops. Scallops were on top of spinach with a mango sauce...cooked to perfection. The beef carpaccio was super fresh with enough capers, arugula and oil. Came with some crossing. The main dishes we ordered the sea bass special that came over cilantro risotto and tomato sauce. Rack of lamb was super generous and came with smashed potatoes and vegetables. Mediterranean seafood zuppa a fantastic combination of different shellfish including a whole lobster tail. Since it was my husband birthday, we top it off with a slice of their cheesecake. read more

First time coming to Figs, it's a fine dining hidden gem. Went with family since I'm from Out of state and visiting. It was pretty busy around 7pm on a Friday and It's def not a quiet restaurant but it was nice to see it busy and everyone enjoying themselves . Loved the ambiance. When entering the restaurant, you have 2 staff greeting you at the door, opening the door when entering and leaving. When we got to our table we had a birthday card on there " Wishing us a happy birthday. All of our dishes were very good. There is steak , chicken ,seafood. A little of everything. Our waitress was very good. The presentation and our birthday treats. If recommended making reservations as it gets pretty busy . I'll start by saying the food was delicious. Probably one of the best steaks that I've had in a long time. The downside to my experience was the extremely loud atmosphere. Very hard to have a nice intimate dinner when I literally couldn't hear my wife sitting directly in front of me. Service was very friendly but a bit slow. read more

My husband and I came for magical dining and luckily I made reservations beforehand. The place was packed when we arrived and our wait would have probably been longer without the reservation. But -- the wait was worth it! The restaurant is elegant and has beautiful tall windows which make the place feel romantic and upscale. We also met the owner and head chef Victor who came by our table and said hi! He shared how his restaurant is a family business and that his family was there that night working the front and back of house. We also had the best busser, Jacob! You could tell he was working extremely hard on this busy night and still worked efficient and quickly clearing tables and greeting new tables and refilling our waters. Have never met a great busser before! Now the food - food was incredible! I loved every dish. The ribeye was the favorite. The char and flavor on it is elite!! And now sits in second place for our favorite ribeye steak in Central Florida. I would only say, the mashed potatoes could use a little more texture and flavor to really take this dish to the next level. Overall - SUPER DELICIOUS! We won't be returning.. despite a few people giving mixed but mostly positive reviews, this was a swing and a miss. Tough review to write, but I'm not sure i can find any room for redemption..it was so meh, i can't imagine anyone eats here more than once.. My wife and i had dinner reservations and we were sat promptly. We were given the option of a couple different tables and opted for the comfy sofa seating near the windows. Service was simple, kind, and attentive throughout - no concerns there. The food was the big let down here, unfortunately. My wife opted for the summer dining menu (prix fixe) with the filet as her entree. I opted to try a couple things including the scallops, a wedge salad, and a 20oz ribeye. The food came out a decent pace and we enjoyed each other's company in anticipation of the next course. The appetizers were simple enough, the scallops were actually very tender and tasty - solid start. The prix fixe menu included a tomato bruschetta 'appetizer' which amounted to one small crostini piled with herbed tomatoes - tasty but hardly an appetizer. Next were the salads - my wife liked her Caesar (again a bit small, considering it was a $10 side salad if purchased separately). I instead went with a wedge salad which was a bit disappointing...1/8th iceberg wedge was a bit wilted at the ends and had that "day before pink" color that you're okay with if you're hungry and rationalize your acceptance with..."it's just a salad". It was very over dressed and became sloppy with thin tasteless blue cheese dressing mixed with redeeming blue cheese and bacon crumbles. "It's just a salad, Jason." Next were the entrees. My wife's 8oz filet looked great on arrival (at a $20 upcharge)but was rather tough and chewy for a filet - cooked to medium...i could be convinced it was a baseball cut and not a filet at all. She was hungry and rarely eats meat.. she finished it without complaint but admitted when we left she didn't want to say anything. i've never had one that poorly executed if that was the viable excuse. My ribeye was a let down - the first one came out cooked medium-well which they quickly took back and returned a much tastier, albeit very fatty cut cooked to medium-rare as requested. The second one was fine.. it was uninspiring at $59 and doubtful as a prime cut, but it was at least as good as i can do at home. Last was the banana bread dessert included in the prix fixe menu. It was okay.. dense, dryish, and bland..not anything i would expect anyone finishes. Do they even care? read more

always loved this place and the owners, but had a very strange visit this evening. I was celebrating something. special but could not share it with my friends as they were not allowed in the restaurant. My friends are 80 yrs old and were asked to leave. Police called and it was so very embarrassing for the restaurant I am sure. Will not be retuning unfortunately. I came here for the first time since the restaurant was part of Magical Dining Month. I started off with the goat cheese croquette which was good, I especially liked the figs that were served with them. My husband got the Caesar salad which was pretty standard. For our entrees, I got the shrimp and scallops served over grits and he got the filet. The presentation of my dish wasn't the prettiest, but it tasted really good. I found the grits to be really creamy and flavorful. My husband's filet was cooked exactly how he wanted. We both got the chocolate torte which was rich and a great way to end the meal. I really liked the raspberry sauce that came with it. Our server was really nice. I felt bad because he was running around since they were really busy and it looked like they didn't have a lot of servers. I took my fiancé to eat here for his birthday for the first time. It was happy hour and the drink specials were great. We sat in the dining area for dinner and the service was good. He ordered the paella and I had the sea bass. The ONLY reason I did not give 5 stars is because my entree did not come with sweet pea risotto. It was served with the same saffron and pea rice that my fiancé's entrée had. When I asked about the dish not matching the description on the menu, I was told by the manager that it was served with the same " saffron sweet pea risotto" that it was "always" served with. This was NOT risotto and it did NOT say this on the menu. I was disappointed, especially paying $48 for the meal. read more

I was under the impression this would be a fine-dining experience. However, I've had better food at Applebee's. The food was very mid and massively overpriced for the execution. Never been to a steakhouse where the steak comes pre-cut. The risotto served with the sea bass was unseasoned and too heavy for the delicate sea bass. And no bread service? Overall, I was shocked at the mismatch between the food, delivery and marketing. Will not be returning. read more

I ordered the following items: Appetizer - Mixed Green Salad Entree - Salmon with asparagus and tomatoes Dessert - Bourbon Fig Bread Pudding I also ordered beef empanadas and a tropical champagne and Arnold Palmer. Every morsel of the meal was wonderful. Full of flavor and each bite was enjoyable. Our waiter, Leo, provided great recommendations and checked in on us at every opportunity he could. Words just can't describe how great the food is here! Altamonte Springs has a lot of chain restaurants. Fig's Prime is a break away from the Olive Garden, Red Lobster, and etc. Fig's Prime gives you more of Winter Park, Maitland quality restaurant but in Altamonte Springs. Which is great for those looking to be closer to home for fine dining. read more

Fig's is a reliable favorite of our family, especially for celebrations. The lighting is very cool. The floor to ceiling windows are awesome, especially at night when they reflect the lights. The curved booths are cozy. The fig old fashioned is unique, and the food is great. Be sure you're coming for a leisurely time, because it's a fine dining experience where they're going to do things one step at a time, and if you're ordering steaks it will take a while. Don't come in a hurry. My actual rating, if I could give it, is 4.5 stars because it's missing a solid mocktail menu (as of right now). read more
