In a pinch, we eat here because it is basically right next to the house. The interior restaurant is unkempt and uninviting. The drive through takes a.million.years. to get your food. It all tastes ok at first, then you spend your afternoon in the bathroom. The menu got fairly expensive. It used to be the cheap burrito place to to. Soda counter not clean, sauce section not labeled sufficiently to let you know what is there. Counter man efficient, helpful, accurate, food delivered fast. And that is the end of the nice. 2 Tacos, hard shells, rice, refried beans. Taco shells were grease shaped like a shell. Grease dripped from the taco as I ate, so I opened the taco to eat just the meat and greens. Had no taste at all. Meat looked like worms rolled together and fried. Greasy. Some meat very dark (like it was spoiled). Wife soft chicken taco, chicken burrito (has not eaten yet), rice, refried beans. Tacos are soggy and when ask to make them no soggy. Manager Alma said don't come back. And they charge for sauce if you have to pay if you want more than 1/2 sauce per Taco. My mistake!!! I thought it was a good idea to swing by this Filiberto's and grab some Super Nachos.... something quick and easy! The whole visit wasn't quick or easy and the food was meh..... after having to wait 20 minutes in the drive through I was HANGRY!!! Service- The girls there are always nice and friendly, the food comes out pretty fast, but sometimes the breakfast burritos aren't always what you order so make sure you check your bag before you leave or else. It usually stays clean inside and out. Food-I've tried everything, but nothing really makes me want to come back, I only go back for my grandparents who seem to just accept this place as a mexican joint near the house. Id' say if the hot sauce went to the tomatoe type hot sauce and they had chips, it would help as well as a smaller choice of tacos with "homemade tortillas" it would separate themselves as an acceptable mexican restaurant. I was going to this particular Filiberto's (in Apache Junction) once or twice a month. This last time I ordered 2 beef tacos with 1/2 pint of rice & 1/2 pint of beans. Totaled $7.13...Up 2 cents from the last time. I mentioned this to the young man at the drive-thru window & he shrugged his shoulders. Their people need customer service training. Got my meal home & checked to make sure it was "beef"...where's the beef? There was such a small amount in each taco - maybe a teaspoonful. No cheese & VERY wilted lettuce. Ate one taco & some rice & beans. Very sick at about midnight. Next day I ate the second taco, rice & beans...sick again about same time also. No more tacos since & no more sickness. I had bought the same meal at the Filiberto's on Signal Butte before this one in AJ opened & had no problems with the food or their employees. This is absolutely the worst filiberto's I have ever been to, and my standards are already pretty low for them. We had to wait an excessive amount of time at the drive thru window (20+ minutes), and our food was sitting by the window the whole time because it was soggy by the time it was given to us. We order country burritos add bacon, but there was probably 5 small pieces of bacon in both of our burritos. The burritos also just tasted like boiled potatoes, absolutely no flavor. read more

The food is always good here! Have never had a mistake on any of the orders I ever have. There is one girl especially who is super friendly and very attentive! I believe her name is Amber. Just moved here and we wanted Mexican, but not trying this place again. All of the meat just seemed to not be fresh at all and just in general everything tasted nasty. My wife's fajita meat tasted like it'd been soaking in salt water for hours. We had Fajitas, burritos, and 2 tacos. The consistency of the meat in each of these just didn't seem right - something was off. It certainly wasn't tender. It just seemed like the meat had been sitting somewhere for quite a long time after it was cooked (or brined in the case of the fajita meat). Not sure how to comment on what happened the next morning but I had to flush twice. read more
