I don't eat here often but I have purchased the same meal here 3 times now. I always go for the same thing, the Italian sausage sandwich with bell peppers. Now each time, the sausage was overcooked and crumbly, and the cooked bell peppers seem anything but fresh. The first time i figured the chef just made a mistake, the second time I thought, "wow is this the way they always cook this?" and the third time when it was exactly the same, i swore to myself never to eat there again. Also this latest time the entire top of the bun was black from being burnt. I ended up tossing it because it tasted burnt too. I'd like to ad that the three purchases have taken place over the last 4 years. So plenty of time between purchases for them to correct the issue. Turns out they just don't know how to make a proper italian sausage sandwich. I grew up on the East Coast, in an Italian family and I can say without a doubt that this is the very worst Italian sausage hoagie/sandwich I have ever had... The quality of meat is terrible and the taste is not great either. Nice staff though. I'll give them a couple of stars for that. read more

Holy smokes .. Not sure what has happened here .. We have always been excited and happy to eat here , usually crowded with family members and Waiters that have been there a long time.. We have been coming here for close to 30 years and also the one in PB.. we came by around 8 PM and were greeted with a skeleton crew apparently very unhappy to be there !! Food was cold........... Delicious old school Italian restaurant. Pizza was delicious. Crust, cheese and sauce were fresh. Had spaghetti marinara. Delicious too. The marinara was thick and good. Also gave delicious liaison bread on table. One thing I thought was interesting is the linguini marinara was a few dollars more than spaghetti. Just a different shaped noodle so not sure why. Waitress was attentive. Food was served in a timely manner. Highly recommend if you just want a down home Italian dinner. Great for families too. Informal dining. Good prices. Large menu. I'm slowly loosing my love for this place. There's a 50% chance of burnt crust and/or crappy service. The staff seems to be edgy and not happy. I've watched the cooks bicker amongst eachother and the servers. Ordering togo usually is a mess and you have to ask for absolutely everything, like butter for the bread. And charging for a side of ranch is lame considering the pizza is close to $30. Sucks, because when it's good it's great and totally worth it. But, since I've been coming here for 20 years I know how much better it used to be. read more

Asked for no olives... this plate is full of olives from just one slice. I called the place back to let them know about my situation. The person who answered the phone apologized and, was very kind. The pizza was a bit pricey but, covered with tons of toppings. very delicious pizza crunchy crust sauced with just the right amount of sauce. I would definitely comeback. just went here tonight. food was amazing but horrible service by this older blonde women. went with my family and on 3 separate occasions walking by she kicked my grandfathers chair (1 okay that's an accident 2 come on but 3?) she had the worst attitude and seemed like she hated her job. i work in the service industry as well, and i understand having a bad day, but to be professional is to look past that and start fresh with each new customer. the way she treated us was definitely not acceptable. save your time and ask for another waiter! read more

The service was excellent , Food was HOT to serve you all know that's a must for me . The cheese bread is a must for a appetizer along with their house dressing it's a blue cheese and Italian dressing . The food is excellent just wish it had a little more Italian spice to the dishes . read more

Sheinkfkstion has definitely hit Filippi's. We usually buy a large pepperoni pizza every week. We didn't mind paying $25 for their pizza before they gave you lots of pepperoni, lots of cheese and plenty of dough. Now they've cut most of their ingredients in half but are charging the same price. This pizza is overcharged now. I guess we will be looking for a different pizza place. read more

Disappointed in the FEAST we ordered,, service was ok by a new waitress, had to ask for many things, more napkins, salt pepper, oil and cheese for dipping bread. Salads were big BUT we ordered 2 extra and were charged $6.45 EACH, total $13. The feast price is $29 for 2 salads, small cheese pizza, 2 sides lasagne and 2 sides spaghetti. There were 4 of us. No idea the 2 salads would be that much. The restaurant was chilly, the pastas were not hot, barely warm then turned cold. The cheese was odd tasting in both the lasagna and on pizza, not soft and runny perhaps from being cold? The sauce dense and almost tasteless like old? We've eaten the feast many times over the years but this time BIG DISSAPOINTMENT. I can see why the YELP rating has dropped so low now. You can imagine how happy to learn that indoor dining has resumed (w/ restrictions) in Temecula so my family decided let's try this Italian Spot. We just moved here a few months ago and trying new spots. We decided to eat an early dinner around 5pm on Thursday which was the right choice bc the place got packed fast. We were seated right away. We were placed right by a large party so we saw a few tables open near a window. We asked the hostess if we could move and to my surprise she rolled her eyes and said 'Well, I guess". I was taken back by the rude response. She then said I'd have to move my own menus. I was happy to assist. I later learned from our sweet server Shay that they seat customers to spread the service to other waitresses. I understood and apologized for making it complicated. Shay quickly said don't worried about it. The women's name we later learned was Norma and I would really hope she doesn't treat others like this and she was just having a bad day. I watched her demeanor towards others and it's not friendly at all. My family also noticed another hostess Brittany who seems very annoyed but I was not a witness to this interaction. When Norma brought my debit card back to our table she didn't say anything to us. Perhaps embarrassed. Perhaps she was still in a sour mood?! We stayed only bc Shay made it worth trying the food. Our first visit back since the pandemic and it never disappoints!! The decor is warm and relaxing. Good service and the food is delicious!! What a disappointment. The shrimp were so fishy I could not take another bite. I have ordered this many times. Very dry as well. Needless to say very bummed. My mother in law and husband ordered the lasagna and spaghetti combo with my husband's favorite meatball. Both meals were disappointing as well. Meatball recipe has changed. Lasagna was mainly ricotta cheese and sauce. So sad. Paid 8.50 for a side salad that was all lettuce 2 olives and one slice of tomato. I wish I would have known this before spending over $50. My daughter, had been raving about this place so we eat here for her birthday. My wife was actually upset about having to come here because she thought it was going to be similar to a place in Orange County (Pizza D'Oro) that served up huge portions of food but it was lacking in quality and flavor. It almost turned into an argument. We dined in and ordered a pizza, lasagna, and cannelloni (iirc). Let's just say that she had a religious conversion after one bite. Everything was great, and in fact my wife ordered an additional pizza to bring home. They also offer a veteran discount which is great, but unfortunately I was informed that it is only for dine in. I don't live very close, so unfortunately I would be more likely to stop for carry out than to have the family trek all the way here to dine in. That discount would have helped to offset the gas and logistical costs. read more

On a Friday evening we were seated right away. Our server was very congenial and prompt. After ordering i noticed the healthy portions on the plates of nearby tables, the food looked delicious! Our server brought fresh baked bread, and salad. As soon as we finished our appetizers the main dishes arrived. Large portions, steaming hot and smelling/looking picture perfect. We could not consume the entire meal so our very courteous server brought us some to go containers. After asking if we needed anything else, our very pleasant server left us our check. I commented to a nearby patron the upbeat happy attitude of our server and we both agreed she did make the whole experience that much better! I asked the cashier what our servers name was, she informed me 'her name was Anna'. I hope Anna is recognized for her above and beyond attitude, service and kindness. People do get busy performing mundane repetitious activities, but to rise above.and to have spirit of kindness and goodwill takes moxie.
