I DoorDashed and came across this place, and I told my husband we had to try it--they did not disappoint! It's a beautiful little Italian restaurant with its own story, tucked away in a corner of Temecula. The ambience was chill and the hospitality was awesome. A waiter recommended the Margherita Pizza, and she came through. We wanted something different, and it was so yummy! Same with the Ravioli, plus the complimentary bread and butter. Dined in for two and ordered a medium pepperoni, unfortunately for our tastes, the Pizza had way too much cheese. We thought they brought out the wrong pizza order, because it looked mostly like a quadruple cheese topped pizza, yet on closer inspection, the pepperoni was hidden underneath. The first bite was met with a crunch, then trying to manage chewing all that, bubblegum-like texture, cheese without choking, ending with an over-all barf taste which was probably from the (most likely) expired Parmesan Shaker I used from the table. Our server (An older lady) I assumed, was probably having a bad day because she approached us as if we were an inconvenience, she was inattentive and rushing us out. We ordered drinks (Sierra Mist, Stella Artois and two waters) she forgot our water and never asked if we needed a refill on our drinks. I get It though, working in food service stinks sometimes, so I don't fault her for that, but please don't take it out on the customers. I kind of regret tipping. Some positives: The atmosphere was quaint, the marinara on the pizza was decent and the crust had a nice crunch. Although, a decent marinara and a crunchy crust won't make your experience any better here. If you really love chewing on gobs of cheese and enjoy mediocre service, this is the place for you, if not, I'd say go to Stadium Pizza right across the street from this establishment, they always got the goods. P.s. Please use less cheese and put the pepperoni on top so they can get crispy. I don't know how they can afford to do the Italian Feast for 2 for the price they charge, $34. First off, it's enough for 4 people. The "1/2 spaghetti and the 1/2 lasagna" are huge, add the small salad that is a meal in itself, the bread and a medium sized pizza on top of all of that. Flavors were on point and service was good. The "Feast" is dine in only so we had lot's in the doggie bags. Only negative to me is that I prefer a thinner, foldable crust for my pizza but the sauce and loads of cheese made up for that. read more

Filippi's is a great Family owned pizza place. They have been around since 1950 and every location that they have is owned by various relatives of the same family. It is a Family atmosphere when you visit, they treat you like you're coming for Sunday dinner. Very nice , great attentive service. I always like to support Family owned businesses, but when the food is amazing it is that much better. Now to the food, they have lunch specials as well as a regular menu. I got the 10" mushroom pizza lunch special, small garden salad and a Pepsi. Their website is realcheesepizza.com, I believe that it holds true, the cheese is so gooey, stretchy and full of flavor. I love their crust as well, all around an excellent pie. The salad comes with some fresh baked bread as well as a generous portion of dressing, blue cheese is my fav and it is delicious, but do yourself a favor, get it on the side, otherwise you may find it a bit too much dressing. But either way, a great salad and dressing combo. Drinks are bottomless. They were rated as the #1 pizza in America in 2013 and featured on Good Morning America, I would agree, they make some great pizza here. I had more than half my pizza left and half my bread and left completely full and happy. Looking forward to tomorrow's leftovers! Go support them at this location or any of their locations. We've been coming to this location for 20+ years and it's the best Pizza, Pasta and Italian Food I've had in So. Cal. They have a few locations but they are not all quite the same. My biggest reason for loving Filippi's so much is the fresh made natural pizza and marinara sauce does not give me heartburn or indigestion. Most all others do. The Temecula location is our favorite. Norco is a close second. Little Italy in San Diego is a 3rd, Kearny Mesa in San Diego 4th, Chula Vista 5th and probably last place Mira Mesa. Not all Filippi's are equal, their menus and ways of preparation seem slightly different. But as long as good ole Temecula has my favs I'm GUCCI!! I ordered pizzas from here all the time and every time I'm trying to add a side of ranch. I always have an issue through the DoorDash app. I always call directly to the restaurant and someone that's nice and helpful Always answers, today when someone answered my call they were extremely rude with zero customer service skills. And walked me through how to add a side over the phone. I explain it's not that I don't know how to use DoorDash. It's that the DoorDash app itself wasn't allowing me to add that side of ranch. Whether it was a small side or a large side, I wasn't trying to get anything for free. I was more than willing to pay for it over the phone with my debit card or credit card. It was just the tone of voice and how condescending she was talking to me The reviews are not looking that great already and the issue is definitely not the food. Second time here. I liked the foods last time but not quite this time. We ordered the Works pizza (dough tasted like baking soda?), lunch spaghetti (comes with bread and salad) and a kids marinara spaghetti. I have tried better pasta dishes but the bread that with the spaghetti meal was to-die for. Place is spacious, kid-friendly and seems pretty busy even after lunch on a Friday. The hours are not accurate on their website or on Yelp. We walked in a half hour before their closing time and we were greeted with a very condescending and undermining tone. Very unfortunate considering that I had many years of positive and celebratory experiences at other locations. I felt disregarded and disrespected, and I was anticipating a welcoming and positive experience. Will not be visiting this location again, unfortunately. The pizza was doughy with Costco-level cheese(at best) and it left a real unsettling aftertaste, while the eggplant parm was just devoid of any flavor whatsoever. Recently went here for dinner on a Sunday evening. We had the "Feast For Two" for $32.95 and shared it between three people. Even though the sign on the window indicates that this special is only available Monday through Thursday, we were told it is now also available on Sundays. I don't understand the negative reviews: We had the best pizza made pepperoni, mushroom with cherry tomatoes and marinara sauce. The crust was fluffy and hard crisp on the bottom. Ordered take out pizza and antipasto salad and when we got home, we were so disappointed with the $17 salad. It was unappealing to say the least. The veggies were not fresh so my family just picked off the deli meat on top. First thing in the morning, I called to explain the situation and the girl told me to bring in my payment card for a refund. Later that day, I went in and unfortunately encountered the most rude, unprofessional person named Martha. She treated me like a criminal and said "who did you talk to?" I didn't get her name I told her. She said did they write your name down? I said "I don't know." She then asked me if I have the invoice. Invoice I said and she further explained the yellow slip. I imagine she meant the greasy, yellow piece of receipt they stick inside the pizza box. I told her no as those always get thrown away. Finally, she said I'll do it this time but next time, you will need to have something more. She further told me that I should let her staff know what to do next time because they should have written my name down. Me? I said that sounds like a you problem not a me problem. I told her she didn't need to be so rude and nasty about it, especially if she's a manager. She further explained that she's not a manager and that her sister owned the restaurant for 30 years. I said you do work here right and get a paycheck? She said, "no I do not get paid." Well, I hope the owner, your sister will be happy knowing she just lost a long time customer because of her wicked sister who should not be interacting with any of the patrons. I can only imagine how she treats the employees. Martha eventually gave me a cash refund but not in a pleasant way and ZERO apology or effort to try and make things right. A lot of sauce, was added to the top so it was not cooked with sauce on it. Hence the noodles had not absorbed any flavor. The was a thick layer of ricotta cheese, but very little other cheese. The meat sauce was not very meaty. Honestly, you really could not see or taste any meat, so I really don't know that it had any. The lasagna tasted like tomato sauce, bland noodles and ricotta cheese. If you like lasagna, don't come here, as you will be greatly disappointed. I'll leave it at that. First of all, who puts an unpitted olive in a salad?? I bit down on the olive and bam hurt my tooth. Not Cool. We expected the pizza to be way better for the price that we paid. A Medium cheese pizza for $19 and a large pepperoni for around 27. Then we paid about $4 dollars a soda and didn't even get offered refills. This pizza was way too bland and the cheese slid off and there wasn't enough sauce for us. It's chunky but thin. Waitress was meh. Not bad not great. Seems outdated for the prices. The medium pizza was way more than two of us could handle, in fact we each were full after having just one piece each and splitting a Cesar salad.
