If you are looking for a quick big breakfast, this is the stop. Excellent bacon and eggs. Chicken breast were awesome. Quick and friendly service.

Directly opposite the State House, this sandwich shop cranks them out at lunch time. I stopped in post-lunch rush and jumped on a pastrami sandwich. A very good portion of pastrami, some provolone cheese and a few tomatoes (yeah, I picked all of that) with a huge portion of fries. A good amount of space with a half dozen two-top tables and another half dozen seats at the counter. Cooler of bottled and can sodas and juices and teas. Service was good.

I go here because I'm early for work, it's super cheap and the guy behind the counter is super nice. If there was no salt and pepper to be found on the table or bar area, I'm not sure I could eat here. The eggs and potatoes need to be seasoned but seriously if you are in the area and hungry, you can NOT beat the price for what you get. Hey, I keep going back every once in a while so that says something!

I got so much food for such a low price. It can get busy being right next to the state house, but staff stays on top of it. Beyond amazing and definitely recommend

Looking for a quick bit to eat for breakfast in Boston before the sam adams brewery tour; I whiped out my iPhone went straight to the Yelp program typed in "Cheap Breakfast" using "Current Location"... SEARCH.... Fill-A-Buster popped up #1. Read a few reviews, sounded interesting, off I went. This place is located like across the street from the state house building in a very old money area of Beacon Hill. Next door to the New Jerusalem Church which basically fortified my new fond love of Fill-A-Busters. It's a nice area to walk around during the week to people watch. Lots of state govt political type. I was feeling a little adventurous that morning so I decided to go with a new menu item called the Pita Omelette Sandwich. I ordered the omelette western style with a cup of coffee for $5. Talk about a thick Boston accent.... I couldn't understand a word the cook said to me after I placed my order so I simply smiled and said "sure". My Pita Omelette arrived at my table and it was HUGE. The size of my face huge and it probably contained 4 eggs, peppers, onion, ham, and cheese. Pretty simple but perfect. I sat there devoured it, burned the inside of my mouth a few times, watched CNBC Squawk Box on the 4x4 inch lcd television; then off to freedom trail. Wicked good times!

Across from the State House. They're so punny.

Want to go to a place with a punny name that serves Greek-American food and is run by a Polish guy and two Mexicans? This is the place for you. The lentil soup is really good.

Italian Sub: $20 for a foot long, the meat was so plentiful it's almost overflowing, enough for two meals. The prisciutto was tender and juicy; the salami was firm and savory with a strong smokiness. Both are thinly sliced, so despite the thick stack, it was relatively easy for a bite. The provolone cheese was also generously portioned, with a robust yet not spicy flavor and a subtle nutty aroma, perfectly complementing the two meats. The olive oil and balsamic vinegar were particularly outstanding: mellow, tangy, and with a fruity aroma of grapes, key to the complex flavor profile. The lettuce, tomatoes, and onions were all fresh, especially the onions were refreshing and a little zingy, perfect for removing the greasiness. Unfortunately, I was worried about not being able to roll it back up properly and making it inconvenient to carry (which it actually happened), so I took it away and ate it at the office. After about 40 minutes, the bread had become somewhat dry and hard.

But I'm actually writing about the company's website and phone recording. Once, on a prior holiday, and today due to a winter storm, I wasn't sure if the restaurant was open. In both cases (where the restaurant turned out to be closed), the website (appropriately) didn't allow online orders, and (more importantly) THE OUTGOING PHONE RECORDING WAS UPDATED WITH CURRENT INFORMATION. In an era where businesses barely have phone numbers to call, or employees who answer with something other than 'hello', is rare (and by the way, this is the fault of management if they don't properly train their staff). I've eaten here before (it's a small area, but does have a lot of seating) but normally I get it as take out. The cafe itself is super casual, it's the perfect place to pop into during lunch or after a walk. My food is always ready on time which is nice, and when I've eaten there I'm usually able to find a seat. The spinach tortellini with the pesto cream sauce is my absolute favorite- it's a HUGE portion and so delicious. It usually lasts me at least 2 meals. The bread they include is also great! I like to dip it in the sauce. The past time I got Dino's I accidentally ordered spinach ravioli instead of tortellini...that was my bad. HOWEVER I think I might have found my new favorite? The raviolis are huge and so fat. I'm talking like 1/2 inch - 3/4 inch thick. There is so much stuffing and the spinach ricotta mix tastes so fresh and delicious...it's a must try. I've also gotten the eggplant parm before, and the fettuccini Alfredo. Both were also delicious. I've never had any of the sandwiches, but if they are anything like their pastas then I'm sure they are great! The bang for your buck here is also great which is nice. Highly recommend! Dinos is awesome! And the staff is very kind too (Note that the pic is taken from a train, I like to treat myself to Dino's before catching the Amtrak)

Every search for…read morebreakfast spots mentioned Mike & Patty's as a must stop for the best breakfast sandwich you're going to get anywhere. Enough said! I'm a huge breakfast fanatic, especially a good breakfast sandwich or burrito. This is the original location that was started by two friends and has grown to multiple other locations since. We took an Uber here from our hotel. I imagine if you drive over here, parking will be a challenge. It's almost easy to miss. It sits on a corner of a brick building with just writing on the windows. In all my research I did not catch that it is the smallest restaurant in Boston at only 175 square feet. It's basically a room with most of the space taken by the tiny kitchen. There's also a little tiny ledge on the window with a couple of stools for those who may want to dine in. Customers including us took turns walking in and putting in our orders and then stepping out to make room for more people. It had a steady line the whole time we were there. Hours are limited from 7:30-2 so don't delay. Customer service was straight business, kind of the norm in Boston. Their menu is breakfast sandwiches, a couple of burritos and some lunch options like a turkey sandwich, BLT, or a Rueben. For sides, they have hashbrowns or a plain English muffin. For a small menu, they do have quite a few drink options like coffee, tea, juices, and different flavored milks including banana milk which I have never seen. For their food, they use high quality ingredients from local farms and purveyors and have their own bakery for their bread. My eyes fixated on the Breakfast Grilled Crack mainly for the name, but also all the ingredients looked tasty. It was quality eggs, bacon, four cheeses on sourdough bread. I went extra and added sausage to it as well. I also got OJ to wash it down. We realized our only option to eat comfortably was to go back to our hotel lobby to eat. Even with the travel time, the sandwich was nice and warm and the bread was still nice and crispy from the griddle. This sandwich was indeed one of the best breakfast sandwiches I have ever had. I almost felt guilty eating it because of how rich and cheesy it was. I would skip the hash brown next time. It did not travel well nor did it have anything special going on with it. Hands down one of my favorite meals of the trip that I would absolutely do again if I am in the area.

When we walked up around 7:30 pm, the outdoor seating on this beautiful day was already full. Good sign to start! Since it was a bit windy, we asked for an indoor table and were brought in immediately, no wait. To quench my thirst, I opted for a Storrow Jam libation- a blueberry, vodka, sparkling water, lemon flavored drink. Absolutely refreshing and well presented! My pal ordered their spin on a Cuban and swapped out the chips for the dill pasta side. He loved it so much that it was gone on minutes. Being a fan of ground meats, I opted for the Hajj, a ground lamb, tzatziki, Mediterranean style sandwich. It was well flavored and large, and came with a side salad. I shared the sandwich with my friend, but agreed that his crispy Cuban was a bit tastier. We ended the evening with a bread pudding topped with vanilla ice cream to share. Massive portions! We both enjoyed to our hearts' delight, and the one dessert could have easily been shared with a third person. Our wait staff was so pleasant- friendly and warm from the start.
