As local as it gets! But it does nothing if not adds to the charm of this old school diner /soda counter lunch spot that caters to mostly locals I'd say as everyone seemed to know each other. They have a varied selection of food some of which I have never even heard of! " honkey eggs" , and "meat pudding" meat pudding wasn't my deal but honkey eggs sounded great! A inside out omelette of you will based on the description. They also had a bakery on site that made some tasty sourdough bread for my meal, among a million other things! The food was delicious and huge portions! The wait staff was super friendly and accommodating as well. The best part was the price. Three huge meals for $21 plus drinks. We stopped here while visiting Hershey Park. The food was very good and the service was very kind. I tried the club sandwich and it was big enough and so good that my 7 year old decided she wanted half! My girls enjoyed looking at the license plates and decorations. This is the definition of dive breakfast and is FANTASTIC!!! No bells or whistles, just great breakfast food. The people are the absolute nicest and this is the PA version of Cheers where everyone knows everyone in this place. The others throughout our meal were regulars, but they treated me and my daughter like we were one of them. My breakfast was great and my daughter says the Belgium waffle is "the best". I sat at the bar and the waitress, Cindy, was there with a smile, cup of coffee, and menu. I ordered a hotcake, crispy bacon and crispy hash browns! Simple good breakfast. We had a heavy gravy breakfast. The down on the farm plate (one split biscuit, sausage patties, and two eggs) was good. The gravy was on the sweet side (bias alert, not what we are use to), but was well balanced off with the salt and flour of the gravy itself. The sausage patties also helped cut the sweetness. The Hershey Pantry was closed for breakfast on Sunday, so my wife and I decided to check this place out. It is a typical neighborhood diner it a small town area. There is not a ton of tables or space at the counter, so try to get there early. We snagged two seats at the counter after waiting about 10 minutes. Our waitress came over to us fairly quickly even though it was quite busy. We got our coffee pretty fast to tide us over while we look at the menu. I got cream chip beef on toast, since it is my fav underrated breakfast food. The chip beef was hearty and the toast crispy. Our waitress made sure to keep the coffee coming. Nice little old time type of diner in Palmyra! Had a late lunch here! Tried the Patty Melt on Rye with sautéed onions! The wife had a cheese steak wrap! The wrap was totally stuffed and was oozing with cheese looked delicious! The patty melt actually was delicious ! The Filling Station is a reasonably priced menu and our meals came out hot! Not all booths are spaced out according to social distancing guidelines. When approached, server was nasty and treated me like I was crazy that they allowed people to sit in the booth next us, when all other booths were seated every other. And, the servers do not wear masks when taking orders or at the counter, where they are within 6 feet of customers. We stayed because my son was excited about the pancakes -- we sat side-by-side to avoid being within breathing range of the people in that booth. We should've left and I regret that. This restaurant was our breakfast mainstay and my husband knows someone in the family that owns it, so we always supported this local business. But when COVID-19 numbers are climbing in our county, it is hard to support a restaurant that is selective in its safety practices. Wanted to offer my unbiased thoughts with no agenda in hope of helping anyone visiting the nearby area; not looking to attack a small business but someone has to be honest with tourists. Positives: it is cheap, the wheat toast was decent quality. Just left from breakfast, eggs were okay! Homefries were okay! Coffee was abysmal. I can't even begin to describe it. It's a diner; wasn't expecting a high quality roast but good lord. Didn't bother finishing a third of the cup, and I am not a picky person at all. The two ladies helping out front were extremely unpleasant, unkind, short with customers, and plain miserable to be around. The restaurant will continue to be packed due to older locals who will return regularly for the nostalgia of a diner and cheap fare. The only thing I'm mad about is allowing myself to be uncomfortable for an hour due to the employees. I can guarantee nothing will change about their attitudes and service. I'm a traveler. I've been all over the world. And I love breakfast. So I can safely say this is my favorite and one of the best places to eat in the world. They make you feel at home when you stop in and their food is both delicious and plentiful. The name Filling Station isn't just a name, they really do fill you up, and for a cheap price too. I recently discovered the trio of croissant sliders and it's incredible. Whoever thought of that needs a raise and a high five. Also, since I don't know the limits of my stomach I usually get their delicious pancakes as well. I could go on and on about this place but I think you should just stop on by and find out for yourself. If you don't like it, head down to Hershey Med Center and get your head checked out! Wow. A blast from the last. Old school diner located in Palmyra. After a weekend of camping, we decided to come here before hitting the road back to CT. When you walk in there is no direction. You just have to wait along the window for a table to open. When you sit, they will take your order. We ordered French toast' Mickey mouse pancake and country fried steak. The country fried steak was amazing. I dont know how they made it, but it was crispy, the steak was seasoned good, and their gravy was awesome. The French toast is nothing fancy, which made it awesome. The bread wasnt soggy, and the flavor was good. Their bacon and sausage was tasty too. I was too busy chowing down the fried steak I didnt get to taste the Mickey mouse pancake. According to my 6 year old it was great though. Definitely reccomend this place. read more

We were in the area to visit Hershey Park. Glad we came here. Locals were friendly too. If you wanted to talk to them, they'd talk, if you gave one word answers (I was the crank in the group), they left you alone. No complaints whatsoever.
