great sushi. the sushi dinner, lovely couple roll and spicy scallop are our favorites - as well as any fresh fish specials. this is a no frills, nothing fancy place, but the sushi is always fresh and well cut. in the city, we love sushi seki, sushi of gari and sushi damo. the fish here seems to be of high quality as well, and won't eat sushi anywhere else in stamford. kazu in south norwalk is also great, but more of a drive for us. i don't recommend delivery from here, however, i don't recommend sushi delivery from anywhere (you should eat raw fish within 10 minutes of it being at room temperature, or as close to that as possible!) michael, the owner, is super nice so i recommend getting to know him! the cocktails are actually pretty good too, and the gyoza. read more

I have been dining at FIN in Stamford for many years and over the years, the food quality has greatly declined. I had the worst miso soup and and lowest grade tuna ever. I will never go back to this restaurant. I usually choose FIN over Kotobuki due to time constraint, but no more. I will rather walk the extra mile and enjoy quality and freshness. Had a great Sushi dinner..............didn't really stray that far afield. Nigiri Sushi, Maguro, Hamachi, toro, sake, saba, ikura etc, but the quality of the sushi was excellent better than what you usually find on your typical biz travel dinner. From the outside this place is pretty unassuming, but the quality of the sushi is really good! We got a bunch of speciality rolls, and the quality of the fish was really good and the tempura was very crispy. Friendly service as well and they threw in a free tempura ice cream since we were there for a birthday! We had a pleasant experience and think this is a food choice if you want sushi in Stamford! read more

I'm giving one star because i am a broke college student who realized that i only had enough money to cover my food. when i told the delivery person this (keep in mind, i'm a broke college student) he got more and more mad and was yelling and cursing at me for FIVE MINUTES! and my total was 23.24, so i gave him the quarter and HE THREW MY QUARTER ACROSS THE ROOM! i called the restaurant to complain and then lady could barely speak english, let alone understand what i was saying, so i asked to speak to the owner. and she told me he had just left and when i asked when he would be back, needless to say she said she didin't know. she saaid she would talk to the delivery person and the owner, but i highly doubt it. it's a shame, because the food is really good, but they made it obvious that they don't give a shit about the customer. i won't order from here again. read more

I've eaten at every sushi place in the area, I keep coming back to fin. Granted I don't eat all different kinds of crazy sushi, or sashimi I tend to stay toward the usuals shrimp tempura rolls, spicy tuna, tuna, salmon or the vegetarian rolls or salmon sashimi. so i cant comment on the other entrees but it's the best sushi in the area hands down. The decor is not as fancy as tengda or Asiana in Greenwich but after eating at both thoes places the decor doesn't matter to me. The sashimi is fresh, the ginger salad is simple and good, the cold saki is good and affordable. And if you order a hot tempura roll it's actually hot when your eating it. I ate at tengda in greenwich last night (the cheapest glass of sake was 13.00!!!!!) at fin you can eat a complete meal with drinks for 30.00 -40.00 for 2 people. The service is always on point. you can linger and have a drink or you can get out quick if your trying to catch a movie.Il never stray from fin again. read more

We had a typical order of two specialty rolls , two regular rolls and two pieces of sashimi. All of which lacked taste and freshness. I have eaten at this restaurant quite a few times and was always pleased. I recently ordered a delivery online and was terribly disappointed. The food was delivered over an hour later, when the original estimate was 20-30 minutes. The rolls were significantly smaller than what I have had when eating at the restaurant. Also, I ordered and paid extra for special sauce on the side and this was not included in the delivery. Unfortunately, after this bad experience I will not be returning to the restaurant or ever ordering from them again. I will be taking my business elsewhere. read more
