Came for Sunday brunch! Service is excellent and friendly. Atmosphere is wonderful w big windows overlooking the Fox River. Boats can drive up too. But the food....it's ok. The buffet starts out with the salad bar. The premade salads were very good. The lettuce and bit wilted. Then comes the breakfast section. Very poor quality. Crumbled hard scrambled eggs, dried out French toast sticks, bacon was good. Biscuits were rock hard and gravy like glue. Next was the lunch items. Actually not bad. Some sort of cheesey potato casserole that was good. Mashed potatoes ok with a meat in gravy. The menu on their website says the brunch has roasted chicken and ribs. Also ham for breakfast. None of that was there.. So all in all it is ok but won't be back. read more

We got in at 5:00 The waitresses were very nice we ordered our meal, when we received our meal it came out cold, four of us ordered steak and potato the potatoes were cold the steaks were cold another person ordered twice baked potato came out cold and burnt on top needless to say not happy with the food at all. read more

Service was SLOWWWW...but it was busy. It took over 20 minutes to get a drink, and about an hour and a half to get food. The ambiance is good, the drinks were decent, the food is not good. I'm not one to look for complimentary drinks, but our bill for two was over $80. Being that we were about to walk out, you think a drink or two would be comp'ed, but it wasn't. Let me start with the food was great and reasonably priced. The downfall was the service. We went there on a Sunday afternoon about 2 o'clock. We stood at the reception desk while the girl was on her cell phone. We stood there several minutes till another server came looking for something. Neither waiter acknowledged us. The one with the cell phone looked up and asked "for 2?" We were seated by the window with a nice view. Only one other table was occupied. Drink and food order were taken. The food arrived. We had a long wait to get our check at the end of the meal. She was running around checking ketchup bottles and glasses were clinking behind me. The server was not terribly friendly and had a towel sticking out of her back pocket. Thought it was strange for a waiter. When we left, there was no thank you come again from anyone. Stopped with 7 family members on Sunday afternoon. Seated right away on the patio. Music was good, waitress had a lot of personality and made it fun. Well... definitely no more now The worst thing was being greeted with ... take any table that isn't dirty ! She was correct. Most diners were on the deck. 3 tables of inside customers and a Big GARBAGE can was in the middle of the tables in the dining room. ( I'm not sure inspectors would approve) The hostess was also the server and bus the tables person. Shame on the management in not better staffing on a nice day for boating . The cheese curds were soggy and very cold. The fries were frozen on the inside. The manager tried to help at first, but walked away when we were speaking to her. Our server immediately could tell our feelings were hurt by the rude gesture, and tried to cover for her boss. The server did great, she truly tried to make sure our experience was better. Arguably Winneconne's pride and joy. Supper club, banquet hall and river cruiser. On Wolf River it is a beautiful place in the summer to sit in the patio. Their menu has everything from steaks to sandwiches. I ordered a Bloody Mary and it was delicious. The waitress was helpful and friendly. I ordered some poppers and a burger. I love this place because you can go in your jeans and be comfortable but if you want to get dressed up for a night on the town with your honey this place would work too. Cozy and intimate setting will give you the atmosphere you want. They also have a banquet room and a fun paddle boat you can rent for a dinner boat cruise. I will definitely be back. read more

First time here with hubby, just wanted to sit outside on the water and have a few drinks. It was busy on a beautiful Saturday, but we found a table right away out on the back deck. Our server acknowledged us w/in maybe 10 min, and again, and again. Finally stopped at our table to take our order 20 min after sitting. It was at least 45 minutes before we had our first drink delivered. We immediately ordered another one thinking it was going to take a long time. It did, another 25 min for that one. She looked stressed and busy, so we didn't get mad, but I don't think we would go back. read more

Was headed back to southern WI on Wednesday the second and stopped in for an early lunch. Delicious Prime rib sandwich. My little niece loves her red meat so had to split it with her. Really nice salad bar and really cool location. It even looked like there was some loons on the lake which I had asked the waitress about. This is a true Wisconsin institution. I used to come here when I was a little girl with my family as we boated up and down the Wolf River. It was fun to revisit this past Saturday for a wedding. The bar staff was attentive as we waited for the reception to start. Tv's in every corner played the Badger game. They even brought out an additional tv when one was not working. And while they had to dig deep to find my husband a Johnny Walker Black Label my Old Fashion was quickly served with cherries on top - and only $3.75. And when in Wisconsin, you ought to have an Old Fashion. The wedding reception was buffet style and the broasted chicken and baked fish were yummy. Someone told me the chicken tenders were like chicken jerkey but everything I tasted was great. I know the bride requested a kid friendly menu and my kids didn't complain. There was Kraft Mac and Cheese and corn dogs as well. Now this isn't a fine dining experience by any means. But for what it is, it is wonderful. And I would be remiss if I failed to mention the beautiful room. We were on the second floor in a hall that comfortably sat 100-150 people. Some tables had to come up to make room for the dance floor. The room itself is very nice with pine wood panelling but the wrap around windows over looking the river and Winneconne bridge are what make it special. The Bride was able to get in the night before and decorate the room herself which was nice for a budget minded wedding. My only complaint is they started packing up chairs and tables at 10:15pm. The wedding invite said the end time was 10:30 so I am not sure if there was some sort of arrangement made by the Bride but it did seem a bit abrupt to be rapidly kicked out in the 15 minute time frame. Most of us had kids with us including the Bride so it worked out just as well and we had a great time. read more

I attended a wedding dinner and reception which took place on the boat. While most of the food was good I had some type of orange dessert on my plate that had mold on it. I showed it to the staff and told them to check on the rest of it. There wasn't any apology she just said "ewww gross" and tossed my plate in the trash. While I understand things happen, neither of the staff bothered to check the remaining dessert left on the buffet table. I walked past it to go outside and saw that what was sitting on the table had several mold spots and it was never removed. I am not the person who got married but I'm sure they paid a good amount of money for their buffet and should expect better than this! read more

Average at best! Not real friendly staff - bar staff mostly. Good salad that was fresh and good variety. Lovely warm bread too! I ordered the rib eye steak medium rare, came out half cooked nicely but other half was well done. Considering I paid $23 for the steak I would have expected an offer for a freshly cooked one or a discounted price. Ribs were drenched in a too sweet sauce. I've been suffering this place for years, as it is close to where my folks live in neighboring Larsen, Wisco. They seem to like it. The bar seems like it's always full. The cocktails are very very good. I surmise they are famous for their buffet. I cannot understand why. The Salad division is the only part I can say much good about. Along with the usual suspects, you can find Wisco-centric stuff like pickled Gizzards and Herring. Not bad. There are always a coupla-three soups that all taste like they from a can or mix. The entrees somehow taste like they originated in the kitchens of Swanson. On the bright side, I've had a piece Prime Rib here that was excellent. But that was once. I've also had the AYCE Fish-Fry which was fine. That was once, too. But the Buffet is almost inedible... Service not as bad as some of the other Yelpers say. Caveat emptor... read more

Stopped in while in the area for breakfast. Definitely their slow season, only a few tables dining. However, pleasantly surprised with a really fantastic Eggs Benedict! New to the area, and I normally don't write reviews, but after the service and food we received on Thursday, July 14th, I had to reach out. I believe our server said his name was Paul, and he is usually a bartender. It was a hot beautiful afternoon, and the deck was packed. He might have been the only person waiting tables. To say he was outstanding is an understatement. Simply amazing service. I saw the situation and thought we were in for a wait. But, let me tell you, he was fast and efficient, kind of like the "road runner." He was running drinks and food all around constantly while still managing to get our huge order quickly. He made us feel so welcome and even cracked a few funny jokes. We ordered 9 different mixed drinks, including kiddy cocktails and iced coffees. Not only did we get the delicious drinks, and yes, they were good, he delivered them with a smile after making them himself! He made me a skinny margarita (the best I ever had), so I asked how he made it and forgot already . My hubby had an old, fashion which he said was absolutely one of the best. He doesn't even like them that much usually. He recommended the pizza and cheese curds, which were a perfect choice. Everything was great, and he refilled the kid's drinks and checked on us regularly. Please let him know we really appreciated him and his service; I can't say enough. Oh yeah, then we asked if we could have some separate checks, and he did it perfectly. I used to wait tables, and I know what a pain large groups can be. He gave the best service we've had anywhere in a long time, not to mention how busy he was with surrounding tables as well. Last comment, I promise, the most impressive, besides the drinks lol, is we were very thirsty and didn't want to bother him for 9 glasses of water; low and behold, before the food came, he brought a tray full of ice water for anyone who wanted them. Now that is service. Thank you, Fin and Feather, for an awesome lunch and simply outstanding service. We will be asking for him on our next visit if we can steal him away from the bar! Bartender were friendly and beer was good. Pulltabs were horrible and made me feel like I didnt belong on this earth. I had the seared Ahi Tuna and he had the buffalo wrap. Our accompanying teenager had the chicken tender sandwich and mini tacos. The tuna was excellent and served with brushetta that made with fresh chopped veggies. The views from the restaurant over the river are beautiful and you can eat outside too. Take caution with your bar tab, the only reason this is 4 stars is I found the drink prices were much higher than others in the Wisconsin area. Otherwise, great! read more

On the whole, this meal was underimpressive. The food was quite good. We started with ahi tuna, which was perfectly cooked and served on a bed of seaweed salad. It would have been excellent, except that a piece of sinew that should have been cut out had not even been sliced through and connected all the pieces of tuna together. Since you only get plastic utensils when eating outside, separating the pieces tuned a very nice presentation into hash. For entrees, we each had tacos, my wife the shrimp tacos and I had mahi-mahi. All the tacos were excellent in presentation, quality and quantity. What ruined our visit was the service. Our server was gruff and mostly absent. We sat for over 10 minutes with empty drinks and our empty appetizer plates on the table, during which she walked by twice without even acknowledging our presence. Her visits to the table were too infrequent and she was not particularly pleasant when she did talk to us. The final insult was when I called after we got home to see if they had found the hat I left there and was told that they'd look for it, then asked it I was going to pick it up that evening or the next day. They hadn't even verified that they had it, but I was supposed to drive there to get it on faith that they would find it. Went here last night (Fri), maybe the buffet was good in the past but it sucks now. paid $14.99 for instant potatoes with flavorless gravy really tiny shrimp and some fish options (all fried, 3 types). Sorry I expect more in a buffet than 6 total things. The waitress became a total b**ch when my husband wanted to know what beer they had and she had no clue. Ever heard of a beer list or beer menu? I was told that they have an awesome karaoke night, but I guess that's just on Mondays. My colleagues and I rented a house in Winneconne for EAA and went to FNF last nite. Upon entry, one can get lost because there are so many turns. There's the main bar, a restaurant area, and an upstairs for private parties. FNF is on a lake which is cool. I'm going to give this place 3 stars. The service was prompt and friendly. The prices are reasonable. However, I wasn't sold on the salmon. A bit too much dill and not enough flavor. read more

I LOVE awesome customer service and the staff definitely delivered awesome customer service! Very friendly and courteous. It was very easy to make reservations. Upon informing the staff that I don't eat meat or fried food (which is the majority of the buffet items on the boat) they quickly offered to make special arrangements for me. They prepared a special meal and boarded it on the boat for our dinner cruise!!! The cruise was really cool and made for a nice relaxing evening out. Highly recommend checking it out. This is the most disgusting buffet I have ever been to. I felt sick after eating here. The food was room temperature and almost cold. The pancakes were overcooked and chewy, the eggs tasted like they were powdered, and everything was overly salty. I will never go back to this restaurant. Never. Again. read more

Fresh fish I ate here was incredible. Beer was cold and cheese curds were piping hot. If you're looking for good bar food, I don't think it gets much better.
