2 of each type of oyster

Stopped into this quaint spot in RiNo - the oyster special caught our eye and didn't disappoint! The mignonette pearls were perfect! Talked with one of the owners, Sophie, and you can tell they are excited to be in the neighborhood and want to provide a spot for locals to frequent with a fun menu, great service and quality food! Best of luck!

The vibes here were amazing. Such attention to detail between the beachy plates down to the oysters on the bartenders' shirts. The drinks were delish, we ordered the fin and tonic (I mean, how could you not) and grandmas water, which was a favorite. The oysters were the star of the menu. We went when it was $1 oysters, and coming from a new englander, they were great. The one thing that threw me off was that there was no kitchen. There was an oven in the back of the bar where we watched them make it. While the crab cakes and the lobster sliders tasted great, it left a weird taste in my mouth knowing how it was made. Nonetheless, the place was great and would be an awesome spot for a first date. Super intimate with small plates.

One of my favorite openings of 2025 and a new go-to spot for cocktails and seafood bites for me (and out of town friends)! Friendly service, beautiful plating, delicious flavors, affordable prices, elegant vibes -- yes! - HH 3-5pm / 10pm-12am - 2-for-1 martinis Tuesdays - Definitely try their house Gin & Tonic (the lemon gin and celery bitters make it so refreshing), as well as the house Martini with anchovy olive brine. - The seafood tower is only $45 (oysters, shrimp, and crab)! - Caviar service is $80 and includes some great egg bites with tobiko, too! - Bass ceviche is zesty and delicious and just $12.

My group stumbled upon this place while we were in town and had to give it a try due to the Happy Hour oysters! They are only $1.50 and there are other Happy Hour items to try. The interior is very nice and it is cozy to hang out with friends. As for the food, I really liked the oysters with their special sauce. The truffle fries (not in Happy Hour 3-5 pm menu) were good. I also got the smoked mackerel dip and the Colorado bass ceviche. The mackerel dip was too salty and they paired it with just salty potato chips. I wish they gave bread/less salty chips because it was overall too salty to enjoy and it could be paired better. The Colorado bass ceviche was okay but lacked flavor and the fish was not cut properly so it made the ceviche harder to eat. The pairing with the chips also did not match. Overall, for Happy Hour, the prices are not terrible but the dishes could use slight changes to enhance flavor!

Fin N Tonic just opened on Larimer Street, and it has instantly become my new obsession. We visited a few days after opening, and everything--from the service to the seafood to the cocktails--was outstanding. The space is essentially a raw bar paired with a great cocktail bar, and they take both seriously. The seafood was incredibly fresh, the flavors were bright, and the drinks were some of the best I've had in Denver. Their signature Fin N' Tonic is now one of my favorite cocktails anywhere. We tried the Colorado bass ceviche, the seafood tower, and the caviar service. Everything was perfectly executed, but the ceviche in particular was packed with flavor, and the seafood tower was generous and high quality. The Ship-Faced Martini was another standout. Prices are surprisingly reasonable for the quality, and the vibe is casual but elevated. They don't take reservations, so just plan ahead. This place is absolutely worth the stop, and I'm already planning my next visit.

This place has a dark, sophisticated vibe. It's relatively small, but that makes it cozy. We ordered a variety of food and drinks and thought all of it was very good.

Shout to the team for having our table ready when we got there even though it was very busy that day. We started off with the Fall Salad and I think it was one of my favorite things we ordered. I had no idea beets can be that delicious! After that, everything else came out: roasted carrots, barramundi, and wagyu flank steak. They also put in an order or pommes frites (French fries) on accident and decided to give it to us on the house. Thanks! The roasted carrots were really good and sweet. You could tell they were quality carrots. The barramundi was another one of my favorites. I'm a fan of fish and they did an excellent job of cooking the barramundi with a great sauce(?) that tasted great with it. I found the wagyu steak flank overcooked and really salty which was disappointing given the price. The pommes frites were cooked well but also extremely salty. Overall, I would recommend Sunday Vinyl if you are trying to take someone to a place that is unique and don't mind paying a bit extra. It is a bit loud in there (we had to raise our voices a bit to hold a conversation) but it is also a vinyl place so you would expect them to show off their music.

The menu was recently refreshed and it shows. The mushroom paella was loaded and perfectly cooked, the burrata was a solid start, and the Turkish pizza with halloumi was a surprise standout. The poached cod was also great, especially the sauce. The drinks were just as strong. The L5 margarita with salt foam was really good, and even the frosé, which I usually skip, worked perfectly here. The vibe is a big part of it. The downtown views are hard to beat and the patio is easily one of the better ones in the city. Inside also feels intentional and well designed. Service was excellent. Avery was our server and it was her first day, which you wouldn't have guessed. Carl and Mark also made the experience feel smooth and welcoming. For dessert, the Lisbon chocolate cake and Turkish kunefe were both great. The Basque cheesecake and lobster salad also stood out and had those memorable bites that stick with you. Overall, a really strong experience and definitely a place worth making a reservation for.

Loved the perfectly chewy ropes of bucatini tangled with crumbled blue cheese, Castelvetrano olives -- and vodka sauce? This should've been a weird disaster, but wound up being our table's favorite dish. Every dish is a commitment to the genuinely unexpected. There was something delightfully more than just salt, pepper and fry behind the eggroll-sized mozarella sticks. Then there was the fig gelato, flanked by warm pear -- and oh my gosh, the apple tart! We had to go back and reread the menu to realize that the caramel really was spicy! This kitchen really finds the funky note in a dish and leans into it. Come ready to share. Every item comes in a "single" and a "mingle" size, which was great for our table of four. We would order 1-2 mingle-sized items, pass them around, and argue about who gets the last forkful. The rough edge is perhaps the service, but this spot is new and finding its rhythm. We found the handoff between counter and floor to be clunky, since it felt like pressure to order in order to be seated, not to order drinks and wait for a table. Maybe this works in a larger space. Maybe they just need to smooth out the flow. Either way, the people are sweet, and the food delicious.

I've been staying at home, but was out of some of the beer I wanted to use. I went out for another errand and happened to pass by Cask and Craft. Hmmm...this sounds interesting. Plus it's a local shop, and I'm all about supporting local, particularly during this time. I pulled up Cask and Craft's website and was super happy to see the list of precautions they are taking to keep their customers safe. Some of these precautions include only 2 people in the shop at a time, use provided hand sanitizer when you enter, and even curbside pick up/delivery. Since I was sitting in front of the store, I figured I'd just go in, get what I needed, and quickly head home. I was greeted and asked to use the hand sanitizer upon entering - yes, thank you. I then explained from a distance that I was looking for a dark beer, preferably a stout. I was escorted to the back of the store and shown the fridge with all the dark beer. WOW! big selection. I had the choice of 6 packs, 4 packs, or mix and match. This was perfect for me because I needed 5 beers. I ended up selecting Jackie O's Java the Stout. When I brought up my 5 pack, the owner told me it was a great beer (one of his favorite dark beers) and that it was a solid choice. He was not wrong. This beer is awesome, and paired so well with my peanut butter cookie pairing. So good. I will definitely be back to Cask and Craft.
