Service was wonderful and inside was cute, cozy, and divey. Oozing with character. Food wasn't the best for us. Oysters were really good. Fresh, plump east coast maroon bells. Happy hour prices on them are best in town at 1.50 a pop. Truffle fries were pretty good too. Crispy, fresh, and loaded with truffle oil. The crab salad cannoli was a miss. It was so incredibly salty, and we couldn't actually taste crab, though visually we could see it. Cannoli shell offered a reprieve from the intense salt, but didn't add anything to the dish. Seasoned way too aggressively. Caviar was wonderful. Buttery, salty... loved the caviar. Shrimp cocktail was also a miss. We did not enjoy the seasoning on it, and we wish it had cocktail sauce instead of green salsa. The shrimp itself didn't seem fresh, or maybe it was prepared weird, or maybe it was the seasoning. Scallop ceviche was lacking acid, but was otherwise okay. We did not enjoy the crawfish dip. It was very loose, kind of like a sauce. I was hoping it would be like chunky and substantial, or maybe like a smoked trout dip, but it was not. More like grainy ketchup. For dessert we got the french silk chocolate pie. The pie filling was very nice and balanced. The cookie bottom and crust was way too intensely sweet and chocolate. Kind of like fudge level of sweetness. Inedible for us, but at least we could scoop out and enjoy the filling. I could see us maybe coming back here strictly for oysters and caviar. Everything else was very disappointing and not cheap. read more

Cool divey bar. Came here with a friend on a Saturday afternoon and it had a decent little crowd, especially outside on the patio. I ordered a drink called Umami mami, which is a mezcal drink infused with kimchi. Super tasty and interesting mix of flavors! Would highly recommend. They also have some cool happy hour deals, including $1.50 for oysters! I thought the brine was a little weird on the oysters and it needed some citrus / lemons, but hey. Can't complain about $1.50 oysters. I think the Shrimp cocktail is also a great deal. I didn't order it myself but the table next to us ordered two! And they looked delicious. Overall, cool spot. And hey, there are a lot of cool joints nearby too like Los Chingones next door if you wanna roam around! read more

I was genuinely excited to try Fin & Tonic, but unfortunately it was one disappointment after another. If Yelp allowed zero stars, that's what I'd be giving. The "Ship Faced" cocktail was one of the worst drinks I've ever been served. It literally tasted like someone popped open an oyster and poured the juice directly into a glass of vodka. Not oyster-inspired. Not pleasantly briny. Just oyster liquor and vodka. It was so unpleasant that I took two sips and couldn't force myself to drink any more. The Mango Spritz wasn't any better. It was thick, aggressively sour, and had absolutely none of the light, refreshing qualities a spritz should have. There was no balance, no refreshment, and certainly no "spritz." Two sips and that one was abandoned as well. The truffle fries were incredibly bland, with only the faintest hint of truffle flavor. If someone told me they forgot to season them, I'd believe it. The caviar was honestly the only decent thing we had, which isn't exactly a compliment considering it came straight from a tin and required no real preparation. The lobster sliders tasted like the lid fell off the pepper shaker as a practical joke and the kitchen decided to roll with it. The amount of pepper completely overwhelmed any lobster flavor. The happy hour oysters also tasted questionable and far from fresh. Whether they were actually bad or not, they tasted concerning enough that I spent the rest of the evening wondering if I was going to regret eating them later. When both cocktails are undrinkable after two sips, the fries are bland, the sliders are buried under pepper, and the oysters leave you nervous, there's not much positive to say. Very disappointing experience from start to finish. read more

The vibes here were amazing. Such attention to detail between the beachy plates down to the oysters on the bartenders' shirts. The drinks were delish, we ordered the fin and tonic (I mean, how could you not) and grandmas water, which was a favorite. The oysters were the star of the menu. We went when it was $1 oysters, and coming from a new englander, they were great. The one thing that threw me off was that there was no kitchen. There was an oven in the back of the bar where we watched them make it. While the crab cakes and the lobster sliders tasted great, it left a weird taste in my mouth knowing how it was made. My group stumbled upon this place while we were in town and had to give it a try due to the Happy Hour oysters! They are only $1.50 and there are other Happy Hour items to try. The interior is very nice and it is cozy to hang out with friends. As for the food, I really liked the oysters with their special sauce. The truffle fries (not in Happy Hour 3-5 pm menu) were good. I also got the smoked mackerel dip and the Colorado bass ceviche. The mackerel dip was too salty and they paired it with just salty potato chips. I wish they gave bread/less salty chips because it was overall too salty to enjoy and it could be paired better. The Colorado bass ceviche was okay but lacked flavor and the fish was not cut properly so it made the ceviche harder to eat. The pairing with the chips also did not match. Overall, for Happy Hour, the prices are not terrible but the dishes could use slight changes to enhance flavor! read more

If you're a seafood lover, you need to try this place. We've been a few times for happy hour and love it. Shrimp cocktail is great, the shrimp are huge and the green sauce is very flavorful. They also have great martinis that pair well with all the seafood... a girl dinner dream! Fin N Tonic just opened on Larimer Street, and it has instantly become my new obsession. We visited a few days after opening, and everything--from the service to the seafood to the cocktails--was outstanding. The space is essentially a raw bar paired with a great cocktail bar, and they take both seriously. The seafood was incredibly fresh, the flavors were bright, and the drinks were some of the best I've had in Denver. Their signature Fin N' Tonic is now one of my favorite cocktails anywhere. We tried the Colorado bass ceviche, the seafood tower, and the caviar service. Everything was perfectly executed, but the ceviche in particular was packed with flavor, and the seafood tower was generous and high quality. The Ship-Faced Martini was another standout. Prices are surprisingly reasonable for the quality, and the vibe is casual but elevated. They don't take reservations, so just plan ahead. This place is absolutely worth the stop, and I'm already planning my next visit. read more

We stopped in for a quick bite before heading to a show last night, and were delighted by the entire experience. The ambiance is perfect for a date night or happy hour. The service was great and the food well balanced and tasty. We had ahi tacos and lobster sliders, which were amazing, and a flight of oysters that were incredibly fresh. They've got great drink options, and great options for some food! They have a small patio out front if you want the fresh air. Inside is also fairly small, with a bar and a few lounge areas. I'm sure during a busier time it may have felt more cramped. The only issue I had was with the restrooms. Not gender neutral and you have to leave and go through the connecting restaurant to get to them. I know it's due to how the building is but as a trans person that is important to me.
