Disappointed with the cake I had received from them. I gave them simple requests such as a navy blue cake, smooth all around with piping on top and the bottom of the cake. When I received it, there was glitter on the sides. My cousin went to pick it up and they had asked if she wanted to add more on top... she was very confused cause there wasn't supposed to be any. I later called and ask why there was glitter there on the sides of my cake the first place and they were very hesitant and nervous to answer.... I'm done with Final Touch. I've come to them for years for my two daughters birthday cakes, cakes for family and friends and they were beautiful and delicious. Most recently, the quality has gone down. I was already unhappy with a cake from last year, but decided to give them another chance this year. The first pic is the inspiration I gave to them and they saved a copy of the picture. The second picture is what I got. The colors weren't blended, there were hard lines and the dripping was terrible. How could you even send out a cake like that? I made it known right away that the cake was nothing I asked for. "What would you like to do?" was the response I got. I needed a cake for a party on the same day so I had to take it. My daughter was so unhappy and I called them to ask for a credit. They were nice enough to offer a replacement cake. However, that meant we had to drive back and the cake wasn't even ready at the time they told us to come. Plus they asked for the original cake back. And do what with it?! The replacement cake looked more like the picture but it was dry and not as good. At first sight this location is super cute and looks professional; however, that is almost the opposite of what to expect from this business. The shop will give you an appointment time for pick up on the day of your event and when the customers show up, the cake is not ready. Not only that but other customers will get their cake before you with a 5 minute wait while you're here for almost an HOUR. I find this really disrespectful because working as a pastry shop, people want to pick up their cake on the day of the event not the day before the event. There was a lady here before me who waited a long while before receiving her cake. I still have not. I am sitting here writing my review as I have waited over 45 minutes past appointment time. My recommendation for this business is to call their customers if the pick up time is not as expected or to give customer a call when the cake is actually ready. It is unfortunate that a business with so much potential can upset customers on what may be their most stressful and important day. I hope to see this business improve in the near future. read more

Sometimes it's very moist and sometimes not (-1 star). They can get pricey depending on your design. Tips: get your own figurines and have them decorate it. i am extremely upset and dissappointed that i have to write this review. i have ordered from here before and it was fine but i was so shocked and speechless at how dry the cake was that I ordered on saturday. I was mortified when I took my first bite and couldnt even swallow because of how dry the cake was. I brought this to a party and had to apologize for how awful this was. 4 slices were cut leaving 3/4 of the cake straight to the trash. i stopped serving the cake because i was so embarrassed. literally those who were unfortunanly served before i had to remove it from the table took a bite and was so dissappointed. never again! literally threw $40 in the trash. read more

I highly do not recommend Final Touch for gender reveal cakes!! My friend warned me about them messing up other gender reveal cakes, but I insisted on ordering my cake here because they make good cakes. How can they possibly mess up?! It's either pink if it's a girl and blue if it's a boy! We are having a girl, but when I cut the cake it was this light subtle blue!!! I couldn't believe they messed it up. It was very embarrassing!! I still can't believe how they can easily mess up on something so easy and straight forward. Final Touch, thanks for ruining our gender reveal!!! We also ordered a baptism cake for our goddaughter and the writing on it was horrendous! Emailed them an inquiry several days before in which I never got a reply to, so I re-sent the email, still no reply so I called and they apologized for missing my email then told me how they couldn't do the specific cake my sister wanted, because they needed the notice in advance (which they got-but it was their fault they didn't open the email) So, I kept them on the phone to proceed with a new order that they could do in a day. My sister decided on a blue rosette cake and specifically told them that she wanted the "mixed berries filling, with ONLY strawberries". She even repeated it when reviewing the order. The cake was $45, no big deal-it's a cake & it was "last minute". Came home to cut into it and see that it's not a fresh cake at all. It also was not "only strawberries"-it was the typical mixed berries. The white cake was dry-not moist in the slightest. It was crumbly, OLD cake. The frosting that they made the roses out of? Ridiculously HARD. My dad tried to take off the top layer of roses cause the candle sparks got on it-so he didn't want anyone to consume that section, and he was struggling to wipe off FROSTING. He had to scrape at it and even then it was being shaved off in small increments until he gave up and told everyone to avoid the "blue". I can not believe they would sell a cake that old. It's been on the shelf in their fridge for days. And if they reply to this saying that it was fresh? Then now you know it's disgusting fresh as well. If you want a delicious tasting cake, go to Great Dane. My sister even agreed with me that we should've ordered it from there. It's the perfect combination of a pound cake and a fruit cake. Since I am not Vietnamese, communication can be a little tough, but overall, with a well-printed photo, there's nothing that Final Touch can't do. The language barrier was never an issue for me, just as long as you are clear with what you want. In short, the workers are incredibly kind, so they'll do their best to accommodate and make you feel comfortable in placing your cake order. Of the many years that I have ordered from Final Touch, I personally believe their specialty is their 'naked cake.' I've purchased their naked cakes several times. Depending on the size of your cake, your naked cake could vary between $35-$100. Here is a picture of a recent naked cake that I ordered for my cousin's baby shower. It is a two tiered cake (6 inches on the top and 8 inches on the bottom), coming out to a grand total of exactly $100. Side note: they don't include fresh flowers if you want that added to your cake, but if you purchase them at your local flower shop, they would be more than happy to replicate your photo. How sweet! So then I asked what if it was just the cake and the Wonder Woman logo, she said $100. I just wanted to laugh because now you're saying the tiara fondant is worth a hundred bucks??? I don't think so ma'am. I've purchased their cakes in the past and it was decent and reasonably priced but I'm not spending $200 bucks for a 6in cake for my baby to destroy and not for everyone to enjoy. We ordered a cake for my friends engagement and everyone loved how it looked and tasted! My only caveat to this bakery is that they seem terrible with their emails. I emailed them inquiries twice over 2 weeks and there was no reply until I called them and asked them to reply. Even then, they sent us the wrong price sheet! I LOVE CAKES! I came here for cake tasting for a large party I was throwing. I was able to sample the mixed berries, red velvet, chocolate, mango cream, mocha, and one other one I cannot remember. They were all good. My favorites were the red velvet and mixed berries. The chocolate was also good. Compared to other Asian bakeries, their butter cream frosting is better. Red Velvet had a light cream cheese frosting that was pretty good comparatively. Their cakes are moist but not drenched like some I have tried. My least favorite of the six was the mango cream and the one I cannot remember. I think their prices were $2.75 per person (correct me if I am wrong). I remember compared to the local Asian bakeries, they are a tad bit pricier. They charge for a cake stand and I think a fee for delivery. As for service, the girl in charge was really sweet and not pushy. I've never had a bad experience with customer service there. The cake tasting was a fun experience. Be sure to call ahead and schedule an appointment. You are seated in a small cute, hipster-y room and you're given 15-20 minutes to sample all of their cake options. They also give you 2 binders of past weddings cakes they've done to serve as a guideline/inspiration for your cake design. Cake Flavors Available: * Mocha * Red Velvet * Mixed Berries * Green Tea with Sesame frosting * Chocolate with Chocolate and/or Cookies n' Cream frosting * Rasberry * Mango Our cake was 4 tiers and fed all 250 of our guests, with plenty extra to spare! We chose the infamous mixed berry flavor with vanilla buttercream and received so many compliments on the flavor. It was very fresh, moist, and not overly sweet. Total cost was $600. We provided Queenie our own flowers and she did an amazing job at cascading them across our cake (this was a complimentary service). The overall presentation was simple, elegant, and beautifully captured my love for Disney. The ONLY thing that went wrong was that my cake topper was too heavy for our cake and it ended up shattering after the top tier started shifting under all that weight. Totally an error on my stubborn part but Queenie tried her best to stabilize it and make my vision come true. I just wish I got a chance to actually enjoy more of the wedding cake myself! Note to brides (and grooms): You will rarely get a chance to eat any of the delicious food on your special day because you'll be so busy entertaining your guests! Our wedding coordinator did save and pack our top tier to bring home, but we didn't even get a chance to enjoy that!
