They showed up on-time, in person, even for bids, etc. Was not the cheapest bid I received, but I really felt like they knew what they were talking about and boy was a right. Legit took three days to tear off and re-roof our entire house - and we live on a hill where they had to carry every bundle of shingles up a ladder (as well as carry down all the tear-off). Right when they started tearing off, there was reports of a storm coming in later in the week and they sent in a second crew and finished well before raindrops started. The estimate I received from them was similar to estimates and type of roof shingles from two other companies. However, three things about Final Touch stood from talking to Lia, the representative, on the phone. One, they use their own employees, who knew what to do and worked well as a team. Two, she said that they use better than contractor grade underlayer. As one who's done landscaping work, I know most landscapers would use standard contractor grade weed barrier cloth, which tends to disintegrate rapidly, so I appreciate their using above grade material. We obtained 5 estimates and in the end, we went with Ovi of Final Touch Roofing because he's the only one that mentioned installing the Low-E Therma Sheet, which will definitely  lower the temperature in your attic. We installed a Owens Corning Cool roof, along with the Low-E Therma Sheet. Ovi also obtained the Los Angeles city permit, and provided us with the information necessary to obtain a rebate from the city. The work was performed on time and professionally. I can't think of one aspect in this experience that wasn't 5 stars. I did a fair amount of research, got 3 bids, and they came in a little under the others. More importantly, Ovi gave me a good vibe when he came to the property. He is NOT a salesman, just a straight shooter (which I prefer). Top notch work. The roof looks fantastic with low-profile vents. Everything was above board - permitted/inspected by a third party... It took 3 DAYS! He had at least 8 guys up there busting their butts. They not only cleaned up after themselves, but they cleaned the ally next to the house that was littered with trash (not their mess). First, Lia listened to my dilemma with being canceled by my insurance company because where I live is now considered a fire zone. Lia rescheduled other jobs so my new roof could be finished before my homeowners insurance expired and I'd be forced to purchase the very expensive California Fair Plan. When my old roof was taken down, everything on my patio had to be placed on the lawn because of the debri. They not only made sure every bit of dirt, roofing paper and shingles were cleaned up, they left my patio spotless, and put everything back in its place perfect, even the bubbles in the exact place on the patio table. Plus, the crew worked really fast. It was done in three days. I will now qualify fir a typical homeowners insurance plan that includes coverage for water damage and fire. Then, I overpaid by a lot, and was immediately called and refunded. Lia and Ovi have integrity. It doesn't end there! Late Friday, I had to ask for additional verification from Lia and Ovi, and they sent me detailed photos of the roof, from every angle, and a detailed letter outlining the work. This is a long review as it was long project for us. In short, do your roofer shopping but Final Touch is as good as it gets. I doubt you will find anyone better than Final Touch. We had a few problems to solve: 1. Old shingle roof shredding granulates and exposing the fiberglass strands inside. 2. Upstairs temperature got up to 90s. Interior ceiling temperature in one room could reach 110F. It was a dry sauna. We installed attic insulation (R38) already. It was good at keeping heat in winter, but no match for San Fernando Valley summer sun. During summer the attic and upstair won't cool down until close to midnight. 3. Flashing done wrong in two places. The last crew who did the roof was not professional roofer. We went thru 4 roofers, hope this help you anticipate the type of roofers you will encounter: 1. Final Touch Roofing - Ovi was spot in in his quote, pointed a few things I should watch out for. Lia and Ovi didn't hard sell or up sell me. What they promised was in the quote. Their price was reasonable (you know don't go with the cheapest right?) 2. Roofer B - a sales lady came out. She did the whole "if you sign up today you get a deal" pitch. Not tomorrow. Had to be now. Forced me listen to her sales pitch. With online videos you can educate yourself the basics of roofing. She made it sound it "synthetic underlayment" was real special treat that only they can offer. 3. Roofer C - what he promised was not in written quote. Amongst other things, promised me permit fee was included. The printed quote said permit fee was up to me. Kept wanting to "talk it out" and "correct later" 4. Roofer D - Good guy, good experience, but kept trying to up sell me. I live in the suburb. Not Bel Air mansion. We installed Owens Corning Duration Cool Shasta White. It is the basic Cool Roof with sureNail strip. Shasta White is lightest and most reflective (SRI Solar reflective index). You can get a darker color with the same SRI and it will cost more. Shasta white worked for us. We installed *16* o'Hagin low profile vents in high and low positions to encourge convection. It was part of the quote. oHagin website has a calculator to check how many vents you need. I think 1 sq ft of vent for every 300 sq ft of roof. 1 vent is 1/2 sq ft. So I have 8 sq ft of ventilation. Upstairs temperature drops by 5-10F. We feel the chi flowing better. Upstair warms up very slowly during the day and cools down a lot faster when night falls. It was the opposite before. We reclaim our upstairs. We used to avoid upstairs until after 10pm. Hands down we beat our neighors in roof vents count. I contemplated but in the end avoided solar vents. It doesn't move much air CFM-wise unless you install a lot of them (at $300-400/each). Moreover, how would I know the motor still working years from now? For that reason I avoided power vent as well. We stuck with passive venting. I skipped low-e therma sheet. I saw a video you need an air gap between tile and sheet for heat to reflect, etc. In short, I didn't know the science and believed the 16 ohagins was biggest bang for buck. Your mileage varies. You can give it a try. I had some wrong flashing details previously. Small details mean whether you have a leak or not. Final touch fixed that for me. The crew was professional, on time, clean up very nicely after themselves. Most important they listened and helped me address a few small things, it was a sign that they liked working at Final Touch. BTW you should budget to buy the crew lunch here and there. They appreciate it. Maybe set up table and chairs outdoor. It made a difference when you have last minute 'perfectionist' requests =) If you read this far you should hire Final Touch already. They are very good. read more

We got estimates from several companies and Final Touch was pretty competitive. Ovi came out for the estimate and was friendly and professional and knowledgeable and normal. He wore a mask the entire time. We ultimately decided to go with Final Touch because of the perfect reviews here on Yelp (which is so hard to do) along with competitive pricing and a low-key, no pressure sell. I hate being "sold" to. Ovi's crew was able to start work as promised and it was all completed in about a week. The crew was nice and they worked so hard in the heat. Our roof looks amazing. Note: as reviews for Final Touch are pretty great on yelp, Ovi is a pretty busy guy so it can take a minute or two to reach him (especially during the business day as he's working at different sites). He was always responsive though. We did also have a few minor hiccups but he sent his crew out to fix everything, every time, without question. Oh, and we did find nails. And nails, and more nails after the job was complete. And they did a magnetic sweep three times on the property. But, we still find nails everywhere. The shingles I got were Owens Corning Duration so finding a preferred installer was important for me as far as warranty and peace of mind. 2. Pricing was very competitive and fair. 3. When we are recently ready to redo our big roofing project (after delaying it for a while due to the $$$ involve) we began to get quotes from various roofing companies in Los Angeles. We already have four quotes from different roofing companies, and we cannot decide - then my co-worker recommended Final Touch Roofing. From scheduling for a free inspection, proposal, contract, and payment options. Lia and Ovi are very responsive and very patient in answering questions (that might have been asked of them so many times). After doing research, and comparing quotes, yes, they are not the cheapest, but I believe that they are the most straightforward and gave us an honest almost all-inclusive quote considering the condition of the roof at the time of the inspection - that made the quote reasonable- no worries of additional $$$ surprise might be at the end. They started the roof removal and replacement (flat and pitched roof) as scheduled and cleaned up nicely after removing the old roofing. They replaced a couple of fascia boards and rafters that were rotten but the dimensions and sq ft of the boards were quite right. They came out and corrected the mismatches and painted them to match the existing ones. The new roof really looks great. Our duplex (approx. 3400sq ft, backhouse is 2 story) was done and the final inspection from the city was completed within a week. My house, built in the 1950's, with an AC unit on the roof was in desparate need of a re-roof. I was losing gravel, shingles and because of our wet winter, had leaks around the AC. I called multiple companys, a few didnt even respond, but Final Touch did. They were able to come out and give an estimate. Very fair price. All the roofing company's are extremely busy right now so you must have patience. Even after agreeing to the price and signing the contract it was at least a 6 week waiting time. Ovi and Lia are great and keep you updated. I ended up getting a call from Lia and she said "you are next!!". The whole process, tear off, re roof, (i also did the therma layer) and permitting etc was about 2 weeks. The crew was awesome, cleaned up every day, and at the end of everything I hardly had anything to clean up. Be forewarned, make sure you tarp or cover anything that is in the attached garage because the tear off can be messy. However that is not a negative at all on Final Touch. They warned me!
