Because of an prior disastrous roofing experience with an unscrupulous roofing contractor, I put off replacing my roof. I hired Final Touch roofing after interviewing 6 other roofing companies. The work was to be extensive; including a complete tear off, remove, sanitize and install attic insulation, Low E Therma Sheet, followed by a new Owens Corning cool roof. Each of the separate parts of my new roof had excellent, courteous crews who worked together seamlessly. Crews were on time, worked the entire day tirelessly, were properly outfitted and careful. The demolition crew protected my planters and plants by making a tent over each area, attaching tarps to the roof instead of hanging the heavy canvas over the plants and breaking them. Bags and bags of old, damaged insulation, discarded and broken wood, rat droppings, assorted debris and trash was removed from my attic. In narrow areas, insulation was blown in with the rest having R38 insulation batts placed. It was all done from the roof down, instead of through the inside of house. I can't recommend this enough! Going through the house would have been a nightmare given the amount of trash removed. Once done, the openings were replaced with new wood. There was extensive damage to the wood roof all of which was replaced. While the amount exceeded the contractual allowance, I'm grateful any questionable wood was replaced.. A waterproof membrane along with the Low E Therma Sheet were next put on the roof, followed by my asphalt shingle of choice. Both Ovi and Lia were instrumental in assisting with color choices for everything including the architectural attic vents at the ridge line which are low and flat, replacing the big ugly bubbles of my prior electronic ignition attic fans. The entire process went smoothly and was completed on time. The crew cleaned up daily, using a large rolling magnet to pick up nails and all metal. Ovi was on site at least once daily. We communicated throughout the job. Once done, the final inspection was timely and I received invoices and documents promptly. I am already realizing the benefit of new insulation, as my house is no longer freezing morning and nights. I haven't had to turn on the heat constantly. When I do, the house is quickly warm and remains that way. This has been an excellent experience. I can heartily recommend Final Touch roofing. We chose Final Touch over the original roofer who had done our roof 27 years ago. Ovi's estimate was reasonable and I'm glad we chose Final Touch. Ovi, Lia and his Final Touch Roofing crew are amazing. Ovi recommended Cool Roof Shingles with a solar reflective rating and also a Low-E Insulation that goes under the shingles to reflect the heat. We are so glad we ordered them. We noticed a difference in the temperature on a hot day so it should help with the energy savings down the road. I moved in to a new home last winter and about 2 weeks in noticed a pretty nice leak above the entryway. I had reached out to Ovi about a repair and he came out and provided an estimate to repair as well as a ballpark on reroof. Ultimately we decided to just wait it out and do a reroof. Fast forward a few months and I start gathering estimates on a reroof and reached back out to final touch to provide a formal estimate. Four weeks ago, and during all these rains, I gave a call to Ovi & Lia at Final Touch Roofing. I had three leaks in my living room in different areas of the room. Lia honestly told me that they were backed up by about 2 & 1/2 to three & 1/2 weeks. It went to three & 1/2 weeks after they came out to do the job. Four weeks ago, Ovi came out after two days, calling him and asking him to come out, and he bounded on the roof, and honestly quoted me a price $550 less than other roofer competitors in the top ten on YELP in Glendale had offered. So, he provided a much cheaper offer, and did the job more, if not, just as effectively as his top 10 YELP competitor. I guess, there's a reason Final Touch Roofing is backed up with work. In addition, during all the rains, it was Lia who actually was kind enough to respond in a timely manner, and was willing to provide me with an honest time-frame of when they'd most likely come, but because of all the rains, she said it may take longer for Ovi to repair the roof. Our flat roof had been leaking for a while, but we kept putting off calling a roofer because we were dreading the whole process. Ok this review if VERY late in being posted. Ovi and Lea did a roof for us about 6 months ago. They are very professional, responded fast, gave us a very competitive price, and did a very nice job. My only recommendation: We did not know the vents on the roof for the attic, and the metal that meets where two angles come together, would all be left metal, and not spray painted to match the roofing material. The tall air vents for the plumbing were painted. No big deal I will get up there and spray them, just pointing it out so you can ask them to paint these for you. Decided to get a new roof based on concerns about leaking after a storm last fall. We found Final Touch Roofing on Yelp. We had another roofer out and they gave us an estimate without getting on the roof. It was a patching job without any guarantees other than they'd come out in a few years and do more if it didn't work. Didn't seem ideal and we wanted a more long-term solution. Ovi came out, got up on the roof and really seemed to know his stuff. We went with his estimate. His team worked hard over several days. We were home these days and they were always on the roof doing work. The roof looks great and is supposed to save our energy bill during the summer. Price seemed reasonable. We saw Ovi on several days and could imagine he had several jobs going at the same time. He was always super professional. We feel like we have a roof for the next 10 years at least. I hired Ovi and his crew to replace the roof on my house - about 4000 square feet of roof and two skylights. I have an attic, so I opted for the Low-E insulator as well. The job took just a few days with the exception of the skylights which I decided to replace while they were doing the job. Once the skylights shipped in, they came in and put those in as well. There were several issues that came up that I had not anticipated, one of which was the fact that I had two old roofs to tear off and not just one like I thought. I felt bad about that and offered to pay extra for the extra tear off, but Ovi wouldn't take my money for it. A couple other smaller instances were the same deal. Ovi really wanted to make me happy and he succeeded. The roof itself looks great - I decided to keep shingles instead of going for tiles to avoid having to get the roof reinforced, and I'm glad I did since it looks excellent. Ovi really knows his area of expertise, and it pays to ask questions - he'll steer you the right way and I never felt pressured to buy something that I didn't want. I've worked with a lot of guys over the years and Ovi is definitely a good one. If you want a high quality result for a reasonable price then this is the guy you want. read more
