Visited here today for lunch and the waiter seated me quickly, took my order quickly, the food was brought out by German shortly thereafter. The waiter (sorry, I don't know his name) followed-up a couple times which I appreciate. The chile relleno today was excellent. The chips were hot and salsa very tasty. The ambiance is old school Mexican, and very clean from tables to restroom. I've been coming here for years and always appreciate German being personable. I brought friends here on Easter Sunday for brunch, and we really enjoyed all their buffet food, and service. Nice to go somewhere and not get programmed servers. read more

How and why this place was not packed on a Friday night, I don't know because it was SO good. They bring you homemade tortillas and spicy carrots with your chips and salsa. All of the food was delicious. The service was great. We had multiple people check on us throughout our dinner. The drinks were cheap and really good, also. My boyfriend and I shared a 20 oz. maragarita and that's literally all we needed. This is a hidden gem forsure and I really hope they get more business. We'll be back! read more

Went here out of desperation after starting a job nearby. Their food really isn't that good, and any shrimp dish you order will have chopped shrimp in it, not whole shrimp. Furthermore, some of their food suspiciously tastes as if it was cooked in the same pots and pans as a wet gym sock. I've put up with this place for 4 or 5 lunches and decided to never go back once a waiter demanded to know how I was going to pay for my food, barking "CASH OR CARD??" before I could even open the menu. Really bro? The next time I want to eat musty mexican food served by rude, pissed off waiters, I will give this place another shot. Worst dinning experience I have ever had. Food has gone down hill, chips and salsa and chip tasted old. The rice was hard and crunchie. The beans terrible touch. Had 2 orders of carne asada fries there was so much pico on them that it ruined them. The chicken fajitas the corn tortillas were hard and crunchie as well. Veggies fried in a lot of butter. Worst margaritas ever. Waitress never once came and asked how things were had to get up and find her to get service. She forgot to make one of the margaritas. We see her when she took the order and after me finding her and then when it was time for the check. Hope the night shift is better than this shift. I do not and would not recommend this place to anyone once everything went down hill there was no way of improving. read more

The best Mexican food I've had in San Diego! My dad and I order dinner from here once a week and we absolutely love it. He gets the seafood quesadilla and I get the beef enchiladas. Great food, environment and team! Being from mexico, it is very pleasant to be able to go to a place where I feel home and people treat with respect and care. I am not big in Yelping, but La Casa Blanca and their team truly deserve it. I would always recommend la Casa Blanca to friends and family. I bring my friends and coworkers all the time. Their micheladas are the best, as well as their food. My favorite plate is the mole enchiladas. German, is one of the servers and he takes the time to make sure we are always taken cared of and happy. Gracias Casa Blanca!!! 09/10/2016 We've frequented this place numerous times and I always know whatever dish I pick it will be amazing. Walking inside the wondrous scents and decor make you feel all happy and warm inside. The parking lot in the rear which is adjacent to an indoor soccer field, looks like a big tent for a circus. So if your in the mood for soccer you could play a short game or two before lunch or dinner. I ordered the Puerco y Papas, pork meat and potatoes prepared in chile ancho and chipotle sauce. Sledding down a hillside in the Cuyamaca Mountains as snow was falling. Hires Root Beer run to Yuma closest known source of that miracle liquid and to visit a friend. Delicious fried chicken dinners and bakery treats at the now closed Alpine Bread Basket. Now with my shiny groupon in my iPhone I stop in. Interesting location kind of on the side of the highway. I like how this place seems like a house. The free chips were very good. I could tell they were freshly made from the aroma, the crunchiness, and the excellent flavor! I ordered 3 tacos plain. I loved the flavor of the corn tortillas. The carne asada taco was excellent. The meat was tender and had excellent flavor from various spices. The beef taco was deep fried and had good crunch but was a bit overcooked and the meat on the outside was burnt. I rank it as below average. The carnitas taco was good. The carnitas was lacking that juices dripping onto the plate burst of flavor like at Carnitas Snack Shack that would have made it great. By the time she came, I decided to try mango margarita along with food. Surprising, it was huge but was even BIGGER was the price when I got the bill. I thought it was $6.50 like my beer but it was $9.95..WoW..and a margarita that doesnt have tequila, only agave wine. It tasted good but not THAT good. Better to get another beer next time. We had the mole chicken enchiladas, rice and chicken burrito and quest fundido. The mole tastes like a mix and was more paste than sauce. The burrito was just chicken and rice, no cheese or salsa. The quest fundido was just cheese on a plate run under a broiler, nothing special. The good side was that their $6 pina colada was absolutely massive and mostly rum. We came here for a date night and thought it was a cute little restaurant. Right as we walked in the hostess rolled her eyes and asked if we wanted a table or booth. We were seated at 6:38pm. Recieved chips and salsa immediately which were wonderful. At 7:10pm after sitting and trying to flag anyone down,without drinks or being checked up on, we decided to leave. Came for a date night with my husband and left severely disappointed and with an upset stomach. The seafood cocktail was BAD, like rancid. The shrimp was gray. The carnitas were greasy and served with big old pieces of onion and whole cilantro stems on top. The only saving grace was the margaritas (even though I found a spider on the rim of my glass) which ended up being the only thing we paid for. My wife and her friends were having a Girls Night Out, something they try to do periodically. It also happened to be the weekend before her birthday. I generously offered to be their designated driver, so they could imbibe without worrying how they were going to get home. The girls craved Mexican Food and wanted to eat in the La Mesa area. La Casa Blanca Mexican Restaurant popped up on my trusted Yelp app, I called to make a last minute reservation, which they were able to accommodate, saw that they were rated 4 stars, and off we went. Once again, Yelp didn't let us down. La Casa Blanca is located close to the 8 freeway next to what appeared to be a barbeque joint called Charcoal House. La Casa Blanca is exactly what the name is translated in English, which is a white house. From the outside it appears to be a good sized restaurant, but inside it is relatively modest. La Casa definitely won't be mistaken for anything other than a Mexican restaurant as you enter. You are greeted by Mexican music playing over the sound system. It's a cozy restaurant decorated in Spanish colors, Spanish artwork, Mexican cerveza signage, and for some reason, an affinity for the Most Interesting Man in the World. The weathered floor tile maintained the Spanish theme. There was a small cart that was manned by an employee who made homemade corn and flour tortillas. Our server and La Casa's employees provided memorable customer service, which I commend them for. La Casa's 4-star rating is on point specifically for the quality of their Mexican food. The complimentary tortilla chips and salsa were good, so much so that I had two serving baskets of chips and two rounds of salsa. The salsa is low on the spice level. I highly recommend La Casa's chile verde house special. You will not be disappointed. For a reasonable $12.95, you get a plate of flavorful, finger licking chunks of pork meat in a savory tomatillo sauce. My plate also came with a side salad, Mexican rice, beans, and homemade flour tortillas. The tortillas were hot and just complemented forkfuls of pork, rice, and beans folded into delicious bites. When I want to write a review immediately after my experience, you know that I've given my seal of approval for a particular restaurant. La Casa's chile verde has definitely earned my seal of approval and is a must try. Throw in the complimentary flan to celebrate the wifey's birthday and birthday song accompaniment from the employees, I really enjoyed my first time visit to La Casa. Give La Casa Blanca Mexican Restaurant a try because not only are you getting a highly Yelp rated restaurant, but you're also getting strong customer service and deliciously memorable Mexican food.
