We had several quotes to replace our roof. Findlay was the best price. We scheduled the roof replacement and were given a date that the shingles and dumpster would be delivered to us, the Friday before the re-roofing was scheduled. The dumpster came as scheduled, the shingles did not. We called and they looked into it. We got a follow up phone call on Saturday. They had the shingles delivered early Monday morning so the roof could still be replaced on Monday. It was supposed to take one day but due to the late morning start the roof replacement took two days. They did half of the roof the first day and the other half the second day. They only removed the old shingles from the half of the roof that they worked on that day. Our old roof was over 30 years old so they had let us know in advance some of the underlying wood would most likely need to be replaced. They quoted how much it was per square yard to replace the wood. They also estimated how much might need to be replaced with the caveat that it could be better or worse depending on how much rotten wood there actually was. At the end of the first day, they called and let us know how much wood was replaced and again at the end of the second day. It was a reasonable amount. The final price of the roof was slightly below what we though it would be because we didn't need as much of the wood replaced as they thought we might need. The crew that came was pleasant and hard working. They cleaned up our yard nicely. The dumpster was taken away 2 days later. We are pleased with the new roof. A few months ago we were having trouble with our roof, mind you it was right at 20 years old and the problems started. We had several roofing companies come out and look at it and they all said "your roof is in good shape no problems." But yet I was getting water in the bathroom. We called Findlay and Cody came out and found several bad spots. We were happy with his honesty and with the price, so we set up the appointment to get our new roof. Picked out our color and set the appointment. A few days before the installation we were getting some hard rain coming In so I called Findlay an asked it they could send someone to put a tarp on the roof and they did. Couple days later our beautiful new roof was installed. After the crew was finished with everything they were all looking at the roof with me and were amazed on how the color matched my brick on my house, it was so great. My neighbors sent me email's telling me how much they loved the new roof. We are also having an addition added on next year to our house and spoke with the contractor about wanting the same roof, he asked who we used since it was brand new told him Findlay & he said he will get them to do the roof on the additional rooms. When my 18-year old roof started leaking in multiple places recently, I knew it was time to replace it. I also had a longstanding problem with poor attic ventilation that I'd hoped to resolve with the new roof. Several neighbors and co-workers recommended Findlay Roofing, so I contacted them and was able to get an appt the following afternoon. Peter Scharf with Findlay arrived the next day as scheduled, measured my roof and then spent well over an hour with me explaining options for correcting my attic ventilation issue, shingle choices, and answering all of my questions. He left me with a detailed written estimate and large folder with useful product information and reference material. On installation day, the roofing crew arrived on time and, despite having to replace much more damaged decking and other wood than expected, still finished the job in one day as planned. Throughout the day, Peter maintained contact with me by phone or text to ensure all went smoothly - very professional and very much appreciated. When addressed by his superior Billy Curcio, no better. Billy is the team leader and Austin is untrained. Steve Findlay thinks Tony Wyss is a perfect fit. Steve Findlay should actually know what is going on with his company. Steve I would love to discuss Austin's behavior in great detail with you and Tony. Tony believes in transparency. That is a joke. All Austin cared about was his quota with Findlay. Tony, I assume Billy reached out to you and discussed my situation. I waited thinking you might reach out. We used Findlay Roofing to replace a large outdoor balcony/patio that spanned the length of the second floor of our home. The previously installed balcony/patio was at the end of its useful life, and we had water intrusion issues. Knowing that the job was not straightforward, we reached out to Findlay for the specialized project. At our previous home, Findlay replaced a flat roof that was improperly installed by another Atlanta roofing company - we knew the work would be of the highest quality and prevent future water issues. Findlay did a fantastic job replacing balcony/patio in a timely manner. Having used Findlay on 2 projects, we can attest to the quality of work, customer service/communication, and ability to do the difficult jobs you can't trust to ordinary roofing companies/contractors. You do not want to do business with Findley roofing ( aka Roof Roof ) . They replaced my entire roof. I paid cash. BIG MISTAKE!! poor workmanship resulting in leaks, water spots on ceiling. Damage under edge of roof. When I reported this to Findley they sent their trouble shooter to look at the problem. (BILL PARSONS) He concluded that because the spots were dry, there was no problem. Note: we had no rain for weeks so the spots were dry. I have made several request To Findley to fix the problems. Also to send me the pictures that Bill P. said he took and said he would send to me. They got their money and will not stand behide their work. You do not want to do business with FINDLEY ROOFING!!!!! also,, nails left in drive, had to buy new tire. We have a difficult roof layout with numerous radii. Some of the "specialty" roofing companies in Atlanta didn't even dare to give us an estimate. Findlay Roofing wasn't the cheapest, but the most experienced and professional. They didn't just replace our roof, but they were able to create the positive slope throughout the roof in order to improve water drainage. Our project took two weeks due to the complexity of the roof. The crew that worked on our house was excellent! They were always on time and cleaned up at the end of each day of work. I needed to replace my original roof after 26 years. I'd heard about Findlay Roofing on WSB radio while listening to one of their roofing experts answer questions from listeners. I approached Findlay on their website, was immediately contacted the next day and received an written quote for a total replacement roof with new 6 inch gutters and gutter leaf guards. Made quick work of a very difficult job. 10" pitch requires harness & rope. Very good clean up. Don't know how they worked around all my flowers & shrubs with barely breaking a branch. I am very satisfied with work quality & price. Make sure your attic items are covered. There will be OSB chips & sawdust on them when installing ridge vents. I knew this beforehand & was prepared. Expect some nails in your driveway. Foreman spoke enough English to get by; was informational & friendly. A very picky person would have been upset but after all this is the real world. read more
