Do you need a new roof? We did. After talking to several neighbors who used Findlay Roofing we decided to call them. A salesman by the name of Shane Dawson came over and gave us an estimate. The estimate seemed like a fair price but unfortunately our insurance would not pay for a new roof. So my wife and I started to save our money. I realize that insurance money is no different than your out of pocket money, but you know what I mean. Later on in the year we saved enough money for the new roof. Shane said prices had gone up but he would honor the original quote. So we started the process and Findlay installed our new roof. After the install my wife and I noticed a few imperfections in the drip edge. Tony Wyss the Co-Owner of Findlay Roofing made it clear that "he would not be happy until we were happy". How many roofing companies would do that? Stand behind their product and workmanship? Well, they did. Our roof and drip edge looks great. It was installed with the quality and perfection that we expected from Findlay Roofing. I know your home is probably one of the largest investments most people will ever make. Horrible customer service. Had a quote done for wind damage to my roof over a month ago and have been trying to schedule the repair ever since. I have left multiple messages and spoke with their main office multiple times requesting the scheduling of the repair needed for my roof. I have signed and returned the estimate with no response back. I would not recommend using this firm as I now am looking for another vendor to complete my repairs. read more

Trying to find good craftsmen for work around the house, at a reasonable price, is a pain. (If you've tried, you know what I mean). I had three other quotes, two of which jerked me around with extras, permit fees, and upgrades: One increased almost 30% from the first quote. The third one was also very professional, but the highest quote. I'm sure they would have done good work as well. Findlay is a larger company, but not huge. Their salesman was knowledgeable and pleasant, gave me a price right away. Their price was almost the lowest, and a good value for the work they did. Their crew was pretty good, hard-working, and fast. My house was 30 squares (3000 square feet) of roof, and they were essentially done by noon. Then they spent until 5 on the small details: waterproofing, flashing, some caulk, and cleanup. When they left they didn't leave a trace: the yard was cleaner than before they came. Bottom line: Roofing is expensive, can't get away from that unless you do it yourself. But the roof is essential for the protection of the house. Findlay communicated well, did good work, and made it easy to get it done. I hope I never need another roof, but I'd call these guys again. read more

Man, these people are ridiculous. I care home one day and they were there (they never told me they were coming) and they were doing work that was different than what was agreed to. THEN, they broke one of our windows. Well, that was in January, and since then no one has fixed the window or the roof. They've scheduled and appointment to fix the window and no showed, and then didn't answer calls or emails. Finally got a hold of someone who got a person out here to measure for the window. After the window showed up a week late, I called back (learned I have to stay on top of these people) and they were just going to show up the next day to install it without even calling (AGAIN) because it had magically been delivered that day. When I told him that wouldn't work he managed to reschedule and said he would call me the night before, but I never got a call...where is my window?? read more

I have a leak around my skylights. Called Findlay and they came out and looked. The guy said when the roof was replaced they didn't put any ice and water Shield around the flashing when the roof was replaced. Gave me a quote for $650 to fix it right. Well the roof was actually replaced in 2011 by Findlay. I asked them why it wouldn't be covered under warranty. They said it would be covered under warranty and a guy came out to fix it. It was the same guy who gave me the quote. He went up on the roof and sealed some areas with something in a caulk gun then got in is truck and left. Now guess what, I am sitting here looking at the sheetrock get wet from the rain. Be careful with this company. read more

Top notch service from beginning to end. The sales associate came out and flew a drone all over the roof and showed me the footage - yep, needed new roof. He went over everything with me, was so knowledgeable about materials, color etc. and gave me a packet of information and a checklist of everything to expect the insurance company to ask for. It was so easy. Insurance adjuster came out, talked to the Finley guy and both agreed that I needed a new roof. An appt time was set for the next week, check for 50% came in a couple of days. They brought 4 roofers and would have finished except it started raining late in the afternoon but they came back on the weekend and finished up-oh and completely tarped the unfinished section in the dark before they left. Very nice crew. Brought their own lunch and drinks - never once asked for anything. Now they did leave my gutter guards on the ground and they were supposed to put them back so when I called about it, Findley sent a crew over and put brand new gutter guards on at no cost and disposed of my 24 year old ones. I received the final check after completion in a day or so. I just can't say enough good things about their service. I've never had a roof replaced and had heard horror stories but my experience with Findley was pleasant and pain free! And my insurance company Homesite was just as awesome. read more

Well, here what transpired about 5 or so years ago. Findlay sent "a salesman" out to our house to review what we wanted, the roofing estimate (as well as a new roof for our sunroom attached to house). Everything went okay but I was a little concerned with a salesman being our point of contact rather than an individual that really knows and has worked over some years with ROOFING! Well, he did the estimate and it seemed okay to us. Separately, he did the sunroom roof estimate; as i recall, that was something like $1700 for that room exclusively. It's been five plus years here, so I'm remembering as best we can. I do remember the "sales" aspect being of concern to me on more than one front. But, we went forward. After the main house roof was put on, I was happy; it looked nice. Then, the re-did the roof over the sunroom. I wasn't happy a bit with this. Rather than being shingles, it was two (or more?) large strips of what appeared to be commercial type. I wasn't liking that a bit, but they explained to me that because of the slope of the roof, that was best. I questioned (and complained) about not being apprised beforehand so I would have the opportunity to check things out. I don't remember all the particulars, but Findlay wasn't behaving professionally about this: they were heavy handed, I thought, and rather snide in their dealings with me at this juncture. After about a couple or more weeks of unsuccessful communication, I decided to go forward and pay the remaining bill: initially I thought I would not, but, in the end, withholding the payment didn't sit well with me (even though!!). So we sent the remaining monies due. Fast forward to today: I called Findlay Roof Roof because of what seems to be a leak in the sunporch roof. Several hours later I was happy at the fast response when I saw their Findlay name come up on my phone: However, an ill-bred young woman named Ashley informed me that they would not honor their warraty because "You owe $18,000.... " I informed her this is wrong, I paid that bill in full. I asked for another and got another ill behaved employee named Holly. Anyways, I guess I will be getting a lawyer or going to small claims court. Yelp, I paid in full, with good reason actually NOT TO, and now they say ($18,0000 ---- I have NO IDEA where they got this!! ha). I will go get the paperwork because I no longer want personnel who conduct their business lives to do anything for me. DON"T hire these people. Senior Roofing Specialist "Alex Tymchuk" shows up spend 5 minutes talking to me on what I want, measures the roof by way of satellite photos and hands me an estimate and says "sorry I have to run , but I have 10 more estimates to do today". I called and asked for another specialist come to redo what this INEXPERIENCED fella tried to do, Findley made an appointment to send someone else. We had a quote & were scheduled for a new roof before the other company even had time to look at our roof. The crew was extremely fast & thorough. Clean-up was perfect, not a single piece of trash left behind. The office staff called during installation to let us know how many pieces of plywood had to be replaced so we wouldn't be caught off guard with billing. And the end product, our new roof, is beautiful! We were extremely impressed with the entire process, from quote to final invoice. I chose Findlay Roofing to do my renovations after a fire. Big mistake. After several leaks coming from the "newly constructed" roof, they finally came out and put on another new roof. There was certainly a lack of desire to create quality work and complete the job. The first crew did more damage then the fire itself. A second crew came in and wrapped it up with mid-grade quality work. Too many problems to list. I should have checked reviews for other local companies. Very disappointing and a headache to deal with. They left a huge mess. I called Findlay Roofing for a quote on a metal roof. They were very friendly and made an appointment within a reasonable amount of time. Bobby came out and took measurements on a Tuesday (back in April 2016) and told me he would have a quote for me by Friday. The following week I called and left him a voice mail to make sure he had my correct email address, but no response. I called a couple of days later and left a message that if they did not want my business to let me know and I will find a new company. I never heard anything from them. I only called this company because they are highly recommended on a radio station. I ended up using Keith Pritchett Roofing, and they were excellent and my metal roof looks great. read more

Findlay's salesman came out, inspected our roof and told us what we already knew, viz. that we needed a new roof, gutters and downspouts. Among other facts he told us that the roofing crews were full-time Findlay employees and not day laborers picked up on a street corner. We found that to be true; in fact, their crew foreman had been with them for 15 years. They arrived on time and completed the job without delay. Nicole in their service department did a good job of communicating with us. The roofing job cost as estimated and the gutter, downspout and leaf guard cover was done under the estimate - what a pleasant surprise for us! The crew did a good job of cleaning up. I was referred to this company by a wonderful home inspector, Tim Reed, because I needed an HONEST, dependable company who wouldn't say something was wrong if there wasn't. Marcos Ruiz came out and addressed my concerns. He did a thorough inspection of an area that a shady inspector (NOT Tim Reed) had said was a problem. As we suspected, we did not have a roof leak. They are just okay. Maybe I was expecting more because of the 5 star ratings. Really liked sales person "Chris" who came out to take measurements and give us an estimate, but we never heard from Chris again. Lack of communication from the office staff. FIndlay delayed in ordering product, which affected our installation date by 3 weeks. Weather delays (which I understand, but because it delayed previous jobs, we were not notified that our date had changed). Distribution company also wasn't notified and tried to deliver product a week early. Always seemed chaotic whenever I called the office. Installation crew was very hardworking. However, we there was a language barrier. The 'lead' barely spoke any English so it was hard to communicate. There were a few cosmetic issues that needed to be addressed. But it's a little rental house and I can't afford a new roof. Both jobs I had done were extremely prompt and well done. Neither one was more expensive than the original estimate. We had a horrible experience with the company. We were having an issue with a leak in our family room. After asking some neighbors on NextDoor, we decided to go with this company. We had someone come out and take a look and we were told the problem was the flashing around our chimney that needed to be replaced. We said OK and scheduled the repair. The day that the repair was supposed to be done came and went and we received no invoice or notification that it was done. Then we were looking at our roof a few days later and realized the shingles were different around the chimney in the front of our house. They had done the WRONG chimney. We called and finally got them to come and fix it 1-2 weeks later. There was no offer to give a discount for the mistake and no real apology. Then a few months go by and we notice the roof is STILL leaking. We call them to come out and look at it because we have a warranty that should cover it. First of all, it took calling at least 3-4 times before I could get in contact with the right person in charge of scheduling in the "warranty department". Then when someone finally came out, they told us the issue was cracks in our chimney that had been present the ENTIRE time. Needless to say, after that we were done dealing with them. So we got a second and third opinion from other companies. Would never use this company again and would not recommend to anyone. read more

However, this is one of the worse companies I have worked with. Our initial contact was with the salesman and, of course, the salesman came out on time - he wants to sell!! From that point on it went downhill. The did not appear on the day designated to take measurements. They came the next day late. Our actual roofing repair was scheduled today and no one showed up. We called the office only to be told they couldn't find the person we were to talk with. He later called and asked if they could come next Monday. We promptly said that we were no longer interested in working with this company. Perhaps they do an adequate job at roof repair, but their customer service is the poorest I have experienced and we live in an old home that has necessitated many repairs through the 40 years we have lived in it. Had new gutters and a couple of downspouts installed (some debris left for me to pickup). Immediately after installation, we got a downpour and one of the sections was leaking (at the end cap). After two re-scheduling attempts, no return calls from the salesperson later and two weeks, they sent a person who repaired the 3 foot section. I have used Findlay in the past and was happy enough with the service to have them come out and look at a new problem. The sales guy came out, looked at the problem which involves replacing a metal roof over an overhang. I was told he would put the estimate together and email it to me within a couple of days. A week passed and I called back asking where was the estimate. The lady who answered the phone said she would contact him and get it right over. A few more days passed and I called again, the man who answered verified my email address and said I'd have it that day. Guess what? No estimate. Clearly they don't follow up and do what they say. The roof looks OK, but the office staff and salesman Chris are terrible on following up on numerous complaints/concerns I had/have after the install. I sent them a picture of about 20 nails, 50 staples, and various other items I found in my driveway when they finished. The next day I found a broken piece of brick that they knocked off above my porch. The my heat wouldn't work, seems their guy ripped out the thermostat wire when he was in my attic. At 11:34 I received a call from the technician noting he was doubled booked for Fayetteville and Griffin (21 miles apart) for 12:00 noon. He asked if I could reschedule for 2:00. I told him no, I had a doctor's app't at 2:15. He said he would call the other "customer" then call me back. 20 minutes later (almost noon) he called me back and said he couldn't be at my house at noon. I had a negative experience with Findlay Roofing. I needed a roofing inspection and estimate as part of selling a house. I made an appointment with Findley to come out. The day of the appointment, the inspector comes out two hours early without notifying me. So I wasn't on-hand to observe. His report was that the roof was at end of life and he provided a quote. Since I wasn't there and since I like multiple quotes for expensive items, I called another company for a quote (Dr. Roof). This inspector showed up on time and went on the roof and told us the roof had been replaced and had another 10 years of life and there were no indicated repairs. I spoke to the Findlay inspector and he admitted he never went on the roof and based his examination on the condition of our neighbors' roofs! (Our roof is not easily visible from the ground.) This inaccurate information would have had us replace a roof unnecessarily and did harm the sales price of our house. When I called the Findlay inspector, he rather rudely told me that if we didn't like his approach (based on years of experience he said) that we were free to go with someone else. I hired Findlay Roofing to repair a water leak in my living room because they said it would be guaranteed. There is still a leak ruining my ceiling and wall. I complained and they came out and said the flashing they installed was correct. I did not hire them to install flashing or whatever, I hired them to fix the leak. Their response was and additional estimate for $1,600 and would not guarantee the leak would be fixed. I tried to comprise with them to get the leak fixed. The operations manager, Marcella Radtke, then sent me an email withdrawing the estimate and said that they were parting ways with me. read more
