I initially hired Gerber to tune-up all my existing pavers, add a new paver driveway, and add some new path lighting. Adding the new driveway was somewhat of a challenge as the adjacent paver sidewalks were initially constructed over 10 years ago. So, Gerber was able to find a great match to my existing pavers and masterfully piece the new driveway together in such a fashion where old and new appear seamless. Amazing!!! During the process, we learned that his team also offered landscaping. So as the hardscaping and lighting was coming to an end, his team met with us for a design consultation. Both Kathy and Katherine brought some great experience/knowledge to assess our current situation and offered wonderful ideas to the overall design. If you…read morehave ​N​EVER called, engaged, ​h​ired, requested services,​ signed a work-order or contract and still want to be ABUSED, HARASSED and EXTORTED by a company - Rose Restoration should be your first stop! I hired a commercial general contractor (GC) and my fixed-bid contract was ONLY with the GC. The GC has freedom to hire any person to work on the project. Rose Restoration was subcontracted by my GC's vendor. Rose Restoration is claiming that the vendor that contracted them did not pay them even though we have paid 100% of what was owed to the vendor. They are claiming that there were change-orders that are pending. I asked them to present me the approved change-orders in Aug 2025 which they still haven't done. We do not pay any more than the contract states except if we receive a change order. The change order has to be approved before any work stated on the change order is performed. No change order was ever presented to us - I had not even heard of Rose Restoration till months after the project was delivered. After the project was delivered, we paid 100% of what was owed to the GC as that is our only legal touch-point. Rose Restoration has been haranguing me - who they have never met or engaged - instead of taking it up with the vendor who contracted them. Even though I did not know them and had no legal obligation to them, I tried to help them out by facilitating this issue with the GC and the vendor. If the basis ​for the dispute has been the change orders, why can't they present it even after 6 months? Just leads me to believe that this is just an attempt to EXTORT. Avoid this business like the plague - if this is how they treat people with whom they do not have a work-order or contract, I can only imagine how they treat their direct customers.

Several of the flagstone pieces have…read morecame loose, one was chipped and had to be replaced and there was a lot of efflorescence on the vertical veneer stones. Several masonry companies had quoted me ridiculous prices and insisted that the veneer stone would have to be replaced. Mr. Avelar came out to quote the job and was positive that he could get off the efflorescence and would also repair the flagstone. He also quoted me less than half of what the other masonry companies quoted me. He did the job efficiently and in under two days. He removed the efflorescence completely, thereby avoiding the extra cost of replacing the veneer. I highly recommend Avellan Masonry LLC for any stonework that you require.
