We hired Toney and his crew to replace our old deck with a much larger multi-level composite deck, with a drainage/gutter system under the upper deck and a finished ceiling and lighting system underneath to create an outdoor living room on the lower deck. They did an absolutely fabulous job at a fair price. The crew are hard workers and real craftsmen -- they built it the right way with a proactive eye for detail and aesthetics. I hired Acclaim back in 2020 to tear down my existing unsafe deck, build anew composite deck, and patio underneath. The job overall was sub-par, mostly due to the decision to use floor boards as rail caps when they discovered late in the process that the color I chose for the flooring did not have matching rail caps. As a result the rail caps have bowed away from the railing. I had hoped that in the discussion about this, there would at least be some attempt to remedy the issue, but no. I was referred to the warranty and they walked away. I grew up in construction and have felt that companies in the DC area pale in comparison to other parts of the country. I chose Acclaim over other providers because of their competitive pricing and I had high hopes that they would do a wonderful job and I'd find a trusted contractor for other services like a kitchen remodel.
