I purchased the Silver The French Laundry Gift Experience Card on May 13th on the website. I called asking if the gift card would arrive before Sunday, May 18th and was assured it would be if purchased that day. So I did. Since the recipient lives in California, there was a 1-business-day option for FedEx Home Delivery (photo attached). Thursday I see the label was created but not shipped. By Friday the gift card was still yet to be shipped. I called that Friday morning and asked why the package had yet to be shipped. They apologize (only reason I gave two stars instead of one) and then told me that packages are picked up only on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. So it will be picked up today and then it would be two business days. Allyson, who was assisting me, told me she was changing the shipping to overnight and that it would arrive the next day. On Saturday morning, I checked and saw that the package would not be delivered until Monday. I informed Allyson via email, and she told me she had called FedEx as well, but there was nothing she could do. I let her know how disappointed I was over email, but I still have not heard back--not even an apology. This is the ultimate Thomas Keller merch store. They have branded gifts representing all of Thomas Keller's entities -- Bouchon, French Laundry and La Calenda. You can find aprons, clothing, cookbooks, cooking utensils and almost anything else you'd like. The high quality products are displayed in beautifully lit white shelves showing minimal clutter. It's as impeccable of a presentation as any dish at a Thomas Keller restaurant. If you want gifts, souvenirs or mementos from Yountville, this is a great choice.

This shop is pretty, tidy, and organized with such precision that it's an OCD person's dream. Fearful that I'd disturb the balance in The Force, I was afraid to touch anything! This gorgeous little shop carries all things Thomas Keller! If you are a foodie, aspiring chef or just a fan of high falootin' cuisine, you need to pay this place a visit. It's the perfect place to buy a Bouchon or Ad Hoc cookbook, baking sheets, silver clothespins from the French Laundry, olive oil, gluten free waffle mix, herb scissors, stemware, pepper mills and more. If you need a quick (expensive) hostess gift or amazing present for any food lover, I can assure you that anything you purchase here will be a home run. If you visit during the holiday season, you'll want to marvel at the store's inventive Christmas tree that's crafted out of French Laundry cookbooks!

********************* 1226 ********************** Love everything about this store, "It's all about FINESSE." As chef Thomas Keller always says and signs his cookbooks. The store is extremely organized. Every little thing is precise, orderly, and facing exactly the same direction. It has the blue signature color door as The French Laundry down the street and Per Se in NYC. It's meticulously beautiful and it makes me want to touch everything and disorganize it :-) From chef Thomas Keller cookbooks to hot sauce at Ad Hoc, from powder of Bouchon Bakery to the apron, from salt and pepper shakers to Equator coffee, you will find it here. I came here to get the French Laundry cookbook to sign be chef Thomas Keller last Friday DEC 13th, 2014 from 3:30-5:30 PM. I drove 2 hours in the rain from that "storm of the decade" #Stormagadon, to be there at noon. Yup, 3.5 hours before the signing because I want to be the first 1 in line. Haha! Laura, the wonderful salesperson at the Finesse The Store told me that I was too early, no kidding. So I went to lunch and brought some pastries to go for my parents and nieces, as well as a cup of coffee at Bouchon Bakery. I came back to the store by 1:45 PM, no one there but me in line. I got to chat with a few folks just finished their lunch at the French Laundry, it was fun we got to share our experience. Then I decided to sit on the floor, while sipping my coffee and look through the cookbook. Then the door opened. It was chef Keller asked if I was alright. I was so embarrassed to be seen on the floor (ghetto me). Chef helped me to get up and asked what I was doing there. I said I came for the book signing. It was 2:05 PM by then. The book signing is at 3:30 PM. Chef asked where my books and then signed it right away. he didn't want me to wait till 3:30 PM. He signed my friends book too. I got to chat with chef for a bit about my experiences at The French Laundry when I came with a first date in July 2014 and it went down hill after that. Chef was genuinely listened to me. And the 2 books I asked chefs to sign for my friends, they both came to TFL with me in June and July 2014, I told chef. Then I reminded chef that I saw him at Vegas Uncork'd in May 2014. I'm sure he was overwhelmed with me stalking him and his restaurants ;-) I'm truly a fan, what can I say. He was so kind, genuine, gracious and warm, and this is the many times I have met chef Keller. Each time it gets better then the last. He took another picture with me, signed all my books. I'm so touched and humbled by the experience! It was truly 1 of the best day of my life. And I can't wait to come back to The French Laundry for 1 last time in DEC 2014 before they close down for 6 months renovation their kitchen. P.S. I also find out that you can buy the cookbooks here where chef Keller had already signed all the books. So check out the Finesse The Store in downtown Yountville, behind the Bouchon restaurant, whenever you visit Napa. Laura, thank you for talking to me during that time I was so early. I really appreciate it. Happy holidays to you and yours.

After exploring other affordable options, we almost didn't do new countertops at all; but at the last minute we found an inexpensive orphan quartzite slab that we loved at another shop. It was cheap not only because it was an orphan but also because it had some issues, including a giant fissure on the back, a deep vein on one side, and chipping along one edge. On top of that, it was on the smallish side. We took this problem to GBR. They arranged for the slab to be delivered to their shop and took very careful measurements of our kitchen. Then they did a wonderful job of talking us through all the challenges that this choice of slab brought with it -- but best of all, they suggested solutions and alternatives to make it possible to use it in our kitchen. GBR knocked it out of the park on the cutting and installation. The counters and island look perfect! They were even able to enlarge the top of the island a little from the size of the old one. We could not be happier with the results. They were a delight to work with and we will definitely work with them again if we do additional work to the house.

From the outset, Geoff and his team demonstrated an exceptional understanding of our family's needs, which they transformed into a beautiful house design that resonates with our aspirations and lifestyle. We are currently transitioning to the construction phase, and are excited to raise our family in such a thoughtfully designed space. Also, Geoff and team are true experts at navigating the San Francisco permitting process. They efficiently moved us through permitting, both reacting to feedback from the city and helping us manage our neighbors. Honestly, we could not have permitted the house without their guidance. I am extremely disappointed with the after-sales service I received from San Jose Appliance Store…read moreand intend to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. When my old oven stopped heating, I decided to replace it rather than repair it. I found San Jose Appliance Store through Craigslist, contacted Anthony, and arranged delivery of a used oven. The oven was delivered promptly, and my old oven was hauled away for an additional fee. Unfortunately, after installation, I discovered that the front burner would not ignite properly. When it did light, it often released gas into the kitchen first, creating what I believed to be a serious safety concern. To the company's credit, they sent a technician to inspect the stove. The technician was courteous, but the repair was unsuccessful. During the visit, brake cleaner was sprayed inside my kitchen, leaving strong fumes throughout the house. My wife and son both complained about the odor, and my son later developed a headache. A few days later, another repair attempt was made when a replacement part was brought to my home unannounced. Unfortunately, it was the wrong part. I then contacted GE directly and discovered that the serial number listed in the advertisement was incorrect. Once the correct information was identified, I learned the stove was also missing two racks and required a replacement handle. I ultimately spent about $150 replacing those items. I was also unable to obtain a proper invoice because I was mistakenly given another customer's paperwork. When I raised these concerns, I was told the stove had been sold "as is" despite the advertised 30-day warranty. I was also told the missing parts and defective burner were merely cosmetic issues and accused of "trying to demand money." To be clear, I never demanded money. I simply asked the company to provide the correct replacement part so the stove could be repaired safely and function as represented. That request was never fulfilled. Anthony briefly suggested a trade-in arrangement, but multiple messages later indicated that no exchange would take place. The only remaining option offered was another repair attempt, by which point I had lost confidence in the process. Adding to my frustration, I later discovered that the oven I paid to have hauled away was being advertised for resale on the company's website. At this point, I have purchased the necessary burner part myself and will hire a qualified technician to complete the repair. This has been an expensive lesson. I was not seeking a refund, discount, or special treatment. I simply wanted an oven that worked safely and a company that stood behind its warranty. Update: In response to the owner's reply, I would like to clarify a few points. My concerns remain unchanged. The oven was sold with a faulty burner, and despite two repair attempts, the issue was never resolved. I also did not "demand" money. I initially proposed a simple solution: that the business owner obtain the correct replacement part and ship it to me, which would have eliminated the need for any refund. When no effective resolution was provided, I purchased the correct part myself. This was not merely a cosmetic matter. The issue involved a burner that failed to ignite properly and allowed gas to accumulate before lighting, which I considered a legitimate safety concern. At this point, I no longer expect this business to honor its warranty when doing so is inconvenient or costly. My review is based solely on my personal experience. I encourage prospective customers to consider all available information, including both the owner's response and customer reviews, and make their own informed decision.

A very very basic cleaning job was done... but it so incomplete that I couldn't even tell anyone had been there to clean- except that the toilet paper ends had been folded up in a hotel way / my child's bed was made. But even the dirty dishes and food my child had accumulated in her room was left in a pile on a chair in there. Window linings and exterior windows still are caked in dust, bugs, dirt ! That's the one thing I needed real help on, the one thing I specifically requested multiple times , in very clear details, to be done! And despite me specifically asking for detailed window cleaning included in the price of the clean... & being promised such. I paid this company THREE TIMES AS MUCH as much as I paid my usual cleaner. For this half-job on my new 3 bed 2 bath house in Fairfield, than what I paid for my 2 bed 1 bath place in South San Francisco. So , not much bigger place, living in a lower cost of living area, yet 3x the COST.. for worse job? I don't even know if the exorbitant flat price I paid included tip (or even decent pay) for those who cleaned my house. As a single mother of a developmentally delayed child working multiple jobs on a tight income , no time to deep clean things clean myself but busting my @$$ to keep it all together on my own... I feel grateful that someone else did something productive in this home other than me for once! But I'm also sad & irritated seeing my home is barely any cleaner than I left it for them, and, that I could've saved that money for things our family needs and done better on it myself. Which unfortunately I'll have to do next time.

This is something I request from anyone working on my property to make sure both parties are covered in case of damage or injury. I work in property insurance, so this is a standard precaution I recommend to my own clients. I actually hired them in 2020 for a cleaning and it went fine, which is why I reached out again. This time, the company told me they had never been asked for a COI by a client before, and shortly after, they cancelled my appointment, saying they felt I was "setting them up." I was surprised by this reaction, as reputable service providers typically have liability insurance and can provide proof without issue. Because they refused to provide a COI and cancelled my booking, I cannot speak to the quality of their current work. However, I would caution other homeowners that if you want to ensure a vendor is insured, this may not be the right company for you.

The major remodeling…read morejob they did for us transformed our kitchen and master bathroom in ways that literally improved our feelings about our new house in Roseville. We are still in that phase where we sit and stare in awe at what ADH accomplished for us. This major construction journey began last fall, when I thoroughly researched every well-reviewed home remodeling company serving this area. I only considered companies with more than 4 stars on Yelp and Google. We interviewed and received bids from five of them, and we were comfortable choosing ADH. We now know we made exactly the right decision. Amazingly, ADH came to us with a proposal that included everything on our wish list, and at a significantly more reasonable price than any of the others. We were impressed by their showroom, and we were especially drawn to ADH because it has its own manufacturing facility, where it custom-makes the high-end cabinetry it installs. Osa was our designer, and she was terrific. Osa was easy to work with, always available when we needed her help, and supportive in every way imaginable. Spending at this level, and contemplating at least a month of daily construction in the home, is stressful. Yet Osa assured us and explained the process in ways that alleviated many of our concerns. We felt fortunate to have her at our side all along the way. Every single ADH employee that we interacted with was a pleasure to deal with. Andrey was our project manager, and his competence and calm demeanor throughout were always helpful. Our remodel involved having workers in our home every day for a month. The respect and care they showed for our home and our comfort throughout the construction period were above and beyond anything we expected. I am posting pictures of the before and after, but no photo can do justice to the dramatic difference these changes made to our home. The quality of the cabinets is outstanding, the countertops are magnificent, and the fit and finish of every part this project are first-class all the way. Obviously, I highly recommend ADH for any level of remodeling you are thinking about. You should do whatever amount of research makes you comfortable, but to the extent that customer reviews make a difference to you, know that this customer is an enthusiastic endorser of this terrific company.
