The oven was delivered promptly, and my old oven was hauled away for an additional fee. Unfortunately, after installation, I discovered that the front burner would not ignite properly. When it did light, it often released gas into the kitchen first, creating what I believed to be a serious safety concern. To the company's credit, they sent a technician to inspect the stove. The technician was courteous, but the repair was unsuccessful. During the visit, brake cleaner was sprayed inside my kitchen, leaving strong fumes throughout the house. My wife and son both complained about the odor, and my son later developed a headache. A few days later, another repair attempt was made when a replacement part was brought to my home unannounced. Unfortunately, it was the wrong part. I then contacted GE directly and discovered that the serial number listed in the advertisement was incorrect. Once the correct information was identified, I learned the stove was also missing two racks and required a replacement handle. I ultimately spent about $150 replacing those items. I was also unable to obtain a proper invoice because I was mistakenly given another customer's paperwork. Adding to my frustration, I later discovered that the oven I paid to have hauled away was being advertised for resale on the company's website. At this point, I have purchased the necessary burner part myself and will hire a qualified technician to complete the repair. This has been an expensive lesson. I was not seeking a refund, discount, or special treatment. I simply wanted an oven that worked safely and a company that stood behind its warranty. I purchase a used 2014 Subzero BI-48 from this store with 90 days warranty. Shortly after it was installed the icemaker area started to leak water resulting in the ice frozen together and water leaking in both the freezer and non-freezer compartments. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I called the store and they promptly came out to diagnose what might be the problem.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The short story is that they came out many times replacing the icemaker, water valve, and door between freeze and fridge. I insisted that they connect the range so that I could verify, Neither of the two ovens worked. Prior to that, Leslie tried to persuade me to make a $500 deposit prior to delivery. I only intended to go and try to find a newer fridge. The place snuck up me so no worries. Yes call before you head over there. They have to also maintain another location as well. There is no way I was going to home Depot/Airport/Lowes and spend 3K + on a new one. Life expectancy is 8-12 years. I got 23 out of my last one. They actually have a nice selection of new or used. I got the 28 CF French door on a good deal. Yes I can fix MOST fridge issues and studied up on this one. Not a problem. Now if your looking for the store with the shiny floors and massive lighting this is not it. That being said the guy (Owner I believe) who helped me informed me about the conditions of the items. He likes to haggle the price so do it. I wound up buying it and having them deliver it. I love helping small business's. His guys showed up (In the rain). Delivery was something like $50-80. They had to remove my front door and the fridge doors. I didnt have enough cash on me for a a great tip but I did have some. Refrigerator's are not the only items that they have but you need to check which store carries what your looking for. My dryer started squealing. We called a highly rated appliance repair co. They sent out a young guy who said motor was fine and it was pulley and belt. Ordered the kit. Then he tells me the motor pulley was bad and it cant be fixed. So I started looking for a used dryer. I went to four places and Tony Appliances was the last one we went to. Good selection and the prices were very good. Tony, Maria and Chelo were all very nice and plugged the dryer in. Works great. Delivery was very reasonable and so far I am very happy. Its been almost two months now. They have some nice used, new and scratch and dent appliances. Ask for Maria, she is great! Prices are right on the website . My really old Kitchen Aid refrigerator decided yesterday to die. So, this morning, in need of a fridge today, I went to Appliance Bay Area when they opened and met with the owner, Anthony. What a great person on so many levels. He has been rebuilding and selling appliances since he was 16. Really, really knowledgeable. The prices were great (10% lower than elsewhere). His dad delivered today and for a small fee hauled away the old fridge. They are a cash only business and honestly, I like that. I bought a new LG, but he has used as well. Sounds like soon they are going to expand to include more high end/expensive product line, and move the used to another location. But no matter what, I will for sure be visiting again. My dishwasher is probably next. The showroom is not fancy at all. Simple warehouse. But they had what I needed, at a price that could not be beat, very smart people, and delivered today.
